It was a calm Sunday afternoon when Mirio decided to take Lily to a nearby petting farm just outside the city—one of those hybrid urban nature zones that let monster girls volunteer to interact with families and promote interspecies harmony. The grassy field was wide, the sun was warm, and Lily was in full squish mode, giggling every time a toddler poked her and their hand went straight through her shoulder like it was soft jelly.
Mirio stood near a booth, sipping lemonade, watching as she carefully let a group of kids use her slime body as a trampoline. The squealing laughter and bounce-bounce-bounce rhythm of her gooey chest cushions being used as play pillows filled the air.
Then he noticed her stop mid-bounce.
Her eyes locked onto something.
—or someone.
A tall, curvy lamia woman in a crop top and sunglasses slithered by with practiced grace, her long green-scaled tail gliding across the grass like a velvet ribbon. Her skin was smooth and pale, her hair long and black, and her serpentine lower half easily stretched more than twenty feet from waist to tip. She gave a casual smile to a pair of volunteers, flashing pearly fangs.
Lily immediately slither-bounced after her.
Mirio barely had time to set his drink down before Lily was already squishing herself into the lamia's space.
"Hi! Hi! You're so shiny!" Lily beamed, waving both arms excitedly. "I've never hugged a snake girl before!"
The lamia blinked, slowly. "Uh… hello?"
"I'm Lily!" she said cheerfully, bouncing up and down in front of her. "You're sss-super long!"
"I, uh… thanks?" the lamia said cautiously. "I'm Vera."
Lily bounced higher. "Can I hug you? I hug everybody! Especially long soft things!"
Before Vera could reply, Lily had already launched herself forward, arms wide, and wrapped them tightly around the lamia's waist.
Squish.
Then Vera's tail tensed.
Mirio, still halfway across the field, saw it happen in slow motion. Lily's soft slime form wrapped too tightly around Vera's midsection—her body squished and clingy, her chest mashing into the lamia's ribs in an affectionate grapple.
Vera's tail coiled in reflex.
"W-Wait—!" Vera yelped.
But it was too late.
The tip of her tail looped once… then again… then again—around Lily's lower body, hips, and legs. A natural defensive reflex. Before either of them realized what was happening, Lily had been coiled into a snug, spiraling lamia grip.
"Eee~!" Lily squealed, flailing slightly as her gooey body compressed between coils of tight, scaly muscle. "You're strong!"
"You grabbed me outta nowhere!" Vera hissed, clearly flustered as her tail instinctively tightened. "I—I can't help it! It's an automatic reaction!"
Lily's torso melted slightly, her chest bouncing as the pressure increased. "Sssso cozy~"
"Don't start hissing!" Vera groaned, red in the face. "That's racist!"
Mirio ran up, completely out of breath. "Lily! What did you do?!"
"I hugged her!" Lily said proudly, still mashed between layers of coiled snake tail. "She's like a living noodle blanket!"
Vera clutched her face. "I'm trying not to squeeze too tight, but she's just so squishy! It's like cuddling a water balloon with boobs!"
Lily giggled, melting slightly to wrap her upper body tighter around Vera's shoulders. "We're stuck now, huh?"
"Get off me!!"
But it was no use.
The more Vera squirmed, the more Lily adapted—shifting her body to conform to the curves of the lamia's coils, sticking like affectionate jelly. Her tentacle-hair even slithered out and playfully wrapped around Vera's arms.
Mirio covered his face. "Oh gods, they've entangled."
A crowd began to gather.
"I can explain!" Vera shouted. "She—she just stuck to me!"
"I like hugging slippery friends!" Lily chimed.
"She hugged me without warning!"
"And now we're snuggle buddies!"
"I can feel her through my scales!"
Mirio reached for Lily. "Lily, let go of the nice lamia."
"I can't~" she cooed, now almost completely absorbed between Vera's folds. "It's warm. She's warm. I wanna stay forever."
"You're gonna suffocate her!"
"I'm fine," Vera muttered, flushing deeper. "But this is deeply awkward."
They shuffled awkwardly in place, drawing more attention. Lily squished. Vera squirmed. One of the booth attendants tried to help but just got stuck in Lily's gel and slipped backward into a chair.
Eventually, Mirio pulled out the emergency thermos of cold tea he always brought for cooldown situations.
He poured a splash onto Lily's shoulder.
Shhhhhhhpssshh—
Lily shivered, her body stiffening slightly from the chill.
"Ooohhh—cold!"
She loosened.
Vera gasped and immediately slithered backward, unraveling her coils and collapsing in a heap on the grass, panting.
Lily reformed fully upright and blinked. "Did I win the hug?"
"No," Vera said flatly, face still pink. "You won permanent embarrassment."
Mirio helped her up. "Sorry. She's… very friendly."
"I noticed."
Lily gave her a proud double thumbs-up. "Ten outta ten would coil again!"
Vera groaned. "You're lucky you're cute."
"Hubby says the same thing!"
Mirio sighed.
And promised himself that next weekend… they were staying indoors.
