A week later, Melody Parker was picked up from the hospital by the servants. She held her baby in her arms, but saw the car heading straight to the airport.
Waiting there was her stepmother Phoebe. Melody got out of the car with her baby, and by Phoebe's side stood Sibel, a servant of the Parker family.
"Melody, your father said to send you abroad; you can no longer stay in River City. You've disgraced the Parker family completely. Live well in Fland, Sibel will take care of you!"
After Phoebe finished speaking, she handed the luggage to Sibel, turned around, and left in the car.
Melody chased after them with her baby in large strides, her dark eyes shining coldly, "Is this my father's decision or yours?"
Phoebe laughed sarcastically, "Does it matter?"
Melody stared at Phoebe for a few seconds, "You kick me out today, but one day I will come back! Just wait and see!"
Phoebe rolled her eyes mockingly, "It's good enough if you can survive. River City, I suggest you not come back!"
With that, the car drove away with a cloud of dust, and Sibel approached with the luggage, "Miss, what shall we do?"
Melody looked at the sweetly sleeping baby in her arms, gazed up at the blue sky, and then said to Sibel, "Let's go!"
The plane streaked across the azure sky, leaving a trail of white clouds, disappearing in an instant.
At the exit of River City Airport, a tall and cold man emerged, his steps spirited and steady, with an imposing presence like an emperor's.
He wore a black trench coat, with handsome, chiseled features partially hidden by large sunglasses, followed by four men in sleek suits.
The four men followed cautiously behind him until he stepped into a waiting Rolls-Royce outside, and they respectfully climbed in after him, driving away...
This man was none other than Adrian Davies, who a year ago had hidden in Melody Parker's presidential suite to evade pursuers and acted as her antidote.
He had returned, moving his company back to River City with lightning speed, determined to find the girl from that night!
River City was about to face a storm.
Adrian Davies, a cold and manic man, decisive and ruthless, regarded women as dirt, appearing like a king of the night.
...
Five years later, at River City Airport.
Amidst the bustling arrival area stood a short-haired girl in overalls. Her purplish-red hair glistened slightly in the sunlight, her face beaming with a sunny smile as she waited for her good friend's return.
Soon, a group of passengers emerged from the arrival gate, and the girl hurriedly raised the sign beside her, which read prominently, "Warm Welcome to International Model Melody Parker's Return."
This chic, short-haired girl was none other than Melody Parker's best friend—Serena Sterling.
Serena had barely raised the sign when she spotted a tall girl with flowing hair and a red trench coat coming out of the exit. Melody was pushing a luggage cart, with a quirky small child sitting on it.
"Melody!" Serena waved the big sign at Melody, delightfully raising her voice, "Here! I'm here!"
Melody had a standard height of 170, with delicate features that were petite and charming, a lacy V-neck dress, a crimson trench coat draped on top, her elegant ankles in high heels, exuding an aura of elegance, true to her status as an international model.
She initially wore cobalt blue sunglasses. Upon hearing Serena's call, she paused, ascertained the direction, and quickly walked toward her.
The little one sitting on the luggage cart was dressed in trendy colorful kidswear, with a cool hairstyle and an adorable demeanor.
"Melody, you're finally back." Serena opened her arms to Melody, eyes full of joy at the reunion with her long-lost girlfriend.
Melody removed her sunglasses and gave Serena a warm hug, "Dear, you're looking more radiant these days."
"Really?" Serena hugged Melody tightly and then stepped back to look her over from head to toe, "Are you complimenting me or teasing me? How can I show off my skills in front of a big-model like you?"
"Of course, my Melody is an unbeatable beauty!" The little lad hopped off the luggage cart, nodding to Serena, "Hello, Aunt Serena! I'm Benjamin Parker, but you can also call me by my English name, Louis."
Looking at Benjamin, who had a little grown-up look, Serena squatted down with a smile, teasingly saying, "So you're the famous Benjamin Parker! I've heard from your mommy that a boy named Louis is quite the figure at school, with many little girls following him after school to give him gifts."
Benjamin pursed his thin lips slightly, quickly resuming his proud demeanor, shrugged and helplessly spread his hands, "Can't help it. I'm that excellent. It's troubling."
"Hahaha," Serena burst into laughter, reaching out to ruffle Benjamin's little head, "You little rascal, are you hungry? Let Auntie take you for a bite first."
"We can eat, but Aunt Serena, please don't touch my head casually in the future." Benjamin looked seriously at Serena, who was helping Melody push the luggage.
Serena was taken aback, "Why?"
"A man's head represents dignity; it shouldn't be touched casually," Benjamin said gravely, pointing to his slightly messy hairstyle, "Moreover, it messes up the hair."
Serena was thoroughly amused by Benjamin, turning to Melody, "Melody, your son is such a treasure, I want one too!"
Melody looked at her son with a loving, indulgent look, pushing the luggage with Serena out of the airport.
After taking the mother and son for a meal, Serena took them to a luxury hotel she had pre-booked in River City.
The three of them entered the room, and Serena lounged casually on the sofa, "I'm so full. So, Melody, how long do you plan to stay this time?"
Melody sat down next to her, "I'm not sure. I'm back this time to shoot an ad for the Davies Group. As for how long I'll stay, it depends on my mood."
"Davies Group?" Serena sat up straight in surprise, "You mean the Davies Group that moved from abroad to River City four years ago and became the city's richest group in just a few years?"
"Yes, right? You know about it?" Melody nodded, handing Benjamin a bottle of milk, "Have some milk and then rest. I'll chat with Aunt Serena for a while."
"Hmm." Benjamin took the milk and snuggled into the sofa to drink.
Serena was beyond excited, her eyes gleaming with gossip, "Melody, do you know, the Davies Group you're talking about, their CEO, is a bit off?"
"Really? Is that so? Well, that's nothing to do with me."
