When Yang Sheng arrived at the hospital, Le Tong was reclining at an angle on the bed with her eyes closed, as if asleep. She was holding a remote control, and the TV hanging on the wall was playing Teletubbies. Several colored Teletubbies were babbling and wiggling their chubby bodies.
Yang Sheng shook his head with a smile, truly surprised that Le Tong enjoyed watching children's shows.
"Tongtong..."
When Yang Sheng came in earlier, he had already consulted with the doctor. The doctor said that Le Tong's fever had almost subsided, and she could be discharged. He also instructed Yang Sheng to remind her to take her medicine on time.
"Mm..."
Le Tong groggily opened her eyes and, upon seeing Yang Sheng, mumbled, "Senior, you're here?"
The Le Tong that Yang Sheng was accustomed to seeing was mostly spirited, intelligent, and capable. Yet now, this sleepy, languid version of her left Yang Sheng unable to look away.
