She had thought carefully about what to get everyone. Now, it was only a matter of finding the perfect pieces.
The market square bustled with life. Colorful canopies flapped overhead while the scent of roasted almonds and fresh parchment mingled in the summer air.
Elysia weaved through the crowds, moving stall to stall, her gaze flicking between polished trinkets, luxurious fabrics, and hand-carved oddities.
Vendors called out to her, their voices honeyed and persuasive.
"Only the finest for a lady of grace!"
"You there, miss! Ever seen glass glow in daylight?"
She paused occasionally, letting her fingers glide over wares. Some items made her smile. Others, she quickly dismissed. Every detail mattered. Each gift had to say somethingânot just about the receiver, but about how she saw them.
