Chapter 66 - Chapter 65: Your Name Is...

"Now that I'm here." Sanguinius grabbed the withdrawn boy to put him on his lap.

"It's time to find you a name... Sorry again, Wiz, you've waited a long time," he said sincerely.

"It's fine, you're a very busy man, and the world's safety is more urgent."

Sanguinius felt a bit guilty at his wife's words, but he hadn't had a choice back then.

In the group chat, Ryu was still doing his editing, and Ogre had mentioned total war.

As for Aura and Alicia, there weren't enough interesting elements to go there now.

Only Warhammer 40k contained things worthy of interest at the time.

'Despite my behavior, they heard...'

At that moment, he promised himself to catch up on his conjugal duties during his free time and slow down his personal activities.

After all, there were still at least 7 years left before his reunion with Mittelt.

After that, he'd still have to wait 40 years to find Serie again.

Thus, he concluded that five or ten years of slightly slower evolution were tolerable.

"Wiz is right, but you don't have to avoid urgent things or sacrifice your dreams for us."

Luna cut short the idea of slowing down.

Unconsciously, he sketched a sincere smile of gratitude toward his women and their tolerance.

'No, I mustn't slow down...'

"Another name? But I already like Black ."

At the little boy's words, the conversation stopped.

Their gazes remained fixed on him.

"Black? Not bad, but that's just a pseudonym," Sanguinius explained patiently, but the child refused to change it.

"I like this name and I don't want to lose it."

Wiz felt helpless faced with Black's attachment.

However, the child's father smiled tenderly.

"I see... You really want to keep this name, right?"

The little one nodded.

"Then, I'll just complete it."

The child looked confused, just like Sanguinius's entourage.

"Don't make that face. Wiz kind of named you, and it would be wrong to erase that when I came back."

Wiz looked away from the scene, muttering things like: "Sanguinius, be careful with my feelings..."

After thinking, he found an appropriate name for this child who reeked of death in his arms.

"Your name will be Malak... Malak Black. I think it suits you well, don't you?"

"It seems a bit dark... but I like it, haha."

Unlike Claire, little Malak Black doesn't express much emotion on his face.

'The name must have really pleased him.'

Indeed, the word Malak in Hebrew means angel.

So, the literal translation of his name is Black Angel.

A reference to him and Wiz.

"Pa... can I also have another name too?"

Perhaps jealous of the attention paid to her brother, little Claire tugged on Sanguinius's sleeve.

Her request surprised him a bit, but it was also logical.

Her brother had received something from their missing father, but she had nothing.

Sanguinius glanced toward Luna, who nodded with a tender smile.

She wasn't against it.

She even seemed to appreciate the idea.

"Alright, you won't just be Claire anymore."

The child's eyes began to shine with expectation, while he searched his memory for a name corresponding to this little one.

Finally, he found it.

"You'll be Claire Von Demacia..."

A name that literally means Claire from Demacia.

Demacia, a nation from the League of Legends universe.

Unlike their rival Noxus, they're known for their respect of traditions and values like honor and nobility.

Their only negative trait is their paranoia toward magic, but their moral values compensate for that.

Claire isn't interested in magic as much as Malak.

She's literally a normal little girl, aside from the horns and supernatural powers contained in her body.

'It's not like she's gonna become the founder of a nation named Demacia, hehe...'

"That's not fair, she has three names!"

During Sanguinius's mental absence, the duo started arguing about the names.

Much to their mothers' dismay.

"Daddy just loves me more ~"

At Claire's words, little Malak summoned small lights similar to fireflies around him.

"Anyway, daddy gave me a gift and not you..."

The moment magic was summoned, Wiz's eyes turned toward Sanguinius without any light.

After three months and a few days, the Angel returned home faster, thanks to a chain of beneficial coincidences.

But he didn't get a threesome in bed.

Just an armchair.

Unfortunately, this incident would also have consequences on Claire's opinion concerning magic.

...

"Good morning, Lord Sanguinius."

"My Lord..."

The greetings from the people of Axel flooded him as he walked down the street.

After spending a lonely night on his office couch, Sanguinius left early to explore Axel.

'If they think staying on the couch one night is gonna break me...'

As Damien, he'd spent a good part of his life without a woman, and it was worse in Jaehwan's body.

So one night of abstinence? Ridiculous.

"Still, I would've appreciated a round or two..." he muttered, saying morally questionable things.

Sanguinius then spotted a woman of Western origin, wearing an oversized bracelet and an imposing weapon.

Given her current position, she was about to enter the adventurers' guild.

'God Eater... a bold name for their job.'

The captivating woman possessed a huge weapon in her hands: a God Arc.

A weapon somewhat similar to the Quinque from the Tokyo Ghoul manga in several aspects.

God Arcs are created from creatures called Aragami, which have devastated the Earth visited by the clones.

These creatures devour all biological matter at their disposal on a world, and they're impossible to eliminate definitively.

Why?

They become spores after their death, then reappear later in great quantities.

As if that wasn't enough, their cells are very compact between them.

This prevents conventional weapons from working on them.

That's why the clones judged this world as... obsolete.

'The thing with God Arcs is that they can transform their bearer into Aragami if they abuse them during combat...'

That's why Morbius refused to grant all God Eaters real freedom, with the administrator's support.

A God Eater becoming an Aragami would be... extremely dangerous, so they have chips in their bodies to track their position.

Of course, they're recruited into the army on a mandatory basis.

"It's not good to observe children, Mr. Administrator."

An arm wrapped nonchalantly, and too familiarly, around Sanguinius's shoulder.

He had already felt this man's presence, but he didn't really care about it.

His life, and that of the other God Eaters, is literally in his hands. It's just that he's not a dictator.

Neo-Citadel even has a Senate voted by his clones and led by them. A good democracy, right?

"A child? She seems of age," he said in an amused tone.

Surprisingly, the man nodded.

But he suddenly started laughing.

"Haha, I can understand that."

He removed his cigarette, almost exhausted, to take a new one.

"Unfortunately, she's just 15 years old."

At this information, Sanguinius became slightly pale and displayed an exhausted expression.

'Damn it, I got fooled...'

"Yeah, kids these days grow up fast."

The individual simply shrugged at Sanguinius's misfortune, while placing the new cigarette on his lips.

"A cigarette?" The man used Tinder magic to light his before offering one to Sanguinius.

"No thanks, Mr. Lindow."

"You remember me? I'm flattered."

Despite his words, his face showed total indifference to the news.

A man who doesn't give a damn about authority or hierarchical superiors.

That's the clones' evaluation of the devastated world's best God Eater.

If Sanguinius wants to use him, then two options are available:

Use his loved ones or earn his respect through his actions.

"Not really, but your big sister left me a strong impression"

Author's note: The name of the protagonist's son is up for debate.

Honestly, I'm not good at naming (yes, I admit it lol).

So, I'm going to do a poll.

You have to choose between Sirius Black or the current name Malak Black or Again Balzac Black
