As the car pulled into the driveway, the tall silhouette of Tower C stood high above them.
Seeing it, Lily became quiet. Too quiet. She was speechless. It was not because she had nothing to say, but because she didn't know how to say anything.
Her eyes were practically glued to the window.
The car finally came to a stop under the shaded drop-off area.
Daniel stepped out first and opened the door for them.
Gray got out first, then turned to Lily, holding out a hand for her.
She didn't take it right away. She was still staring at the marble flooring, the soft water sounds from a nearby decorative fountain, and the bellboy near the lobby holding a small golden tablet.
"This is really where we're moving?" she asked again, just to be sure.
Gray smiled. "Yes. Lily. Come on."
Lily finally stepped out of the car.
She didn't say anything at first.
She just stood there beside Gray, holding her bag tightly, as if she was afraid she might wake up any moment.
