Glen took the papers handed to him. That night, after dinner, Earl Reiner, having just wrapped up the mess at his fertilizer warehouse, called for a meeting in his study. The topic? The real reason the Duke and the Emperor had come to Urioil.
"These are trade route logs gathered by Caldabine from the Walendra Imperial Trade Guild," Reiner began. "Several trade groups stop by Urioil before heading off to other continents to sell their goods. But there's one particular guild that comes here regularly, hauling the same stuff to the southeastern region of Aetharion."
Even though everything was laid out clearly in the documents he gave Glen, Reiner still took the time to explain it all, to make sure Glen didn't miss a thing.
