Chapter 21 - Vision.

Robert nodded as he went close to the chair and sat on it as he looked at John Topez.

John analysed Robert's face and said, "Ah, I remember you from the classes... I remember that you were almost stuck in an insidious loop of stray dimensions."

Robert's eyes widened as he said, "Loop?"

John closed his eyes, picked up the cup from his table, and started sipping it. "You don't need to know."

Robert nodded and asked, "Can we get straight to the point?"

John nodded, "Of course."

Robert shifted slightly as he straightened his back and explained, "I have been seeing glimpses of this city being destroyed in a disaster."

John's eyes widened as he set his cup down and clasped both his hands and spoke, "Elaborate."

Robert nodded and explained further, "It seemed like an orchestrated attack by a well-maintained militia group, and it had a crest on it. I don't remember it, but it is one of the big three monopolies in this city."

John raised an eyebrow at the accusation as he got up and walked towards a shelf as he picked up a parchment and then walked towards the table as he placed the parchment on the table in front of Robert as he sat back on his grand chair.

"The Topez family is dedicated to worshipping the God of Sun, Solaris; we often do charity work in the name of the sun god, whereas the Cecils are atheists and have received criticism for it, but nobody could oppose them for long because nobody would want their air cargo services to be suspended, and as for the Tans...they choose to follow the moon goddess Luna."

Robert nodded. "My company always had a hard time while cooperating with the Cecils, and the Tans are our allies because they're the aristocrats, but so are they the allies of Cecil..."

Robert nodded and asked, "So?"

John nods and answers, "Do you know how stupid you sound? But we can't ignore your demands due to anomalies around you."

After a slight pause, John replied, "I want you to gather evidence of an upcoming attack, according to you. Tell me, how much in the future is this event going to take place?"

Robert replied directly, "Two or three months in the future, no confirmed exact date."

John nodded. "Since the attack is going to happen this early, there must have been planning and plotting for this attack to begin. If you gather enough evidence to confirm this attack is going to happen in under one and a half months... I will appeal to the Royal Court and get the Royal Army to meddle before the attack is orchestrated."

Robert nodded as John continued, "You can return anytime, but only return when you have the evidence... Dismissed."

Robert nodded as he followed the butler to the exit; as he got out, he saw a carriage was already arranged for him outside.

"Finding carriages is hard in this area; tell him your directions, and there's no need to pay him." Butler explained.

Robert nodded and bade farewell to the butler and entered the carriage.

...

In the evening, when it was 6 pm on the clock, Robert reached the building of Austich Trading Company and greeted Edward, "I am here to submit my job application."

Edward looked at Robert and nodded, "It's nice to see you come back, Robert."

Edward, who had black hair, nodded as he took Robert down the stairways while holding his lantern as they reached down.
