Chapter 195 - Side Story 2

Despite knowing it's absolutely not true, there are times when Yoon Seo's body feels like a cracked glass sculpture. It's of poorer quality than soft tofu or silken tofu.

A body where potions and healing skills don't work.

What if I get so excited that I can't control my strength?

Normally, Yoon Seo would avoid or defend himself, but right now, he was just as excited.

What if he can't defend himself in time?

"Hurry… Kwon Jihan."

Yoon Seo lifted his waist and reached back with one hand to grasp Kwon Jihan's cock. Kwon Jihan let out a grunt as he pulled his fingers out from inside Yoon Seo.

"Wait, hyung. Let me just get the lube on."

"It's already plenty wet."

"Hold on. My cock is bigger than you think."

"I can see it's big from here."

"Your hole is smaller than I expected. Can't you see this tiny hole here?"

As Yoon Seo clicked his tongue, Kwon Jihan generously applied lube to his erect cock. He felt rushed yet still hesitated.

Is it okay?

Can I control it so that he doesn't get hurt?

At that moment, Yoon Seo overlapped his hand over Kwon Jihan's, grabbing his cock.

"Ugh, hyung…!"

"This isn't exactly a relaxed situation right now."

Yoon Seo used his other hand to spread the flesh of his ass.

Then, looking back in an awkward position, he aimed at Kwon Jihan's massive cock. Kwon Jihan was nearly seeing red from excitement.

Just as Yoon Seo was about to sit down.

Beep beep beep beep beep-.

A loud alarm sounded.

Pee… peep? Peeeeeeeeeep!

That entity had woken up.

***

"Hurry and sit down, myam. This is urgent, myam. We've detected a distress signal, myam!"

Rushing to put on their clothes and head out, they saw Myam frantically operating the control panel. Kwon Jihan and Yoon Seo quickly sat on either side of Myam and grabbed the controls.

"A distress signal? From where?"

"It's in the 39-19 region of the Aidell Galaxy, myam."

"That's close. I've set the coordinates."

While Myam held onto the signal to avoid losing it, Kwon Jihan entered the destination into the system. Simultaneously, Yoon Seo restarted the engine.

"We've got 8 minutes."

Hearing that it would take 8 minutes to restart, Myam panicked.

"8 minutes! What do we do in 8 minutes, myam? First, turn on the medical system, contact the Space Emergency Rescue Agency—oh wait, we should witness the scene first, myam. Ah, you both need to put on spacesuits. I'm a machine, so I'll be fine, but you two are humans, if you go out into space, you'll die instantly, myam!"

"We can hold out with ."

"I have , so I'll be fine. But Myam, you're way too worked up. Please calm down with some warm oil."

Yoon Seo and Kwon Jihan soothed the excited humanoid and fed it some oil.

Peeeeep.

Riceball also rubbed its blue feathers against Myam's cold mechanical body, helping it calm down. Thanks to that, Myam quickly regained its breath.

"Why were you so worked up? Is detecting a distress signal during space travel rare?"

"It's not a common occurrence, myam. It's the first time I've detected a distress signal without Yam and Nyam, myam."

"But we're here instead."

"Thank you so much, myam…. I wouldn't have completed this mission without the two of you. How can I ever repay you, myam?"

Last year, Yoon Seo and Kwon Jihan had finished their space journey with Yam, Nyam, and Myam and returned to Earth. Some events from their time in space remained secret, while others were shared widely as they continued to operate on Earth for a while.

Then, Myam came back.

'I need someone with Gaia Skills, myam!'

YamNyamMyam roams the universe, warning developing planets of an impending great catastrophe. This mission requires astronomical funds, which are covered by completing various tasks certified by the universe's central organization, 'Cosmos.'

The majority of Myam's tasks involve dungeon raids and flood zone damage recovery, with most of the requests posted on bulletin boards falling into these categories.

Yam and Nyam had each gone to different planets to complete dungeon raid tasks. Myam, too, was about to accept a routine task when it made a discovery.

Gaia Skill Holders' Conference

500,000 P.C. reward for all attendees

Just attending the conference guarantees a reward of 500,000 P.C.! P.C. is the currency created on the P.C. planet, which has reached Gaia System Level 412, the highest stage across all planets. It's the most valuable currency in the universe, essentially functioning as the universe's common currency.

Myam, feeling close to Yoon Seo and Kwon Jihan, whom it considered friends among the Gaia Skill holders, rushed to them and asked for help with a mission.

The two readily agreed and boarded Myam's spaceship again to attend the conference.

The conference's topic was the frequency of Gaia Skill usage, but it was more of a casual social gathering. Yoon Seo and Kwon Jihan were the only newcomers among those who had been awakened for over 100 years. Of course, neither of them was one to feel intimidated, and Kwon Jihan, in particular, dominated the atmosphere with his formidable charm. After successfully completing the mission, they were now on their way back to Earth.

"Now explain. What exactly is the distress call? A planet? A moon? Or a spaceship?"

"It's a spaceship, myam. Whether it's a cruise ship, a commercial ship, or a refugee ship, I don't know, myam. There are countless ships drifting in space, myam. But given the poor signal transmission, it could be an Ark, myam."

"An Ark?"

"It refers to a spaceship that abandoned the conquest of a black dungeon and left its planet to drift in space, myam."

On a planet, during an S-grade Red-Black Dungeon conquest, they encountered a black dungeon.

Someone sacrificed themselves, giving them a chance to attempt the conquest again in 10 years, but a prophecy revealed that the black dungeon would reappear. Rather than preparing for the dungeon, the planet's inhabitants chose to abandon the conquest altogether. They built space vessels and embarked on a journey to flee.

These spaceships, leaving behind their home in search of safety, are typically called Arks.

"So that means, in their case, they abandoned their planet. That's an extreme choice."

"If they have the technology to build spaceships, couldn't they have conquered the dungeon?"

"If a civilization has technology capable of reaching space, it's better to focus on space travel rather than weapon development, myam. Every planet that has conquered a black dungeon did so using Gaia System skills and items, myam. Before Earth, there wasn't a single planet that conquered a black dungeon using only its native weapons, myam. I keep saying this, but Earth, which developed antimatter, is really terrifying, myam."

Since the beginning of the Great Space Opera Era, Kwon Jihan and Yoon Seo had met many alien species and wandered through alien planets, but none had developed an antimatter bomb.

Even when they encountered races with a concept of antimatter, asking if they had the technology to create such a weapon was often met with disbelief at its existence.

Earth, which had just entered Level 3 in the Gaia System, was still a rookie planet by cosmic standards. Yet, just the fact that it had antimatter technology made it a focus of attention even for 'Cosmos,' the central power in the universe.

"Anyway, if we're really going to meet people on the Ark, it means they've just lost their home. I can't even begin to imagine how devastated they must be. Offering comfort would be difficult."

"That's right, myam. It's truly heartbreaking, myam. This is why we keep going around warning of the Great Cataclysm, myam. I just hope that when people hear the warning, they take it seriously and prepare thoroughly, myam."

"But even with preparation, there are limits…."

Kwon Jihan sighed.

He looked as if he had just lost Earth and was now boarding an Ark himself. Though he appeared rough around the edges and quick to anger, deep down, he was a man who empathized deeply with the weak and those who suffered.

Peeep…?

Riceball, seeing Kwon Jihan like this, fluttered over and perched on his shoulder.

Peep, peeeep.

The small bird nuzzled against his neck, and Kwon Jihan's lips curled into a slight smile.

"Are you comforting me? Our little Riceball is so kind."

Peep. Peep.

"Yeah, yeah. Thanks. Hyung, look at this. Riceball is comforting me."

"Congratulations."

"It's practically like my Ego Sword. Oh wait, that's right. Riceball *is* an Ego Sword, one that connects with its owner mentally."

Kwon Jihan clapped exaggeratedly and then smiled at Yoon Seo.

"Hyung, you wanted to comfort my troubled heart, didn't you? That's why you sent Riceball to console me."

"No, I didn't."

"I wish I had the too."

"Riceball, come here. Kwon Jihan doesn't deserve to feel your soft feathers."

Peep!

When Yoon Seo extended his hand, Riceball hesitated for a moment, looking between the two, then flew straight to Yoon Seo. With a smug expression, Yoon Seo gently stroked and patted the small bird in his hand.

Seeing this, Kwon Jihan's mood quickly improved.

***

Eight minutes passed quickly, and the spaceship's engine restarted. The coordinate jump system activated, and it took less than 10 seconds to reach their destination.

"Is that the spaceship?"

"It's quite rough-looking, myam. The chances of it being an Ark have increased, myam."

The ship that appeared through the front window was disc-shaped, and it was even smaller than Myam's small spaceship. There was no movement, possibly because its engine had shut down, but a flashing red light, clearly a distress signal, blinked rapidly.

"It's smaller than I thought."

"They probably didn't build just one Ark, myam. Usually, they make two or three large Arks and dozens of smaller ones to travel together, myam."

"Doesn't look like they're traveling together. I don't see any other Arks around. Could be a stray Ark. Let's head out."

"I'll try to establish communication and attempt docking, myam."

Communication was established, but no conversation took place. The other ship's communication device seemed to be malfunctioning, producing only static. Fortunately, they seemed to understand their intentions, as docking proceeded smoothly.

When they entered the other spaceship, they quickly realized why the Ark was so small.

"Squeak!"

"Bleep bleep!"

"Chirp chirp!"

Tiny aliens, no bigger than a finger, swarmed out, raising their arms and chattering away.

Their appearance could be summarized as small slugs with short limbs that walked on two legs.
