"I prefer not to hide, I am not a hero, I never wanted to be one, I hate humanity, I always have, but despite all this, there is nothing that requires me to hate other races. So if I can even slightly help those people take a step forward, if I can help them feel the desire to live again, then that means I am alive."
When Atlas finished speaking, Iso couldn't help but swallow hard. He had finally understood why the young man in front of him had stolen Cordelia's heart, why all the Sages loved him so much that they worshipped him.
Still, Iso had one more question…
"But… Sir, what if you fail?" Iso asked with curious eyes.
Atlas struggled not to laugh when he heard the question, but eventually burst into laughter:
"Puhaha!! Come on, Iso! Isn't the answer obvious? At least I'll have tried!" Atlas said, laughing.
Iso couldn't take it anymore and, after letting out a few giggles, bowed before Atlas and returned to his room.
All that was left now was to wait.
