Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: Reporting to Lady Furina—Episode 6

"Ye, this is the sixth episode of Reporting to Lady Furina. Here you go."

???

At this moment, Ye's head was undoubtedly filled with question marks.

After all, even he didn't expect that the first thing Furina would say upon meeting him was this.

After learning about the situation from Clorinde and thinking for a while about how to cheer up dear Lady Furina, Ye went to the Palais Mermonia. He was told that Lady Furina was currently in Neuvillette's office.

As soon as he entered the office, he saw Furina and Neuvillette sitting face-to-face, with a camera set up nearby, seemingly filming.

No, they had already finished filming.

Because Furina pointed at the camera and said the above words to Ye.

What does this mean?

It means Furina has learned to preempt him.

Ye hadn't even brought out the script for the sixth episode, yet she had already filmed it herself. This time, she excluded Ye entirely, with Neuvillette taking his place. Has Ye fallen out of favor?

No, whether he's fallen out of favor or not is beside the point. The real question is, what exactly did she film?

A sense of foreboding rose in Ye's heart. Could it be that Furina is fully prepared to take revenge on me this time?

I've only been gone for a few days, and you're already rebelling!

Calm down, it's fine.

The final decision rests with me. If I don't want to release it, can Furina really bypass me and release the PV?

Thinking this, Ye maintained his composure and calmly walked over to the camera to see what kind of mischief Furina had cooked up this time.

Furina smiled serenely, looking completely at ease, with none of the listlessness Clorinde had described.

Clearly, she had found a new way to relieve stress.

Could it be that she's trying to get back at me?

With this uneasy thought in mind, Ye maintained a calm expression and clicked play.

The video began with Furina and Neuvillette sitting across from each other.

Just like in previous PVs, where Furina and Ye sat across from each other.

It seemed a bit off, but upon reflection, it also seemed perfectly normal.

After all, the show is called Reporting to Lady Furina. The focus is on Furina. As for who is reporting to her, it doesn't matter—it doesn't affect the show's theme.

"Lady Furina, there's something I'd like to report to you about Ye."

Neuvillette, oh Neuvillette! How could you go along with Furina's antics? Is this in character for you? This isn't the naive dragon I know! Tell me, have you been body-snatched?!

Watching Neuvillette act so seriously on screen, Ye felt heartbroken.

Since when did this outsider dragon learn to act?

"What about Ye?"

Furina asked nonchalantly.

Neuvillette looked serious. "Ye snatched a criminal designated by the Raiden Shogun right under her nose, openly defied the Vision Hunt Decree, and interfered in another nation's politics. Now the Raiden Shogun has sent a formal complaint to Fontaine, demanding an explanation."

Uh, this doesn't seem like acting…

Ye felt a bit guilty because this was true!

He really did cause trouble for Fontaine. Who would have thought the mighty Raiden Shogun would tattle? How disappointing!

If you have a problem with what I did, come at me directly. Why involve my superior? What, do you think she'd hand me over for something so trivial? How naive. You clearly don't understand Lady Furina's nurturing heart.

"Lady Furina, what explanation should we give? Should we tie Ye up and send him to the Raiden Shogun?"

Furina couldn't help but laugh. "Neuvillette, you've learned to joke."

Exactly, this outsider dragon is becoming more and more outrageous. Even though this was surely Furina's script, the fact that you could deliver such lines is heartbreaking! What happened to the naive dragon I once knew?

Furina smiled and said, "Just tying him up won't do. With Ye's power, he could escape at any moment. Think harder—how can we make sure Ye can't escape?"

Ye: "…" I've misjudged you, Lady Furina. Just wait, I'm switching sides.

Neuvillette raised his hand to his chin, deep in thought. After a few seconds, he said, "I'll create a water sphere to imprison Ye, then have Wriothesley freeze it, encasing Ye completely in ice. That should safely deliver him to the Raiden Shogun."

Furina nodded approvingly. "And you'll personally escort him, just in case."

"What about Ye's work?"

"Save it for him. When he escapes the Raiden Shogun's blade, he can deal with the backlog."

"Isn't that a bit harsh?"

"Then would you like to do it for him?"

"I'll save it for him."

...Is this PV just to roast me?

Ye felt a bit numb. This so-called sixth episode had no entertainment value at all. It was just the two of them teaming up to mock him, and they seemed to be having a great time. Is self-indulgence really that fun? Do you really think this is entertaining?

Maybe I should make a couple of episodes just to roast you two and see how fun that is.

—Neuvillette seemed to finally realize it wasn't fun either.

He continued, "Speaking of which, there's something I've always been curious about. How did you meet Ye, and how did you convince him to stay in Fontaine as the Supreme Bishop? I came because I received a letter from you and became the Chief Justice. But what about Ye? As a Descender, he seems to have even less reason to stay in Fontaine and become the Supreme Bishop, right?"

Oh? Are we finally getting to the main point?

Ye perked up a bit. Even though this was a PV with Furina's script, if it was feasible, Ye might still upload it.

Using himself as the topic, it made sense that he wasn't in the episode—but the episode couldn't just be about roasting him. It needed to have enough substantial content!

After all, the Reporting to Lady Furina series of PVs primarily attracted viewers with the massive amount of information in each episode and the little Easter eggs at the end. An episode that only roasts someone without providing information is subpar.

But clearly, Furina didn't make that mistake.

Even though she didn't know why Ye was filming these, she had indeed grasped the core of the show.

Therefore, Neuvillette's question marked the true beginning of the episode.

Using Ye as the topic meant revealing some information about him, and Furina chose to start with her first meeting with Ye.

"That's a long story," Furina said meaningfully. "So let's keep it short."

As she said this, while filming this segment, Furina couldn't help but recall the events that had transpired between her and Ye.

It all began one day, after Furina had endured a stressful day and finally managed to relax in her room with a bath. Suddenly, a man appeared above her, falling with a splash and pinning her down.

—That was the beginning of all their tangled fates.
