Chapter 166 - Chapter 166: My Brother's Words

"Raikage-sama, please watch your tone!"

A high-ranking official of the Land of Lightning stood up abruptly, his voice sharp with anger. He pointed accusingly at the Raikage, visibly agitated. "You just threw a document in front of the Daimyō! That was clearly an act of disrespect!"

Raikage A looked at the senior official without a word—no movement, no expression, just a cold, direct stare.

The official who had stood up so righteously moments ago now faltered under the weight of the Raikage's silent gaze. After all, being stared down by a Kage-level shinobi was no small matter. The sheer pressure was suffocating.

Sensing that the atmosphere had turned tense, the Daimyō rose calmly from his seat, picked up the document, and uncapped his pen.

"Lord Daimyō, you—?" The same high-ranking official looked at the Daimyō, stunned and dismayed.

The Daimyō glanced at Raikage A, his expression unreadable. "Lord Raikage, I do not doubt the loyalty of the Land of Lightning. It is true that I lacked foresight. Since the Five Kage have all agreed to this course of action, I have no choice but to sign."

With that, he calmly signed his name.

Killer Bee, who had been standing nearby with his arms folded, quietly withdrew the Eight-Tails' chakra that had been subtly flaring up in his body.

After signing, the Daimyō placed the document back in front of the Raikage. "Raikage A, the future of the Land of Lightning is in your hands now."

With those words, he turned and exited the chamber, followed closely by the other officials.

"Lord Daimyō, are we just going to submit like this?" the same senior official asked, unable to hide the bitterness in his voice.

The Daimyō sighed as he walked. "The structure of the shinobi world is shifting dramatically. Recently, I received communications from the Daimyō of the Land of Water, the Land of Fire, and the Land of Wind…"

"A letter about forming a unified shinobi army!"

"Eh?! This—!"

The revelation left the officials stunned. They exchanged wary glances, struggling to process what they had just heard.

It wasn't that they didn't understand—it was just that the world was changing too quickly. In the past, the great powers had always emphasized expanding their military forces and guarding against each other. But now, the very same nations were taking the initiative to unite?

Could it be that the threat of the Akatsuki had truly shaken the leadership of the Five Great Nations?

As high-ranking civil officials, their duty was to safeguard the interests of their noble class and protect the authority of the Daimyō. But now that the Daimyō had agreed to the formation of this shinobi alliance, they had no basis to oppose it.

Especially considering that during the meeting just now, the Raikage's younger brother—the Jinchūriki of the Eight-Tails—had nearly gone berserk. Had the situation escalated further, it could have ended in disaster.

Back in the meeting room, Raikage A picked up the signed document and handed it to Dodai.

"Take this to Mabui. Tell her to prepare for the mobilization of our forces for the Allied Shinobi Army's expedition."

Dodai accepted the document with a nod, but then hesitated. "Raikage-sama… what about the reconstruction of Kumogakure?"

Raikage A paused for a moment before replying, "We'll mobilize the villagers. Leave a portion of our ninja here to help with rebuilding. Also, we need to coordinate with the other villages immediately. The protection of each nation's Daimyō is an equally critical matter."

Dodai bowed slightly. "Understood."

"Good. You're dismissed."

After Dodai left, Raikage turned to Killer Bee and said, "Come, walk with me."

Outside the village, atop one of the surviving defensive walls, Raikage A gazed out over the ruined remnants of Kumogakure. The village, once fortified and proud, now lay in tatters.

"Kumogakure… My father, the Third Raikage, spent his life strengthening this village. And under my leadership—me, the Fourth Raikage—it ends up like this. What a joke."

Killer Bee stepped beside him, his tone soft. "This isn't your fault. All of this happened because of those bastards from Akatsuki."

Raikage A turned his sharp eyes to Bee. "Bee, tell me the truth. When you left with Naruto without hesitation… did Naruto show you something? Did he tell you anything?"

Killer Bee fell silent for a moment. Then, he looked at his older brother seriously. "Brother… you might not believe it, but Naruto showed me the future."

"The… future?" Raikage A raised an eyebrow in disbelief, then scoffed. "That's impossible. No one can see the future. He's not the Sage of Six Paths."

"Technically," Killer Bee scratched the back of his head, "Naruto has met the Sage of Six Paths. And so have I."

Raikage A froze. "Stop joking around, Bee. Are you seriously saying you met Sage "

Killer Bee nodded. "Yeah. In the future Naruto showed me, I saw them speaking. At first, I couldn't see anything… but since Gyūki—Eight-Tails—is inside me, and he once existed in the same time-space as the Sage, I was able to see it too. It wasn't Genjutsu, Brother. Gyūki confirmed it—it was a fragment of time and space."

Raikage's expression darkened. "So you're saying Naruto has seen the future, and everything he's been doing so far… it's all part of that plan?"

"Exactly," Killer Bee said gravely. "The war that's about to happen—it's only one chapter in a longer story. Naruto isn't worried about this war… he's worried about what comes after."

Raikage narrowed his eyes. "After? What do you mean?"

Killer Bee's tone became deadly serious. "After this war, years later… a race related to the Sage of Six Paths—aliens—will invade our world. That war is what Naruto fears most."

Raikage's eyes widened, stunned. "Aliens? Are you f*****g kidding me? What kind of ridiculous nonsense is this? This sounds more outrageous than Guy opening the Eighth Gate!"

"I thought the same," Bee admitted. "Even I thought it was some crazy Rinnegan-based Genjutsu. But Gyūki swore it wasn't. He said it felt like a genuine space-time vision… and that the presence of the Sage of Six Paths was real beyond doubt. He would never lie to me, Brother. Our minds are linked."

Raikage A clenched his fists, overwhelmed by the weight of the information. The Eye of the Moon Plan that Tobi had proposed at the Five Kage Summit had already shaken his understanding of the world. But this? An alien war?

It was too much.

And yet… it came from his own brother, someone who had always spoken the truth.

Furthermore, the escalating tensions in the shinobi world and the need for a unified army—perhaps it did mean that something far greater was looming on the horizon.

Raikage A took a deep breath, his thoughts heavy. "Our generation… we carry too many burdens."

After a long silence, he placed a hand on Killer Bee's shoulder. "I'll choose to believe you—for now. But listen carefully. From this point on, you stay close to Naruto. Protect him. Even I don't have the power to ensure your safety anymore."

He paused, voice softer now.

"And no matter what happens to me… promise me one thing—protect the village."

Killer Bee's eyes welled with emotion. He opened his mouth, wanting to say: Brother, the reason I followed Naruto so decisively… was because I didn't want to watch you or the village be destroyed in front of me.

But in the end, he swallowed those words.

And simply nodded.
