"Well he said that Suho was the main character so he made him perfect in his eyes." what Yeonha said was true, since Hajin was said to be their author, he created them and their personalities. Naturally, the author makes the main character perfect from his point of view. Suho's face reddened even more.
"You can think of it as favouritism." suggested Rachel to Nayun, she might be a little jealous too but what was done was done. Why bother turning around the pot?
"He's more like his bias than his favorite character.." mumbled Nayun still grumpy. "Hey the v- Emil! Who's Evandel?"

"We mean, is it in this world or in his past?" tried to explain Yeonha.

At the response, everyone became silent and tried to understand how Hajin had a girl. He was 17?! Physically at least but still!

They decided to follow the voice's instructions and paid more attention to the screen.
Eight students were gathered in a big room on the highest floor of dorm 1. They were all sitting in an arrogant delinquent-like manner, laughing loudly at even the smallest things. Occasionally, they stole stealthy glances at the one who called them over. But the person in question remained silent as though he couldn't care less.
"Oh right, Jonghak, isn't there a gun user in your class?"
"Here we go again."
One man asked him. He was a generic good-looking guy with an amiable smile. Shin Jonghak opened his eyes narrowly and stared back at him.
"HAHA! What nonsense is this guy spitting!" Nayun laughed loudly at this man's question. They definitly didn't see Hajin but tried to joke about him.
"... Um, I just heard it from somewhere. Did I hear wrong?"

"Isn't it a little bit too harsh to judge him like that?" Rachel turned to Jonghak and he ignored the question, he paid more attention to the screen still thinking that he didn't do anything wrong and was right.

The foul language came from Kim Horak. Bulky muscles, an intimidating expression, and a large physique. Even with just one glance, it was easy to see that he specialized in close ranged combat.
Jin Hanjun asked Kim Horak, "You know him?"

Active-duty Heroes were all enlightened. But because numerous experiences and training were required to reach enlightenment, most cadets had yet to experience enlightenment. Of course, there were exceptions like Kim Suho or Shin Jonghak. They were enlightened at the age of 15 and 17, respectively.
"He really made Suho like a genius hero." scoffed Nayun, she was jealous of him and didn't know why, his stats were only an excuse to make it look unfair. (you sure you don't know why?(Ծ_Ծ Because I think I have an idea. （￢з￢）)
An enlightened person could see their Gift, skills, and abilities objectively, and thus train more efficiently. Furthermore, enlightenment allowed one to acquire 'clear rewards' from Towers and Dungeons.
The Hero Association called this phenomenon the 'status window.' It was an established fact that a status window could only be seen by its owner.
But because I liked exceptions, I also put in exceptions to this setting.
"Why are you like that with us!" whined Nayun
"He appears more unfair than what he shows" said Yeonha. She could relate to Nayun, it was unequal from their perspective and of course Suho was a part of these exceptions. (I'm sorry Suho for all this hate ╥﹏╥ )

"HE CAN CREATE HIS OWN GIFT AND MODIFY HIS STATS AND ALL!?" This world was cruel, how does he have the right to do all this when they were given all these when they were born. He can choose the gift he wants, that's something someone never had before and was extremely one-sided. This world had to be on his side. (well duh? He's the author, kinda normal?)
The first words to catch my attention were "synchronization" and "reset".
I didn't know what that meant, but I knew it was what changed my name from Kim Chundong to Kim Hajin and gave me my face back. My stats also seemed to have been adjusted appropriately.

The problem was that I didn't know when the main story would end. If it referred to the storyline before I went on hiatus, I would have to wait 10 years at the very least...
"Wow we were supposed to fight a whole 10 years?" surprise aroused from our group of teenagers.
One thought led to another.
First, I had to find a way to go back home. To achieve that, I needed power or authority. To achieve power or authority, I needed something called 'SP'. To obtain SP, I needed to get involved in the storyline. To do that, I needed to get stronger or stand out.

While the importance of the stamina stat was less for a bow, the other stats were still necessary. On the other hand, speed, perception, and a tiny bit of magic power were enough to use a gun.
In other words, it was easier to meet the 'minimum strength' requirement with a gun.
The second was specialness.
No Hero in this world used a gun. That was more than enough to make me special.
So it seemed I should continue using the gun. At least, until my stats increased and I was mentally ready to fight monsters at close range.

After seeing what was written on the board, she quickly switched side. She's still between the two and will only definitly choose her side when she feels like it.
At this thought, Nayun was red from embarrassement and told Yeonha to back off with red cheeks. At the sight of this scene, Jonghak frowned and continued to look at the screen.
A Gift held a special meaning for Heroes, but it still held on to its dictionary meaning.
The natural ability or talent for something.
But the standard for this ability was high. At the very least, a Gift had to be like a psychic ability.
Gifts were separated into many categories. The five most common were 'weapon', 'physical', 'element', 'magic', and 'nature.'
As for the main character, he worthily had two Gifts. The Gift he currently awakened was the weapon class Gift, 'Sword Saint'.
