Chapter 180 - Chapter 180

[One Piece: Heroic Spirits Straw Hat Pirates!]

[Dragon Ball: West City High Schooler, Captures 18!]

Creating a Legendary Pokémon was no small matter—Unown-E knew that all too well from experience. So, when its unruly companions demanded they make an Entei, it immediately refused.

But these Unown had clearly been stuck in the space-time rift too long; they didn't care one bit about the risks. To Unown-E, they were behaving like reckless children.

"Unown!"

(Which ruin are you lot from, to be this bold?!)

The Unown from various ruins looked at each other and blinked innocently.

Who cares about that? Come on, help us make Entei! Responding to human wishes—that's what we Unown were made for, isn't it?

Unown-E panicked as more and more Unown surged around it, engulfing it in the center. And then, they all noticed—something about E's power was… different. Older. Stronger?

Even better! The Unown collective needs a "talent" like this!

"Unown!!"

Just as the Pokédex described: a single Unown does nothing. But when gathered in large numbers, they cause mysterious phenomena. Though, to be fair, that entry hadn't been updated in a while—the professor who researched Unown had recently gotten sucked into a space-time rift and hadn't come back yet.

"Daddy… please come back…" the little girl's voice was trembling, her expression clouded by sorrow. She clutched her fairytale picture book tightly, her heart now pulsing with powerful emotions.

This emotional surge caused the Unown's power to spike drastically.

They formed a circle and forced Unown-E to join. The resonance of their collective energy overwhelmed it. Amid a brilliant teal-blue radiance, a massive four-legged Pokémon, lion-like in form, began to take shape.

The process was completely out of control. Unown-E could only recall its previous experience creating Walking Wake.

The key… was the Plates—specifically, the Draco Plate.

Back then, its power had resonated with a dragon-type plate. After all, it was a Unown from the Ruins of Alph, different from the others!

In desperation, it spotted the floating Symbolic Slabs in the sky!

Awakened Power!

White light swirled around Unown-E as it forcibly shifted its type to Dragon. It fired a Dragon-type Hidden Power, smashing several slabs and sending them into a time-space rift.

But in doing so, Unown-E lost all control of its body and energy.

Ugh… I hope the others back in Johto get this SOS! Please, someone come save me!

And among the wide-eyed Unown, E tightly shut its eye.

I've done everything I could. I'm out. Do whatever you want.

"You called me forth… was it you?"

As the teal-blue glow faded, the newly formed "Entei" tried to deliver its dramatic entrance line to the little girl—

But a sharp pain suddenly jolted through its head.

A strange roar echoed deep within its spirit. It wasn't just ancient—it felt like it had always existed. And it brimmed with confusion and rage.

The girl looked up at her new creation and asked if it was Entei.

Well… of course it was!

"I am Entei."

The very same one worshipped and passed down in legends—real or not.

"ROAR!"

The strange voice in its mind grew louder—and this time, it was furious.

"Ugh…" Entei grimaced, writhing in pain as the girl asked again:

"You came back as Entei, didn't you? You're my papa, right?"

Yes… it was created to be this girl's "father."

Wait, no—that wasn't right. It had always existed. It had just been summoned… from a much older time…

Its thoughts tangled like vines. Entei shook its head violently, sealing away the confusion.

Johto Region – Traveler's Workshop

After a full day of hard work in the Distortion World, Hikaru made his way to the final Iceberg Ruins, as planned.

Coincidentally, one of his upcoming clients had just informed him of her arrival time—the long-anticipated day had come.

"Cynthia is on her way."

After Steven's visit, now came Cynthia. This aligned perfectly with the game's hidden lore: after discovering traces of Arceus, Cynthia would naturally be drawn to Johto's ruins. After all, her lineage shared a mysterious bond with the god Pokémon.

After receiving Cynthia, Hikaru planned to temporarily leave Johto.

From the workshop, he followed a special "pathway" through the forest. Before long, he arrived at a secret area where several ruins and valleys converged—linked together by mysterious terrain crafting, as if stitched by magic.

The Iron Ruins sat beside the Rocky Ruins, not far from the Valley of Light where Hetsuki resided. West of the ruins lay a fertile fruit forest, and beyond that, Johto's cemetery and garden. These landmarks circled around a hidden area, leaving an open field in the center.

In just a few days, that empty field now housed a rough stone sculpture, covered in luminous moss. Several Wooper waddled around, their goofy grins plastered on their faces as they sprayed water from their mouths like mini fountains.

Even a grumpy Croagunk that used to lurk by the forest road had now taken residence here, croaking lazily in place.

This place had become a lively Pokémon gathering ground. When they saw a human approach, the shyer Pokémon darted into the ruins or hid behind flowers. But those who recognized Hikaru and Steven gave cheerful greetings.

"Feels like a makeshift Pokémon town now."

Inside the Rocky Ruins, the place had changed noticeably. Several new iron-crafted furnishings had been added—clearly, Regirock had recruited Registeel as a partner and was working nonstop to expand its little general store.

"Ma~nu!"

"Doree~!"

Among the Pokémon present were Voltorb and the Lilligant, both of whom cheerfully greeted Hikaru.

"Yōnon~!"

In the middle of shopping was none other than a towering Dusknoir, the "bureaucrat" of the spirit world. Its big eye lit up upon seeing Hikaru and it glided over like an old friend.

Hey buddy! Those talismans you sold me last time were amazing—my coworkers are jealous of my efficiency now!

It handed Hikaru a bulging cloth pouch made of spiritual fabric, filled with materials from the spirit world.

Come on, take it! Don't be shy—it's all over the place in my world anyway!

Truthfully, it had come to exchange for some worldly gemstones. It was a fair trade—spirit-world crystals for earthly ones.

"Thanks, I was actually looking for you. These spirit materials are just what I needed. Here—this is for you."

Hikaru pulled out a stone.

"Yōnon?"

Dusknoir studied the cool, eerie rock, its single eye suddenly flashing red with excitement!

"This is a rock from the Return Cave—a place where the worlds of the living and the dead intersect."

Hikaru handed the remaining Return Stones to Regirock, saying they were gifts from Giratina as a gesture of thanks.

"Yōnon~!!"

Dusknoir was thrilled. It danced around, declaring it wanted to buy up all the Return Stones. These were rare treasures even in the spirit world! The Return Cave was a realm governed by the master of antimatter, after all!

While Dusknoir and Regirock eagerly discussed how to divvy up the stones, Hikaru's attention shifted elsewhere.

Because from the moment he entered… he had noticed that guy.

Tucked in the corner of the Rocky Ruins, sorting supplies, stood an icy-blue pillar.

Wait… wasn't that Regice?

"I thought I had to go to the Iceberg Temple to unlock its door… Why did Regice come here by itself?"

"Beep beep beep—"

Regice's runic face flashed rapidly when it spotted Hikaru and gave him a very friendly greeting!

Then, it dumped a whole pile of mushrooms and ice blocks at Hikaru's feet!

Dear customer, what would you like to buy today? We also offer chilled berry juice and nutritional drinks!

"…Wait, you're… a service-type Pokémon?!"

Looking at the enthusiastic Regice, Hikaru couldn't help but reconsider everything he thought he knew about the Ice Titan.

In the anime, Regice had always been aloof and emotionless. Compared to it, Regirock and Registeel had far more "personality." This cold, tsundere attitude was typical of Ice-types—distant, prideful, or stoic.

But Johto's Regice? It felt more like a Fire-type—cheerful and upbeat!

"Swordsman Mushrooms, Ironwall Fungi, Critical Truffles, Sweet Truffles, Smoky Yam…"

"Ice Stone, Ice Stone, and more Ice Stones! Oh, a Never-Melt Ice too?"

"…And Ancient Soil, Peat Soil!"
