Chapter 20 - Ch-20

Bang--!

"How can this be possible!"

Snape slammed his palm on the table, making a loud noise. "He beat up his classmates on the first day. What does he want to do?"

"Professor, this Riddle is too lawless!"

Rosier threw dirty water, "He thinks the wizarding world is their Muggle school. He doesn't know any rules and doesn't take you seriously at all."

A cold gaze swept over him, and Rozier was silent as a cicada, and immediately shut his mouth.

Snape's voice was cold. "Rosier, whether he takes me seriously or not is not for you to judge. It is for me to judge."

"I know about your affairs. I will handle them. You can leave now."

"Yes, Professor."

After getting the answer, the three of them left the office happily, as if they had already seen Tom being punished by Snape and even expelled from school.

And after they left, Snape's expression did not improve.

He had seen arrogant students before, but this was the first time he had seen one that started to be arrogant so early.

When Voldemort entered school, he was not like Tom. On the first night, he beat up three roommates and gave them a beating with a whip.

He didn't take Dumbledore's three reminders seriously yesterday, but who could have thought that the boomerang would come so quickly.

This is no longer an ordinary problem student, we must take strong measures!

His eyes flickered for a moment, and Snape decided to handle it himself to avoid the old man having to play the good guy again.

Today he was going to teach Tom a lesson and let him know whose territory Slytherin was.

.....

There are more than 140 staircases in Hogwarts, most of which are movable. Perhaps you can run between the second and third floors today and reach the top floor in a short while.

The good news is that the operation of these stairs is not random. Some change their position at fixed times, some move according to the strength of pedestrians' walking, or change their position by stomping their feet three times in a row.

Sometimes you can take a shortcut and go directly from the first floor to the floor you want to go to, which saves time and effort and is very convenient.

The bad news is that as newbies, Tom and Daphne have no idea about these hidden messages and can only try them one by one.

In order not to be late for the first class, the two of them came out early.

Because Tom kicked the stairs, a staircase from the third floor to the fourth floor took them directly to the top floor. They had to walk down again with a grunt, taking every step very gently for fear of angering the stair master.

After all the trouble, the two arrived at the classroom and it was almost time for class to start.

When the day comes when he has studied this castle thoroughly, he will definitely change the rules to make them even more disgusting. He won't be the only one to suffer like this.

Tom thought so and walked into the classroom with Daphne.

There is a tabby cat on the desk. The patterns around its eyes are darker than other places. The cat sits on the desk, quietly watching the students chatting.

Tom just glanced at her, without any intention of saying hello or revealing her identity, and walked into the classroom.

"Riddle, here!"

Hermione, noticing Tom's arrival, raised her hand and pointed to the empty seat next to her.

Tom walked over, and Daphne pouted, but followed reluctantly.

After they were seated, Hermione couldn't wait to ask, "How do you feel about Slytherin?"

"It's OK. The students are very enthusiastic."

"Well, is that so? But doesn't the book say that they are more hostile to young wizards from half-blood and Muggle families?"

"Really? Anyway, I didn't feel that. My roommates are all very friendly."

"Okay." Hermione stopped struggling and patted the textbook in a boastful manner: "I finished reading this book for the third time last night. How about you?"

Daphne couldn't help herself: "If magic can be learned by reading books, then would there still be so many Muggles in the world?"

Hermione sensed Daphne's hostility and raised her eyebrows to fight back, "Since I have a talent for magic, I can naturally learn knowledge from reading books. Can you purebloods learn magic just by lying down?"

"At least we are not as greedy as you, because magic has been with us since we were born, and we are used to it. Hum, bumpkin."

Daphne made the last complaint in a very low voice, fearing that Tom might hear it and have a bad impression of her.

To Tom's surprise, Daphne was also good at quarreling. She didn't look like a young lady who was ignorant of the ways of the world at all. The two of them went back and forth, attacking without defending.

Tom sat in the middle with an expressionless face, only feeling that his two ears were their main targets of attack.

"It's eight fifty-five," said Tom suddenly.

Hermione was stunned for a moment, then realized that class was about to start and the professor might come over at any time, so she snorted and stopped arguing with Daphne.

Daphne also turned her head away, no longer looking at her, and started chatting quietly with Tom.

A few minutes later, the class bell rang. Professor McGonagall hadn't appeared yet, but two people ran in breathlessly.

"Great, great, I'm not late." Harry panted, supported on his knees, a smile on his face, and quickly found an empty seat with Ronald and sat down.

"What a weird staircase."

Ronald, who was sweating profusely from running, also smiled. He looked around and didn't see Professor McGonagall, so he was even happier: "We are not late, but the professor is late. If I had known, I wouldn't have run so fast. I can hardly breathe."

Ronald did not lower his voice when he spoke, and even though he and Harry were sitting relatively far back, they could still hear it clearly from the podium in front.

Tom turned his head and looked at Ronald with pity in his eyes.

Beating up his roommate on the first day was nothing. Ronald was the real warrior who dared to challenge Professor Cricket in the first class.

"Morning, gentlemen and ladies."

At this moment, the tabby cat leaped forward and transformed into Professor McGonagall in the air, shocking everyone.

Ronald opened his mouth in shock and his face turned pale.

Professor McGonagall glanced at him, then looked at everyone again: "I'm glad that no one is late for the first class. I hope you can keep up the same in the future. At least I won't be late."

"It's over, she heard it..." Ronald heard the faint wailing of mosquitoes and felt that his future was bleak.

Harry calmly moved his butt away from his newly recognized good brother.
