"Congratulations on your discharge, Mummy!" Abby and Axel held up the banner with cute little ribbons tied around it as they stood next to Cher. Both of their faces held a very bright smile; they couldn't wait to have their mom leave the hospital and return home with them.
Though they had been well taken care of by Cher, who mostly enjoyed babysitting the twins, the children also wanted their mother back home.
Lacie sat on the hospital bed, blushing, with her hand covering her face. When she raised her face, she glanced at Cher. "I'm so sorry I gave you my little monsters to hold for a while. I hope they didn't bite you, Cher."
Cher narrowed her eyes for a moment, then glanced at the children and whispered, "They really did bite... they are quite the handful. The bedbugs, we talk about."
Axel turned and said, "You said you wanted us to stay around for a long time," he frowned.
