In his youthful form, Final-Chapter Obito rotated both Mangekyō Sharingan eyes. Supported by Final-Chapter Naruto's chakra, he tore open the space leading to the Beginning Dimension (Shikyū Kūkan).
Revealed on the other side was Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, currently tangled in combat with First-World Hashirama and Final-Chapter Sasuke.
The very next instant—
Swish! Final-Chapter Naruto and Sasuke swapped places, and Naruto swung a punch downward.
Boom!
Ōtsutsuki Kaguya fell in a wretched tumble.
"Got you!"
First-World Hashirama seized Kaguya's arms with both hands. The Six Paths Chibaku Tensei he had stored inside his body activated.
Crack, crack, crack— The ground shook. Countless slabs of rock rose into the air.
(Not good!) Black Zetsu's two beady eyes abruptly widened.
Kaguya's third eye—the Rinne Sharingan in her forehead—was gradually closing, her form reverting to the Rabbit Goddess shape. Her white body sprouted multiple Tailed Beast heads. Compared to the time she was sealed during the Fourth Great Ninja War, she had now absorbed more chakra and had sufficient time to handle that power—hence, she had not outright lost the Rinne Sharingan or all the Tailed Beasts.
Even so, because of Hagoromo's technique, she was still inevitably being driven toward another seal.
(Mother, it's time. Use that jutsu—escape to a world where you still exist, otherwise—)
Black Zetsu urgently suggested again.
Kaguya barked, "Shut up!" She poured out the very last portion of Link's chakra stored within her, causing the markings of the Funa-tsū technique to appear over her body.
(Kamui!)
Final-Chapter Obito once more invoked his eye power, twisting space.
(Mother, be careful of that technique—use part of your body to block it!) Black Zetsu warned again.
(Shut up!) Kaguya, annoyed, merely maneuvered her body so that the part inscribed with the technique was concealed.
In the next second—
The white arm covering that inscribed area got warped off by Kamui. She suddenly realized, in her dazed moment of misjudgment, Black Zetsu had also been taken by Kamui. Before she could mull it over, the Funa-tsū technique had already activated, violently breaking free from the binds of the Six Paths Chibaku Tensei and whisking her off to another world.
Crack—
High above, the newly formed Six Paths Chibaku Tensei hung in the sky. Pieces of stone fell away. Yet the hearts of the strike force were anything but relieved.
First-World Hashirama closed his eyes, streaming his chakra into the seal. Then he opened the Net channel, quickly gathering all scattered members of the assault team.
"Was it a success?"
Main-World Tobirama looked up at the massive sphere in the air and asked.
"She escaped. She used Link's chakra and the Funa-tsū technique to slip out of the Six Paths Chibaku Tensei seal, fleeing to some other world." First-World Hashirama shook his head gravely.
Main-World Tobirama frowned. What he read from that sentence, at least, was some slightly good news: The self-proclaimed progenitor of chakra still needed Link's chakra to activate the Funa-tsū jutsu.
"All right, let's head back immediately for a look." In the next moment, he adopted a grim face and spoke.
Should Kaguya attempt some strategic 'home base swap,' things would get nasty.
First-World Hashirama took a deep breath and activated the Net portal again.
…
Main World, Konohagakure, Hokage Building.
"Sixth Hokage-sama, you were too impulsive."
Turning to face him, Utatane Koharu couldn't hold back her criticism.
"No choice," Link said with utter self-confidence, "He was just spouting nonsense the whole time."
He was referring to the Fire Daimyō he had just walked out on, mid-discussion—nobles being troublesome as always.
Mitokado Homura sighed quietly, "After this, Koharu and I will handle the matter. Then—"
"Then let Shikaku see the Daimyō." He relented, quite helpless.
After all, Link, the little bundle of trouble, was still Hokage. They certainly couldn't make him go back and apologize. Anyway, in the current climate, the Leaf was no longer wholly reliant on the Land of Fire. Leave it at that.
"Thanks, Homura-ojisan. I—" Link was about to say something, when he noticed movement from his shadows. His eyes lit up: "They're back."
The two advisors exchanged glances, feeling their own anxieties lift.
The three hurried to the lab. Once inside, they saw that Main-World Tobirama's expression was less than pleasant. Link ventured, "How did it go?"
First-World Hashirama answered, "The seal failed. She used your chakra to cast the Funa-tsū technique and fled the Six Paths Chibaku Tensei, escaping into some unknown world."
"We've already checked the Second Parallel World and their world; Kaguya didn't show up in either."
Because the Funa-tsū technique's landing spot in any single world was fixed, verifying her arrival in a known world was simple.
Final-Chapter Naruto and Sasuke both wore heavy expressions. Letting one Kaguya roam at large, ready to strike any world, felt far too dangerous.
"Didn't she only have three portions of my chakra left?" Link asked.
Main-World Tobirama cast him a sidelong look. "Yes, meaning she used one piece to flee into an unknown world—two remain for potential sneak attacks on us."
"For now, we have to track her down," Final-Chapter Obito spoke for the first time. "We can't let her keep absorbing chakra. The Kaguya we just faced was far stronger than the one we sealed before."
"But we won't need all of you going this time. Just four of us are enough."
He meant himself, Final-Chapter Naruto, Final-Chapter Sasuke, and First-World Hashirama.
During the previous fight, the rest had barely been of any use.
Main-World Tobirama responded curtly, "Chakra." He tossed a scroll over.
Link caught it and, while pouring in chakra, asked: "Lord Hashirama, how about the power the Six Paths Sage gave you?"
"Once I returned to this world, not much was left," said First-World Hashirama, opening his hand to reveal that the sun-and-moon symbol had vanished. "No worries—the current me can't be killed so easily by Kaguya."
Even though it had merely been borrowed might to step momentarily into that realm of power, he had gained much from it, similar to how Final-Chapter Naruto was in the post–Fourth War era, though weaker.
(Without the Six Paths Chibaku Tensei, maybe they can't kill or seal Kaguya. But ignoring her could doom another entire world…) Link thought, frowning. Quickly finishing injecting chakra, he handed the scroll to First-World Hashirama. "Want me to come along too?"
His Five Elements Seal might be able to kill Kaguya in one shot.
