Chapter 285 - Ch 285 : Princess Tsunade

The sky darkened quickly, and the temperature dropped sharply.

When Makoto stepped out of the Hokage Building, the biting cold wind made him involuntarily shiver.

He pulled his cloak tighter around himself.

Then, he noticed Tsunade standing not far away, as if she had been waiting for him all along.

The wind howled, and the snow fell thickly, yet she remained motionless, like a statue.

Makoto had already been informed that Tsunade had been standing there for a while, but he paid it no mind.

Even now, as the snow continued to fall, what did it matter?

Did this foolish woman think she could move him with such a display?

Ignoring her completely, he continued on his way home.

Seeing this, Tsunade quickly followed.

"Lord Hokage."

Makoto didn't respond and simply kept walking.

Tsunade hurried forward, stepping in front of him to block his path.

However, due to her sudden movement, Makoto's gaze instinctively caught sight of two large things bouncing and trembling in his field of vision.

He couldn't help but take a few extra glances.

Only then did he finally stop, frowning. "Are you not done yet? Should I just throw you into prison as well?"

Tsunade lowered her voice and pleaded, "Lord Hokage, I beg you, please spare Jiraiya."

Makoto merely replied, "And why should I?"

At this late hour, the streets were nearly empty.

The two of them stood in the middle of the road, unnoticed by anyone.

The streetlights around them remained lit—ever since the village started using tailed beast energy for electricity, Konoha's streetlights never turned off at night.

"You think just because you ask me to spare him, I will? Tsunade, are you the Hokage?"

"Lord Hokage, that's not what I meant. I am begging you," Tsunade pleaded humbly.

Makoto looked at her bowed head and lowered gaze, then suddenly said, "Is this the posture of someone who is begging?"

Without hesitation, Tsunade immediately knelt down—she had clearly been prepared for this.

At that moment, a passerby walked by, casting a curious glance at the scene.

But after recognizing that the person standing there was the Hokage, they hurriedly left without saying a word.

"Lord Hokage, please forgive Jiraiya this time."

She fully prostrated herself on the ground, hands pressed against the cold pavement, forehead resting on the back of her hands.

This was not the first time Tsunade had assumed such a position before Makoto.

Back when she served as his assistant, kneeling had become a common occurrence—so much so that she had even grown used to it.

Yet, this utmost display of sincerity did not earn Makoto's sympathy or mercy.

He simply stepped around her without a second glance, intending to leave.

Seeing this, Tsunade hastily reached out and grabbed onto one of his legs.

"Lord Hokage!"

"Let go," Makoto said expressionlessly.

Tsunade pressed her lips together, continuing to plead in a low voice. "Lord Hokage, I beg for your mercy."

Makoto directly pulled his leg free from her grasp.

Tsunade did not dare to hold on too tightly, fearing it would anger him further.

"What if I refuse to show mercy?"

"..."

Tsunade had no way to respond to such words.

After a brief moment of thought, she answered softly, "Then I will continue to beg you."

"You'll keep kneeling here?"

Tsunade froze for a second, not immediately grasping the meaning of his words.

This wasn't the main street of Konoha, nor was it the busiest district, but there were still a fair number of people passing by on any given day.

If she had to kneel here indefinitely…

Lowering her head, she whispered, "As long as you spare Jiraiya's life, I will do whatever it takes."

Forcing Tsunade to kneel here would indeed be an effective way to torment her, but Makoto had no intention of doing so.

No matter what, this woman was still the granddaughter of the First Hokage.

If he let this scene drag on, it would only end up damaging his own reputation.

He sneered. "Do whatever you want, but if you continue making a scene, you'll only make me despise you more."

With that, he stopped paying her any attention and walked straight toward the Hokage Residence.

Tsunade remained kneeling on the ground, unmoving.

She called out to him a few more times, but there was no response.

The next day.

On his way to the Hokage building, Makoto passed by that same street but did not see Tsunade anywhere.

That saved him some trouble.

Upon reaching the Hokage's office, Samui approached him. "Lord Hokage, Lady Tsunade is here. She's in the lounge."

"Mm."

Makoto merely responded flatly and paid no further attention.

By noon, Samui reminded him that Tsunade had been kneeling inside the lounge all morning.

"She even warmed your bed for you."

Makoto raised an eyebrow in slight surprise. "Did you tell her to do that?"

Samui shook her head. "She did it herself."

Makoto pondered for a moment. "What about lunch?"

"It's ready. I had Mabui prepare a portion for her as well, in case she lacks the strength to continue."

"How considerate of you."

Makoto entered the lounge and saw that Tsunade was indeed kneeling beside the bed.

When she heard the door open, she glanced in his direction but quickly lowered her head again.

Ignoring her, Makoto sat down on the chair and began eating his lunch.

Afterward, he lay down on the bed for a nap.

The blanket was warm, carrying a distinct, familiar scent—Tsunade's.

Seeing that Makoto didn't even spare her a glance, Tsunade bit her lip but remained silent.

More than an hour passed.

Lying there, Makoto finally woke up, turning to his side with drowsy eyes, gazing at Tsunade.

Noticing this, Tsunade took the initiative to speak. "Lord Hokage, you're awake."

Makoto didn't respond—he simply continued looking at her.

Tsunade found it strange—why did the Hokage's eyes seem different from before?

At the same time, she instinctively adopted a more submissive posture.

She neatly placed the shoes on the floor, just like she used to, preparing to assist Makoto in getting up.

Makoto lifted the blanket and sat on the edge of the bed, letting both feet dangle down.

Tsunade immediately reached out with both hands, intending to put socks on him.

To her surprise, Makoto moved his foot away, avoiding her touch.

Tsunade paused for a moment before bowing her head and softly saying, "Lord Hokage, allow me to serve you."

Suddenly, one of Makoto's feet lifted out of her view, and the next moment, she felt a weight pressing down on the top of her head.

She instantly realized—he had placed his foot directly on her head.

"Lord Hokage…"

Tsunade dared not move or resist.

She simply endured in silence.

"Socks."

Makoto's voice rang out.

Hearing this, Tsunade quickly picked up the socks and respectfully held them up with both hands, all while enduring the pressure on her head.

Soon, the foot pressing on her head lifted.

She assumed Makoto was putting on the socks himself, but then she heard his voice again.

"Lift your head."

"..."

Obediently, she slowly raised her head—only to see something rapidly growing larger in her vision.

A foot.

Before she could react, Makoto's foot pressed directly against her face.

Tsunade froze instantly, eyes wide open.

His sole was firmly pressed against her cheeks, his toes right in front of her eyes, and the heel pressing against her lips and teeth.

Beyond the strangely large and blurred toes in her vision, Tsunade caught sight of Makoto's calm expression.

The position was uncomfortable, yet she dared not move, her head tilted upward.

Makoto slowly picked up a sock, slightly lifting the upper part of his foot to slip it in.

The fabric brushed past Tsunade's brows and hair as she watched, transfixed, as the sock gradually enveloped his foot.

Between her face and his sole, there was now only a thin layer of cloth.

Once the sock was fully on, Makoto lowered his foot.

Tsunade trembled all over.

Her body shook, not with anger, but with an inexplicable sense of fear.

She felt as if she were losing something incredibly important—something that, once gone, could never be reclaimed.

She noticed Makoto's gaze lingering on her.

Swallowing hard, Tsunade reached for the other sock, holding it up with both hands.

At the same time, she tilted her face slightly higher, lowering her upper body even further.

It was a position that would allow Makoto to rest his foot on her face more comfortably.

She was offering herself.
