Ivy River's voice carried a slight edge, "Why are you looking at Isla? I'm asking you a question, can't you hear me?"
"I heard you. I have nothing to do with Isla Sutton. I didn't receive any calls half a month ago. I don't know anything about what you're talking about."
Brother Tim steeled himself and gritted his teeth as he spoke.
Ivy River smiled, continuing to probe patiently, "Alright, remember what you're saying now. If I come up with evidence later, I'll make your life a living hell."
She whispered the last sentence directly into Brother Tim's ear.
It made Brother Tim's eyelids twitch, truly terrifying!
"No, no, Ivy River, you can't threaten or intimidate me, can you? I have nothing to do with Isla Sutton. You can't force a confession either. I kidnapped you just to get some money; living has become too hard. Is that a problem?"
"No problem, but have you already forgotten everything you just said?"
