"Now," the middle-aged man in a trench coat said with a slight smile as he pulled out a bank card, "the password is written on the back, feel free to check the balance any time if you're not convinced."
Uesugi Yuusaku shakily took the bank card.
"Here's my phone number. If you need any help during the investigation, please call me." The man in the trench coat then took out a business card and handed it to Uesugi Yuusaku.
"Knock, knock, knock!" Just as Uesugi Yuusaku was about to reach for the business card, a knocking sound echoed.
Both he and the man in the trench coat were momentarily stunned.
Uesugi Yuusaku asked, "Who is it?"
"Police! Open up!"
Uesugi Yuusaku looked blankly at the man in the trench coat.
"Better open the door," the man in the trench coat said.
The room was so small that one could see everything at a glance; there was absolutely no place to hide or escape.
Uesugi Yuusaku, with trepidation, went to open the door.
"Bang!"
