Chapter 3 - The Anomaly Unleashed

As I stared at my status screen, my heart pounded. The title "Cheat Master" blinked in silver letters, as if daring me to accept its implications. It was never meant to be real. Yet, here it was, quietly listed among my other titles. My mind raced—had my hack really worked? Did I truly hold power beyond this world's limits?

I hesitated before tapping the title. Instantly, a wave of information flooded my mind. My breath hitched as I read:

"The only one in existence who has bypassed the cosmic laws. Nature has corrected the loophole—no one else will ever hold this power except Samir Chhimpa."

I blinked. Once. Twice. I read it again. And again.

So, this was it. My cheat—written as a shortcut, a backdoor—was now a cosmic lawbreaker. A forbidden path that only I had walked. No one else could ever access it. I felt a mix of disbelief and quiet horror. Then, slowly, a rush of excitement spread through me. I was holding a key to everything. My chest tightened. I exhaled, ran a hand through my hair, and let out a nervous laugh.

This was mine now. I was the only person in this entire cosmos who had broken its rules and gotten away with it.

Then came the real shock—my cheat traits:

• Any damage I take will increase my HP instead of reducing it. I'd still feel the pain, but I wouldn't die from it.

• Any energy, skill points, or attribute points I use will increase instead of depleting. My breath hitched.

This wasn't just overpowered—it was divine. I staggered back, gripping the bark of a nearby tree, its rough surface grounding me. A rush of exhilaration and guilt twisted inside me. Was this fair? Did I deserve this? Others struggled for power, trained for years, yet here I was—a cheater blessed by the system itself.

No. I made this power. I am not going to waste it.

My hands trembled with anticipation as I called out my inventory of Cheat Master title, and in a flash of blue light, a set of black and red armor materialized before me. My Ultimate Armor Suit that I added in the game.

The chest plate gleamed under the sunlight, a mix of black metal and crimson etchings, as though the armor had been forged in battle itself. A black longsword, sleek and deadly, hovered beside it, along with a black spear, a red shield, and a golden ring. The sight alone made my heart race.

As I calmed down, I noticed something new. There were two inventory slots connected to the Cheat Master title—ones that weren't visible on the normal screen. Curious, I tapped the first one.

A red-golden card materialized in my hand. I read its description and nearly dropped it

[Warrior Guild ID Card]

Name: Veerbhadra

Rank: SSS

Race: Human

Guild Status: One of Eight SSS-Rank Warriors

My eyes widened. This was no joke.

Veerbhadra. One of my old gaming aliases. I'd created this ID in the original game so I could skip the grind and jump straight into SSS-rank dungeons. I hated wasting time on early-level quests when I knew the good stuff was at the top.

And now… it was real.

I clenched the card tightly. One of only eight SSS-Rank warriors in the entire guild? That kind of status carried weight—probably influence, maybe even fear.

But also, questions. Would the guild recognize me? Would people expect me to know things I didn't? What kind of history did this "Veerbhadra" have?

Just then, another message popped up beneath the card slot.

"This card is separate from your regular guild identity and only verifies 'Veerbhadra.'"

So, I could have two identities. That was a relief. I could make a normal ID later and no one would know I was carrying this one. I relaxed slightly and returned the card to its hidden slot.

Then a thought struck me. If the first slot contained something I created… what about the second?

I tapped it, and instantly, a sleek black-and-red armor suit appeared in front of me. The long black sword, the dark spear, the crimson shield, and the golden ring shimmered with power. Just looking at it gave me chills. It radiated a dangerous, divine aura.

Back in the game, there was a powerful battle outfit that the player could only collect piece by piece, usually right before fighting the Demon King. But I had cheated it into existence right at the start with heavily modified stats. Its original design was way too weak and had been in silver colour with glowing marks, but I didn't like that. I had browsed online, found photos of armor that looked cooler, and modified the files. It was my Ultimate Battle Suit.

I couldn't stop myself. I crouched beside the armor, ran my fingers over the polished metal. It was cool to the touch, heavier than I expected. I had only ever seen this in images. Now it was right in front of me.

Unable to resist, I started putting it on.

And it was a nightmare.

There were straps, layers, and heavy parts. It was nothing like games where you click once and boom—you're ready for war. My arms ached by the time I had just half of it on.

"If a monster attacks me during this," I muttered, "I'm dead before I get one leg through."

And what if I got diarrhea while wearing this thing?

The image of me scrambling to get it off, struggling with belts, then trying to wash it afterward flashed in my mind. I groaned.

After what felt like an eternity, I finally secured the last piece. The moment I did, a wave of raw power surged through me. Heat spread across my limbs, my muscles tensed, and my vision sharpened. It felt as if the very air around me was bending to my presence.

I opened my status screen and nearly dropped my sword.

Every single stat except luck and intelligence had skyrocketed. My strength, agility, and defense were a hundred times their original values. My intelligence had jumped by 40 points. My HP was now infinite.

I stared at the numbers, stunned.

I clenched my fist and, without thinking, threw a punch into the air.

A thunderous shockwave erupted forward.

The force ripped through the trees, tearing them apart like paper. Leaves and debris shot into the sky as an entire km of forest was wiped out in an instant. The sheer pressure sent me stumbling back.

I froze, staring at the devastation. If I had done that near a village… near people…

My stomach twisted at the thought. That one punch could've wiped out a whole town.

A thousand lives, gone without warning.

I stood still, trying to breathe. Power like this wasn't a tool. It was a threat — even to myself.

But beneath that fear… was awe.

Then I laughed—a deep, uncontrolled laugh. The kind that comes when you realize you're no longer the same person you were five minutes ago. Adrenaline coursed through my veins, my hands shaking.

I jumped, unable to hold in my excitement.

The ground cracked beneath me, and in the next second, I was flying upward. Wind howled past my ears. The forest below shrank rapidly. I could see distant rivers, valleys, maybe even the edge of a mountain range. I kept going. Higher. And higher.

That's when I started to panic. I didn't have any flying skills, so why was I still going up? Then I realized—it wasn't flight, it was just one God tier jump.

Then gravity took over.

I screamed half-heartedly as I plummeted like a meteor. No way to slow my descent. My mind raced. Double-jump? Air step? Wind magic? Nothing worked. I braced myself for impact, remembering that I could still feel pain.

A thunderous crash as my body slammed into the earth, blasting a crater nearly twelve meters deep. Dust and debris exploded upward. The pain was unimaginable.

My bones felt like they'd turned to liquid. My lungs seized. Every inch of my body screamed in agony.

I lay there, gasping.

"My back… my back…" I groaned, barely able to move.

But then I checked my status.

HP: Infinite → +20,000

Even in pain, I weakly laughed.

This was absurd.

Without the cheat, I would've died a dozen times over. But here I was—broken, aching, but stronger.

I stayed still for a moment, just breathing. Then, finally, I pulled myself upright and peeled off the armor. I wasn't going to wear that again until I could control myself. Power without discipline was just destruction.

From the inventory linked to my Otherworlder title, I pulled out a simpler iron armor set.

It was a basic outfit: a black t-shirt-like chainmail, green medieval pants, a red leather belt with sword scabbards, brown boots, an orange jacket, and leather scraps for shoulders, knees, and elbows. There was even a helmet and an iron sword.

I slipped it on, grateful for how light and flexible it felt.

Despite the rugged design, it actually looked decent. And it still boosted all my stats by around 15 points – except Luck and Intelligence.

I stretched, testing the new gear. It was comfortable, stable.

I sat on the stone again, still catching my breath from the crash. The iron armor creaked slightly as I leaned forward and opened my status screen.

Time to test attribute point cheat for real.

Just to be sure, I increased my Strength from 10 to 11.

The attribute point didn't decrease. In fact, it ticked up by one.

I grinned to myself.

Confirmed.

It worked.

I raised Strength, Defense, and Agility all the way to 400 each. The interface made me repeat the action dozens of times, and while it was tedious, I didn't mind. My cheat was turning effort into reward.

Then I turned to Intelligence.

At first, it cost ten points per increase. But when I reached 100, something new happened — a passive skill unlocked.

Photographic Memory.

I sat up straighter. That was something real, something useful. With that kind of memory, I could memories and learn anything.

Encouraged, I added one more point.

Now it needed twenty points per increase.

I stared at the screen for a long second. Intelligence might unlock hidden perks So, it probably kept scaling from here. After a thought I decided to stop increasing it further for the time being.

Not because I was running out of points but because I was a little scared. What if I got too smart? I didn't want to turn into one of those monks or all-knowing mystics or some old man who sit around all day thinking about "the greater good."

Next, I looked at the energy section. I had some idea what Magic Power (MP) is but I knew nothing about Prana, Divine & Abyssal Energy. So, I tapped each one for info:

* Magic Power (MP) – Used for casting magic spells. Restores naturally. 1 attribute point = 100 MP.

* Prana Energy – Used to physical enhancement. Restores naturally. 1 attribute point = 100 Prana Energy.

* Divine Energy – Required for Divine Magic, Curses & Boons. Needs 200 Intelligence and after that 1 attribute point = 1 Divine Energy = 300,000 MP or Prana. Restores after 24 hours.

* Abyssal Energy – Exists in all emotional beings, but usable only by those with Asura blood or by those who consume it. Boosts all stats massively and can work with MP and Prana, but is fueled by negative emotions like rage, lust, and greed. It cannot be raised by attribute points it grows with emotional instability & negative emotions. Dangerous. Corruptive.

MP and Prana were straightforward. Divine Energy made sense as it was tied to intelligence and powerful as hell. That explained the increased cost.

But Abyssal Energy? That one scared me.

Fueled by hatred, lust, greed, and rage. It sounded just as strong as Divine Energy, maybe even more flexible. But at what cost? The very idea of being stuck in that mindset made my skin crawl.

I made a mental note: never touch Asura blood. Not drink, not absorb, not even splash on my boots.

I added 400 attribute points each to MP & Prana Energy. It took a while, since I still had to tap through each point manually. No batch button. I was seriously hoping that would change later.

After I finished allocating my stats, it was time to level up my skills. I scrolled down to the last section and decided to max out every single one of them.

•Appraisal and Item Box: Level 15 (Max)

With this at max level, I could now analyze absolutely anything living or non-living, magical or mundane. My Item Box had become a bottomless space where I could store an infinite number of items. It allowed me to label slots, control time and temperature within them. On top of that, I had unlocked two more useful skills. One allowed me to control my skill points through voice commands, while the other, Super Concealment, let me hide or even modify my own status display at will.

•Strong Body

I began with the Strong Body skill.

As I use my skill point it evolved into Stone Body lv 1, which made my physical body as tough as stone and granted a small amount of pain resistance.

I kept upgrading.

Stone Body- Lv 15 → Steel Body- Lv 15 → Mithril Body- Lv 15 → Adamantite Body- Lv 15 → Sun Thunder Body- Lv 15 →God Body- Lv 15 → Lesser Celestial Body- Lv 15.

The moment it hit Level 15; a beam of pure light scanned my body. A message appeared on the screen, but I was too stunned to read it properly, I only caught the last word: "...worth."

To upgrade to the next level, Pure Celestial Body, the system asked for 500,000 skill points.

And honestly? It felt worth it.

With this skill active, my body had become impervious to almost everything. Only pure celestial beings or weapons of the same caliber could even hope to harm me.

•Elemental Magic: Level 15 (Max)

I upgraded my elemental magic next.

At max level, I gained mastery over Fire, Water, Rock, and Wind. At Level 5, more elements unlocked: Light, Lightning, Ice, Plant. Darkness was also unlocked, but I ignored it since it required Abyssal energy.

All the other elements were leveled to the maximum. I could now shape and control them purely with thought, as long as I had enough MP to back it up.

•Support and Healing Magic: Level 15 (Max)

At this level, I could increase or decrease anyone's stats by up to 75%. I had access to every form of healing magic imaginable, including Resurrection. I could even create barriers that can block anything (Matter or Energy) from couldn't be broken by any normal means.

A unique skill also unlocked - I could now enhance or reduce the quality of any non-living object by up to 1000 X. What was more, anything crafted from these altered materials would retain the change permanently.

•Summoning Magic: Level 15 (Max)

I could now summon entities up to the rank of Lesser Celestial. They would remain until I either dismissed them or ran out of MP.

Even beings stronger than gods could be summoned, though they had the right to refuse direct combat. Still, they would protect me passively, even absorbing damage on my behalf.

•Taming Magic: Level 15 (Max)

This allowed me to tame creatures up to the Lesser Celestial tier. Once tamed, I would receive 25% of the experience they earned. I could train them and even push them toward evolution. The only condition was that they had to submit to me willingly.

•God's Blessing: Level 15 (Max)

At Level 1 once activated this skill gave me a 25% boost in stats along with temporary access to Stone Body lv 7, Elemental Magic lv 1, and Support & Healing Magic Lv 1—for five minutes.

The boost scaled as the level increased. At Level 15… the result was ridiculous.

My full power, amplified for several minutes. In my current state, I was fairly certain I could shatter mountains with a punch or leap across continents if I wanted to.

****

After maxing out all my skills, I felt deeply satisfied. I was excited—beyond excited, even. But there was also a lingering disbelief. Just how powerful had I become? It was hard to process.

More importantly, I no longer had to fear for my safety in this strange world. That thought alone brought a strange comfort.

Just as I was wondering how to make the best use of my new powers, a screen flashed before me.

"Congratulations on maxing your magic and obtaining the Lesser Celestial Body. Low Tier Celestial Magic has been unlocked.

Cost: 250,000 Skill Points. Activate: Yes / No?"

I tapped "Yes."

Blinding white light engulfed me, like my body was resonating with something beyond human. When the glow faded, a new line appeared:

I could now use Celestial-level magic. Not immediately, though. My body was ready, but I didn't have the energy it needed for now. I would have to cultivate that power myself.

It was a little disappointing. For a moment, I even wondered if this was just a flashy way to steal my points.

If I hadn't been blessed with cheat-level abilities, I might have been furious. But since my points had increased overall, I decided not to care too much.

When I checked again, I still had 537,182 skill points. Enough to upgrade my Strong Body skill to the next level.

I used 500,000 points to evolve from Lesser Celestial Body to Pure Celestial Body.

The moment I confirmed the upgrade, the world trembled.

My skin turned black for an instant—not darkness like shadow, but black like space, filled with tiny, glowing stars and swirling galaxies. A second later, it returned to normal.

I quickly opened my status screen with a surprised face:

HP: Infinite

Defense: Infinite

My breath caught in my throat.

I tapped on the skill's description and read.

Nothing could hurt me anymore. Not weapons. Not magic. Not poison, illusions, curses or mental attacks. I didn't need to eat, drink, sleep, or even breathe. I could alter my size at will using magic or prana. I would never age. I could not die from natural causes. Only a being of true celestial nature could even interact with me meaningfully. Even Abyssal energy's side effect will no longer work

I read the description again. And again.

Then I leaned forward and slowly exhaled.

All of this… just because I cheated in a game.

There was a flicker of guilt somewhere in my chest. But honestly? I was mostly proud.

I had bent the rules of reality. Shaped it around me.

But in that quiet moment, a single question rose in the back of my mind.

"If I'm truly invincible… then what challenge remains?"

I clenched my fists and stared up at the sky.

No matter how strong I had become, no matter how high I rose…

I still had one purpose that mattered more than anything else.

I had to find a way home.
