"Arthur," Poseidon spoke firmly, "your strength and authority have been sealed. But you are still my chosen. My gift can break Raven's chains and restore your power. Step forward, reclaim your birthright as king of the seas."

Aquaman looked to Batman, who nodded solemnly, and he moved towards Poseidon, heart pounding, knowing his destiny—and Atlantis's fate—hung precariously in the balance.

Aquaman hesitated briefly before stepping forward, his reflection shimmering eerily on the surface of Poseidon's piercing, unearthly eyes. He felt the burden of Atlantis pressing heavily upon his shoulders once more, magnified by the dark, abyssal power emanating from the god.

Poseidon's brows knitted together, eyes narrowing at Constantine and Etrigan. "You two," he growled, voice resonating dangerously through the water, "were about to use forbidden magic in my realm?"

Constantine gave a sheepish, irreverent grin, trying to feign innocence. "Forbidden magic? Whatever do you mean, mate?"

"Mate?" Poseidon asked with a raised eyebrow.

"My lord." John corrected himself quickly before he incurred the wrath of another god. He already has a long list of powerful entities that want him dead, no need to add an Olympian to that long list.

Etrigan crossed his massive arms defiantly, an insolent smirk spreading across his demonic features. "He means the kind that spits in nature's prude face. Weak shit, apparently," the demon sneered, daring the god to make the first move.

The ancient deity chuckled, a rumbling, unsettling sound deep enough to shake even Batman's stoic resolve. "Tell me about it." Poseidon agreed with Etrigan.

"Do not insult me by practicing that weak shit and your petty mortal witchcraft in my domain. Let a god show you how it's truly done."

Constantine's mouth opened to retort but the deity had already turned his back, now fixated completely upon Aquaman. Etrigan, thoroughly enjoying Constantine's stunned "Pikachu face," laughed heartily, the sound echoing wickedly through the divine aquatic chamber. This was quite the outing for him.

Poseidon's gaze was severe yet intrigued as he studied Aquaman. "The seals this Raven placed upon you are intricate indeed. How exactly did you allow such a creature to go unchecked so long?" Though he spoke to Aquaman, his pointed look directed the question squarely at Batman, who responded only with his customary silence and brooding frown.

Poseidon sighed, shaking his mighty head in dramatic disdain. "I watched the battle between your Justice League and this Raven, you know."

"That beatdown was heavenly."

Batman narrowed his eyes. "And you merely observed from your throne, did you?"

The god smiled darkly, baiting Batman openly. "Indeed, and with a fine Atlantean wine in hand, no less."

Batman, was wise enough not to fall into the deity's trap of disrespect, especially that of a Greek god's. Those who don't know history become history themselves. He allowed the god to continue uninterrupted.

Poseidon reached into Aquaman's chest, his divine hand phasing through flesh and bone effortlessly. Arthur's agonized scream echoed through the chamber, reverberating endlessly as Poseidon drew out an ethereal black thread, seemingly infinite in length, dripping darkly with arcane energy. Poseidon neatly folded the thread into a shimmering box, sealing and banishing it with a wave, likely to study its complexities later.

"And now," Poseidon declared, his voice echoing triumphantly. He raised his hands dramatically, two radiant tridents materializing from thin air, each shimmering with unparalleled power. One he bestowed upon Aquaman, its ornate structure gleaming magnificently.

"This trident," Poseidon declared, eyes locked fiercely onto Arthur, "shall command the seas once more, restoring the dominion that was stolen from you."

The second trident he presented to Batman. The Dark Knight hesitated, scrutinizing the god carefully before accepting the celestial weapon.

"This one grants you dominion over storms and flight," Poseidon explained briefly.

Constantine's face twisted into a playful pout. "Oi, no Christmas gifts for us, then? Were we that naughty?" he asked dryly, feigning hurt.

Poseidon, however, turned sharply to face Etrigan, completely ignoring Constantine, contempt evident in his gaze. "A demon carries no rightful place among mortal realms. Especially you, creature. I sense the lingering stench of the usurper upon you."

Batman's eyes flickered sharply toward Etrigan, realization dawning suddenly. Raven and Etrigan—connected? How deep does this conspiracy run?

Etrigan scoffed, folding his arms defiantly. "Keep your damned gifts, old man. I don't need your charity."

Poseidon ignored him utterly, addressing Batman instead. "Now, leave. I must speak with my siblings. A greater war approaches once more."

The environment twisted and dissolved, their surroundings shimmering away like a fleeting dream. The four found themselves back inside Aquaman's bunker once more, the glow of pearls softening the harsh reality of their return.

Arthur exhaled deeply, flexing his muscles, strength pulsing vividly once more. "It feels good to be back," he murmured with satisfaction. His knuckles cracked audibly, the sound resonating deeply throughout the bunker.

"And yet," whispered a distinctly feminine voice, delicate and ethereal as silk yet commanding attention, "that strength alone will not suffice against Raven."

The group spun simultaneously, hands flying instinctively to weapons. Before them floated the ghostly, blue-tinted apparition of an enchantingly beautiful woman—her form gracefully translucent, hair cascading in gentle waves, a mist-like gown softly enveloping her figure.

The Lady of the Lake.

Aquaman gasped, stepping forward reverently. "My Lady—"

She hushed him gently, her voice soothing yet urgent. "Time is scarce, Arthur. Give me your hand."

Without hesitation, Arthur offered his left hand. She murmured inaudibly, eyes closed as ancient magic surged around her, causing Arthur's arm to shimmer and morph into crystal-clear, living water, constantly shifting, pulsating with magical energy.

As swiftly as she had appeared, the ethereal lady dissolved into nothingness, her voice lingering behind, hauntingly serene. "Goodbye, and good luck."

Batman, ever curious and vigilant, turned to Arthur sharply. "Who was she?"

Aquaman exhaled slowly, regarding his transformed arm with awe and solemnity. "The Lady of the Lake. An ancient entity whose power surpasses mortal understanding, tied to the fabric of magical existence itself. She is protector and guardian of the mystical realms, the keeper of secrets, bearer of powerful gifts that can turn the tides of war. She was an unexpected ally in this war, but a great one nonetheless."

"Arthurian legend," Constantine murmured thoughtfully, rubbing his chin. "Not mere myth, after all. She bestows weapons, wisdom, and protection as the legend goes. And now it seems she's involved herself directly. To think I would see her beautiful form one day. Sad I didn't have the chance to talk to her, I am in need of greater magical artifacts that your damned SEA DADDY CAN'T EVEN SPARE!"

Batman nodded solemnly, recognition dawning. "It's reassuring to see beings of such ancient power acknowledge the gravity of Raven's threat. It validates everything we feared. But the way they took their time worries me. Well, that doesn't matter now that Poseidon will hopefully gather the rest of the Olympians to our cause. But I honestly don't want their direct involvement."

Arthur's eyes hardened, newfound determination radiated from him. He raised his water-infused hand, clenched it tightly, the fluid solidifying briefly into crystalline clarity. "Then let this mark the beginning of Raven's end."

Etrigan laughed darkly, the sound rich and menacing. "Indeed, let the harlot goddess tremble in fear, for her reckoning draws near."

Batman moved forward, his cape billowed slightly in the underwater air currents. "We have Poseidon's blessing, the Lady of the Lake's favor, and the combined strength of heroes and gods alike. We must move swiftly."

Constantine grinned, blowing smoke into the cold bunker air, relishing the tension. "Alright then, mates. Looks like we're going god hunting."

Their collective resolve firmed, ready to challenge fate itself. For the first time since Raven's devastating rise to power had created something other than despair, hope sparked anew—small, fragile, but powerful enough to ignite a revolution against the dark goddess herself.

In this timeline, this would be the first time villains and heroes got together to dispel a single threat, even the gods showed concern this time.

The battle was now imminent, the outcome uncertain—but for the first time, victory no longer seemed entirely beyond their grasp.
