While the Trio Left, the Streets seemed to get ever Busier. Later into the day, the more the pirates and all in between that could be labeled as criminals came out. The Flapping of Papers and movement caught the Captain's eyes. Causing him to shift his gaze, a bounty board!
"Hey Look at That!" He Said strutting over to the board. "Is mine on there-?" Spoke Kále, resting his wrist on the hilt of VI, leaning forward. The Bounties ranged in so many Amounts it was staggering, So many Names, Zyui, Gregor Walker, Pelagia Ayumu, Bartholomew Howl, Willam Low, Quelch Charles, Agnus Trix, Facere Jacquelien, Francis Hund, Brizman, Ancora D. June And many More.
So many names Kind of Staggered the Captain. He knew after Arabasta just how big the world could be, but this. This was a solidification of just exactly how big of a goal it was.
But in that moment, his eyes shifted to a familiar face. His own. He couldn't help but smile.
"Oh there I am." Kále stroked his scruff as he admired the poster. "Cooks there too."
"Oh great…" Kirk said as he slouched his shoulders. "An Island full of Pirates and your Faces are plastered in the middle of town…"
Rapid thumping could be heard across the deck as Dezzi Ran back and forth frantically with their hands tugging on their ears. "Ah! Ah! Loud! Why was it so Loud!"
The Rabbit Mink had a very distressed look on their face as they frantically raced around. The noise was just too much for them and their highly-tuned ears
"Dezzi it's okay!" Spoke Noir, his hands it to the side attempting to console the Doctor as they zipped passed the chef.
"Dez, it's alright. Its passed." Spoke raven as she came to a knee and opened her arms for the mink, only for them to rush past her and behind her, peaking over her shoulder. "That sucked…"
"Dez!" Leroy spoke as he jumped up onto the ship "Thunder too much for you?" As he spoke the Rabbit mink jolted from behind the Archeologist "Captain!!" They yelled as they grabbed hold of The Captain, frantically looking around again. "yes, It was horrible!" They said nuzzling into the Captains leg in an attempt to comfort themselves from such an onslaught on their sensitive senses
Leroy gave a soft smile and pat their head, ruffling their blue hair. "Well It's passed now so no need to worry."
His gaze then shifted to the rest Of the crew who was On deck. Jeanne busied her hands with the metal she'd purchased, precision tools in her hands, working them Into the arched wood of the weapon she was crafting.
"Alright, we've got three days until the log pose locks to another island. But we won't be leaving when that happens-"
Noir crossed his arms and leaned onto the wood Of the main mast. "And why's that?"
"Because! We're going to a Sky Island!"
The proclamation caused the Markswoman's eyes to widen as one of the tools dropped from her mouth. A slight grin coming over her Face. "A Sky Island!?"
"Are you for real Leroy!" She said puffing into steam and reappearing in an excited gesture.
Leroy then ran over to the Markswoman and held an equal expression on His face. "Yep! I meet this guy Lantis and he said that the Clouds-"
The captain proceeded to ramble, rant, and rave to the Steam Human about all that Lantis had told him and Kirk. The Woman's eyes lighting up more by the second as she listened. By the end they were both practically dancing in excitement saying "To a Sky Island! To a Sky Island!"
"Well. Those two seem awfully excited." Spoke Raven.
"Tsh. Yeah! It's some pretty neat stuff Rav!" Kirk said with his own excitement as he began to talk about the clouds and their formation with the Archeologists. Who was very enthused with such information, she'd never been to a Sky Island. But in her years of Scholarship she had always wished to experience it and see if any of the literature was accurate to reality
The Next Two days were wholly uneventful. While some of the more worrisome members of the crew, such as Jeanne and Kirk were troubled at the idea of staying docked In port, Kirk took It upon himself soon after he made sure all of their groceries arrived safely, sailed out to around a kilometer from shore and anchored in the bay
But, that was only aboard the Horizon. Because for the entire night of the first day after the chance encounter with Lantis. A sharpshooter had their eyes glued to their scope and watched the Horizons Palm. Only to report back to the Man that had almost gotten into a brawl with Leroy back at the bar.
"So. You sure you don't want to engage? If what you said is true. Such an astonishing bounty would do you a great means tow-" But before the Rifleman could finish his sentence. The man from the bar cut him off
"Nah. I think I've got my eyes set on bigger fish. And besides! We haven't finished our fun on the island!"
However, after that. The only eyes they had them were the occasional scoundrel from the island who only gave the thought of taking on a ship captain with a bounty of 213 million for a few moments before deciding for their own safety that it was best not to. And as for anyone else with a possible higher bounty utterly paid the Crew and their ship no mind whatsoever. It helped that a description of their ship hadn't been published in any papers yet.
Before the Night of the Second day. Kirk thought it best to move the Palm somewhere still within the island's vicinity, near the main town of Mock, there was a Rigid cove with staggered coast. The nearby Jungle known as Crani was thick and lush. Known for it's wildlife of massive boars, and enormous insects.
But upon the Night of the Second Day. As the Crew were fast asleep, the Captains and Mink doctors' ears tinged at a far off distant noise. The Origin of which, was soon to be revealed
