-3rd POV-
After their little spar, Yanqing, Wukong, and Meliodas arrived and sat down in a private room in one of Xianzhou's most famous restaurants.
"But seriously *MUNCH!* what did you do?" Yanqing asked as he munched on a massive chicken leg. The move Meliodas had pulled earlier, which his master had copied perfectly, still plagued his mind.
It annoyed him that he was the only one who didn't know how to pull it off.
"You really want to know?" Meliodas asked with a grin as he stuffed his mouth with dumplings.
Yanqing shook his head eagerly.
'Should I tell him?' Meliodas wondered in his head.
The situation required some thinking on his side.
For one, Meliodas has only known the dude for like an hour. It was also disadvantageous to teach a random person a strong technique like [Rift Slip].
However, it didn't matter since Wukong now knew how to do it. Meliodas doesn't think the monkey would reveal his skill to Yanqing, but instead would respect his privacy and keep the skill to himself.
But who knows? He has only known Wukong for a short time despite their student-teacher relationship.
But...telling him came with an advantage.
"...Fine, but you need to tell me how you did it, alright?" Meliodas said as he finally made up his mind.
"How did I do what?" Yanqing asked as he didn't know what Meliodas was talking about specifically.
Perhaps it was his Karate or Taekwondo? Both were CQC fighting styles that his master had created and had been passed down to him by Wukong.
"That weird kick you did at the beginning, your kicks pierced past my defenses like they were tofu," Meliodas said, his hand gliding down to his lower abdomen.
Despite having healed already from their little spar, Meliodas could still feel the soreness from the kick he had received there.
It was as if all the power in his kicks had been focused into a single point. The technique itself felt familiar, but he couldn't put his finger on it...
"You could tell?" Yanqing said in slight surprise.
His kicks were incredibly strong, so most of the people who fight him don't even notice the slight difference in techniques he uses. But that's only because those people are ignorant, and because of that, there was no surprise in Yanqing's mind at the fact that Meliodas had noticed from taking just one kick to the abdomen.
Yanqing's eyes looked to his side, staring straight at Wukong, who was stuffing his mouth with pork while chugging down Moutai alcohol.
Wukong suddenly stopped eating as he felt Yanqing's stare. He looked over and shrugged at him.
[Direct Translation of Wukong's Shrug: Do as you want]
Seeing that Wukong gave him the green light, he looked back at Meliodas.
"Alright, you teach me that skill of yours and I'll teach you mine!" Yanqing said as he finally accepted Meliodas's offer.
With a grin, Meliodas and Yanqing shook hands.
"Alright, you first," Meliodas said as he got comfy and had his ears open to listen.
"The techniques I mainly use are a form of martial arts called Karate and Taekwondo..." Yanqing started.
Yes, he could have just told him the skill, but Yanqing believed that learning the basics first was important.
He went on for an hour, describing the core of his martial arts.
"And that's the basics..." Yanqing finally finished after his long talk.
Meliodas nodded as he had his journal out, "MYP Journal (VOL 6)", along with a brush and ink. He did have a pencil, but it felt cooler to use the brush and ink.
"And now that I'm finished, the name of the technique that you've been wondering about is called...RENEWAL RECOILLES TAEKWANDO!!!!" Yanqing revealed with pride.
"....What?!" Meliodas said in shock as the stars and planets had finally aligned in his mind.
No wonder the technique felt so familiar!
It was the [Renewal Recoilless Taekwondo] Jin Mori uses in "God of High School"
And the "Jin Mori" mentioned is just another version of Wukong from Chinese myth.
The Renewal Recoilless is a concept or principle that was developed by Jin Tae-Jin in the Manhwa. It could be obtained once the user has mastered all of the basic Renewal taekwondo techniques and is able to execute any move perfectly by focusing all their energy into a single point without wasting any movement.
This would amplify the kick's power to the point that it could bend space and is strong enough to damage gods.
'This moron has such an OP technique at hand, and he still didn't beat me?' Meliodas wondered in his mind.
"Buuuut...I haven't completely mastered it. Actually, I'm far from it," Yanqing said with a sheepish smile.
"...Bro," Meliodas looked at him with a speechless expression. For a second there, Meliodas thought he would have to put a little bit of respect on Yanqing's name.
"What?" Yanqing replied, not sure as to why Meliodas was looking at him that way.
Meliodas sighed. "Nothing...Continue"
Yanqing continued to explain Taekwondo, then Renewal Taekwondo, and finally arrived at Renewal Recoilless Taekwondo.
Yanqing himself had essentially mastered everything in the martial arts, except for Renewal Taekwondo and Renewal Recoilless Taekwondo.
As Yanqing finished explaining everything to Meliodas, he looked at him with eyes shining full of expectation.
"Alright then, my turn," Meliodas said as he began to explain the concept behind his [Rift Slip].
And as he finished...
"Dude..." Yanqing looked at him with an incredulous expression.
"Where did you even learn to do that?" He couldn't help but ask. Yes, Yanqing had busted skills and powers, but he learned them from an even more busted and skilled person.
And Meliodas? It should be practically impossible to create a skill like that by yourself unless you were some sort of heaven-defying talent.
"Where did I learn them?" Meliodas found the question hard to answer. He technically didn't learn it from anyone, but at the same time, he didn't create the skill as it was given to him via the system he had.
"I just kind of did it," Meliodas shrugged.
Meliodas was spiting so much bullshit, that even Wukong stopped eating and looked at him with a "Are you serious?" look.
Meliodas ignored both their stares as he began to eat.
