My name is Alex Bowman and I've been spending the last 2 weeks in this workshop Making Axetank And magic Circle boxes And yesterday I found out why Golems are considered useless essentially what happened is instead of creating a robot type Golem they created a statue that can move which may sound similar but is dramatically different no I have to wait for the end of the week so that I can have some time to make a proper Golem until then I'm just working
Speaking of working Axetank Is the thing that I've been making off and on for the past 2 weeks Axetank Is made by soaking wood in a alchemical mixture And then pressing it in a mold the more pressure you apply to it the more compressed it gets there are ratings
the lowest rated is called white Axetank The pressure that you need to create white is 10 to 15 lb per square inch and that is the second to lowest rating you can actually get and is considered trash usable Axetank Is at least three levels above that which is brown Axetank Which takes a literal ton to compress and I've made probably close to 5,000 bricks of this type to be fair each mold has 12 bricks
These molds are large and are really fucking heavy they are 10 inches By 34 in long and 12 in high and the Bricks that they make are four and a half inches thick 3 and 1/2 in wide an 8 in long and Have a 2-in steel cap that compressed them into the proper shape the shape is there two extrusions on the top and two indents on the bottom these are the main building bricks for pretty much every house in the city and most other cities they're particularly good because they are magic resistant fire resistant and almost Completely Resistant to damage and weigh a good 30 lb Each
A typical molding station looks pretty interesting the molds have rings on the sides that you attach a pulley to that you pick it up off of the stack of other Molds and then you then move the mold to a table lower it down onto the table hook another hook the same pulley to the Cap pick up the cap using the pulley remove the bricks put them into a magic box
take the wood from the alchemical mixture put the wood mixture into the molds put the cap back on then you lower the mold onto a dolly take it over to the stack of other molds lift the other five molds put the mold that you just filled on the bottom and lower the rest Then you then push the stack of molds into the magic box meant for input and then you pull out the next stack from the output magic box
Once I run out of molds in the output box I then start working on Magic Circle boxes myself magic circle boxes Are actually six different magic circles that are stamped onto the inside of a box doing it this way is the easiest and cheapest way that is the reason why they're the most common they do have some quarks to them what are the main ones being that too properly either input or output an item you need to close the lid and then
Activate the circle by either rotating it left or right depending on what you want typically speaking rights is for input left is for output this could actually get pretty annoying when you really start to utilize them however the typical one is normally a 12 times multiplier on the internal space of the box this is because each magic circle has a two times multiplier on internal Space
And that's pretty much what I've been doing off and on if I'm not even making Axetank Or magic circle boxes I am studying magic circles myself i've discovered something very interesting it does not actually matter for 90% of magic circles their size so a magic circle the size of a human hair in the size of of room doesn't really matter it does matter about complexity and how hard it is to inscribe but other than that it doesn't really matter
and looking into this further I found out that magic circles originally came from old ritual circles and when people found out that virtual circles don't need to be as big as they were they started downsizing them to the minimum sizes and over the years began to find more and more runes and alphabets for these magic circles
And that's pretty much all would have been doing for the past 2 weeks nothing really that's exciting other than studying and working and studying and working over and over again yay
Luckily today is going to be a little bit different because today we're going to be making a proper Golem oh well golem arm but same difference
'So just saying this should be more efficient than the old way right' Rargum
Rargum Is currently finishing up the final assembly of the new Golem arm that Alex has been working on it is free time the past Seven days it's been exactly that amount of time since their last Golem was made
'Yes there should be 80% more efficient' Alex
'You know the only time I've ever seen you serious is when we're doing stuff like this' Rargum
As the last of the Golem arm Was being assembled the joints flat A flat circular plates each one with with a magic circle on them mana thread connecting all the circles together into a central circle cable of controlling all the others
'I get that quite a bit actually' Alex
'Honestly it freaked me out the first time you were this serious' Rargum
'So do you want to do the job or should I' Alex
Alex gestured at the new Golem arm now completely finished it essentially looked like a modern day robot arm except for had all five fingers and it was mostly made of stone
'I'll do the job I need to make sure this crazy idea actually works' Rargum
Rargum Walked over to the arm and begin activating the Magic circle to control all of it As the magic circle began to light up it flowed through the wires to all the others these wires are something new that Alex has come up with after finding out that silver actually has a pretty good magical compatibility he decided to make silver thread be the wires that he uses in his new Golems
'Wow that's actually working a lot more I can barely feel the drain' Rargum
Rargum Was so flabbergasted that he had no idea what he should say next he genuinely thought that this was going to be a stupid idea in this wouldn't actually work
'See I told you this is going to work' Alex
'Yeah now all we need to do is create a whole golem using this' Rargum
'My main question is why is this a new thing' Alex
