After the annual meeting of the Shan Sect, an unexpected change occurred in the Cultivation World of the Continent.
Two years later, at the once-every-nine-years Daoist Sect conference in the Southwest region, the Wu Sect, which had been at odds with the Shan Sect Quanzhen, abruptly announced that all nineteen of their True Disciples would undergo a re-assessment and compete in a grand competition.
"Wu Sect" is a collective term. In recent centuries, they have annexed several smaller Daoist Sects around them, including half of the Anhe Daoist Sect, which is why they have as many as nineteen True Disciples.
The Shan Sect Quanzhen changed, and they had to change; if they didn't, they wouldn't be able to cope with the increasingly aggressive invasion of the Sword Sect's power. This was a trend, like a gamble. The other side raised the stakes, do you follow, or not?
There was no choice but to follow—no other path to take.
