[TL/N: New Book Here! It's Detective Conan fanfic! Titled: Detective Conan: I'm A Succubus!?]
-------
At Teitan Elementary School,
In one of the classrooms, a group of small figures had gathered, engaged in a lively discussion.
"Are you all planning to sign up for any interest classes?"
Ayumi looked excitedly at the group before her, which included Schwi, Kanna, Conan, Haibara Ai, Flandre, and Remilia.
However, her enthusiasm was met with silence. None of the group responded to her question.
After all, most of them weren't ordinary children.
On the side, Genta and Mitsuhiko started pondering seriously.
"For me?" Genta began, scratching his head. "My parents want me to join a track and field class. They said it suits me better."
Mitsuhiko nodded thoughtfully. "I'm going for the reading class; that fits me well. By the way, Conan, what about you? Are you signing up for the soccer class or the detective class?"
Mitsuhiko turned to Conan, who he knew had two main interests: soccer and solving mysteries.
But Conan simply smiled and remained quiet. Interest classes might excite normal elementary school students, but as a fake elementary schooler, they weren't of any interest to him.
Haibara, seated nearby, also remained silent, her expression indifferent. Meanwhile, the rest of the group began to think.
"Kanna-chan," Haibara said after a moment. "Do we need to join interest classes?"
Kanna tilted her head in curiosity. "What are interest classes anyway?"
Her innocent question reminded Conan that Kanna and some of the others weren't familiar with the concept. Haibara, on the other hand, took the opportunity to explain.
"Interest classes aren't mandatory, but schools and parents usually encourage students to participate. They're meant to help children develop hobbies or skills."
In Japan, interest classes differ slightly from those in other countries. While other Asian countries often focus on academic training, elementary schools in Japan emphasize nurturing children's interests. By junior high school, these interests often translate into joining clubs.
Unlike purely academic training, interest classes are more about exploring hobbies—and it's generally better to participate than not. After all, as the saying goes, 'interest is the best teacher'.
Hearing Haibara's explanation, the non-human members of the group exchanged glances, intrigued.
Before the discussion could continue, the school bell rang, signaling the end of the day. The group dispersed, though it was clear that the idea of interest classes stayed on their minds.
That evening, as they returned to Alexander's house, the topic lingered.
---
"Welcome back, everyone! Wash your hands and get ready for dinner," Alexander greeted them warmly.
But instead of their usual cheerfulness, the group seemed distracted. Alexander raised an eyebrow.
"Hello? What's wrong with you all? Did someone bully you?"
Of course, Alexander was joking. Who could possibly bully this group of extraordinary little girls? It was more likely the other way around. Even so, the others in the house glanced at the group curiously.
Kanna ran over to Alexander, tugging on his sleeve. "Oni-chan, Ayumi and the others were talking about signing up for interest classes today, but we don't know what to choose."
Alexander chuckled at her innocent explanation. "Interest classes? That's what's bothering you? Just sign up for whatever you like."
To him, the issue seemed trivial, but the group appeared to take it very seriously.
"Hmph," Remilia scoffed. "I like having type B blood. Is there an interest class for that?"
Alexander sweatdropped. "Uh... maybe a cooking class? I'm pretty confident I can teach you."
Erina chimed in enthusiastically. "Yes! Cooking classes are perfect. After all, I'll be the commander-in-chief of Totsuki Academy one day, and I'm already a top chef."
But Remilia shook her head firmly. "No need. I have Sakuya for that."
Sakuya Izayoi, standing dutifully nearby, nodded. "As a perfect maid, allowing my master to cook would be an insult to my role."
Erina's smile twitched as she heard their exchange.
"You bourgeois elites are too much!"
Wait—did Erina just say that? Isn't her family bourgeois too?
