Chapter 11 - Chapter 2: Verse IV

VERSE IV

A striking atmosphere, grim and sullen.

It was without doubt, the cause of the rupture of evil.

Something sinister to repluse even nature, as the soil broke open turning into molten liquid.

Something like the presence of purgatory, that was the aura she exhumed.

Did she know it?. No! Kato wasn't sure she knew.

He couldn't move, not that he didn't want to but he couldn't.

Was it because of this small body?. He shook off that thought.

Is this the power a gifted holds?. No, he renounced it.

A gifted has the ability to communicate with Gods and Devils, but now this particular spirituality. This spiritual power that she is emanating, it repelled divinity.

Was it a devil's power?. No!. He scolded himself.

Devils are inferior to divinity, even he when he was in the realm of judgement.

The pit of torment he was in subjected itself to the god and the angels that sang.

Divinity itself is superior, so what is this grim power?

..

Yuki was in pain, a burning sensation surged through her with the feel of melted bones.

What is this? Did this power surge from her emotions?.

She couldn't see, nor speak. The cackles and roar of the fire enclosed her hearing.

Her heart overwhelming her in fear.

What happened?. Was she taken over by her emotions?. This power spurred irrational of her well being.

She felt tainted and heavy. All she wants is just to protect her brother, kill the gods whom had enslaved him.

But now, even with this power she had confided in. It seemed to judge her, a profound sinful presence had plagued her and it seemed, this had become her nature.

According to the texts she had read,

" In the beginning, there was chaos in the upper realm.…."

She tried to revise the texts.

The thought that caused her worry, was the truth that she had sinned.

True, it's what she decided but this fire that seemed to consume her flesh was heavy.

As heavy as the winged devil she had killed before finding the cave and laying Kato down.

If she had sinned, then there is nothing she can do anymore.

Even though she had accepted it, she was scared. She isn't like her brother Kato, she is still a nine year old child.

She loves her brother but she had made the wrong choices in a spur?.

Is it wrong to sacrifice herself for her brother? Her brother hath done same, and she doing this has put his slavery invane.

Stupidly enough, yes she realized that.

But there was hope now, hope to free her brother from his slavery. So she would taken it upon herself.

A power that repels divine, is a sin to divine and existence.

It was said in the texts that a being of malevolence had claimed the throne of "The One," and the breath of existence given upon mortals.

No!. She doesn't want to question. She never had. She was torn between believing the text or question it for answers. Questioning what is written meant incurring greater sin, incurring what is beyond her.

But this power had already incurred upon her a sin with an absolute weight, so why is she scared to add upon a little insignificant pebble of wrong upon it.

If the text is correct, and "The One" is dead, if there is even something called "The One", why is it so that this malevolent being had not eaten up the breath of Existence.

If it has claimed the throne, it should be omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent as said in the texts.

So why does it let the power meant to kill it, the breath of Existence multiply in the hands of mortals, with its essence of its being in jeopardy and despair.

Gods are helping mortals utilize this so called breath of existence, does it not know it?.

As that question was finished, the flames upon her body burned immensely.

Shimmering as if , an affirmation to her questions, and calling what was written, a lie!.

The truth, she had to beckon on herself and this newfound power to find the truth...

If she does it, it should set her free right?. Yes, it should.

She would reveal to herself, what is hidden. The real hidden truth about her home realm, Eidengard.

Yes, she now has another main goal. A path to walk whilst freeing her brother from slavery.

This truth would help Kato very much if she knows it, he would know how to live on without her and gain redemption.

She couldn't help but laugh, but her laughter was chilling cackle.

The fire brimming in its own glory, melted the mouth of the young girl in it, expanding the length of her mouth to height of her cheekbones.

Exposing her teethless gums which were so because of her age, which burst open. Blood pouring unto her tongue and face as waterfalls did cascade upon rocks.

Thus, there wa great pain. She held her mouth as her chin and facial structure began to break, rupturing her bones and searing agony through her.

Is this a price to pay for her blasphemy against the divine?.

Her face being reconstructed, she wailed , the sound ending in her throat as her head ached.

And teeth grew forth, black and inhumane, having sharp edges all totalling to forty five.

An amount unusual for even an adult human.

The aftermath of her reconstruction, she kept standing admist the pains.

She has no idea how she looks now, after all she has grown and extra pair of arms when she razed the whole valley to flames.

She could feel it and even use it, but this new pair was much slender and long.

Her thoughts were scrambled, as she tried to recall why she even razed the valley to flames.

A presence was before her, with a demeanor that exuded prey and fear.

It had something that can be eaten at the same time, it felt like her.

She couldn't see, she was blinded by this power.

Maybe that's it's symbolism, as sin blinds the eyes of those that commit it.

To think she that admired and has so much knowledge about righteousness and justice, was the exact opposite of it now.

The texts had been deemed a lie, but she can't tell Kato now.

Else he would wish to find the truth himself, she would keep it.

Only she must know the texts are wrong. Only she must know and bear the consequences of the truth.

She won't draw her brother into it, just the same way he didn't when he began serving the enemy of Existence,

Even though he knows not.
