Chapter 429 - Chapter 429

The moment Garp said those words, the expressions of the Five Elders twisted spectacularly. Sengoku's face wasn't looking too great either.

This was their territory—the domain of the Five Elders!

Without their permission, no one could just come and go as they pleased.

Yet Garp acted like he was in his own home, leaving when he wanted, staying when he pleased.

It was pure, blatant disrespect.

"Garp! Don't you think you owe us an explanation?"

Saint Saturn's patience had clearly run out, his body now emitting a strange, unsettling aura.

"Explanation? Sure. Here it is—I'm wasting time reporting nonsense to you while the three Admirals are locked in a fierce battle with the Siren Heads and getting pushed back."

But Garp just shrugged with a careless look on his face.

"Garp! What the hell are you doing?!"

Sengoku paled instantly and tried to stop him.

But Garp turned away, unfazed.

"So yeah, I'm done talking. I'm leaving. Bye. If something comes up, call me. Don't summon me here again."

Garp waved casually, picking his nose while striding boldly toward the door.

"Wait! The Five Elders haven't given permission for you to leave!"

The guards immediately moved to block him.

But with just a single sharp glare from Garp—

The guard froze on the spot, drenched in cold sweat, body tensed in terror.

Garp simply walked out like nothing had happened.

Watching Garp walk away so nonchalantly, Sengoku's expression darkened.

He glanced at the Five Elders—who didn't look any better—and could only sigh.

"Um... Apologies, my Lords. I'll talk to Garp."

He bowed politely, then quickly ran after him.

Despite his respectful tone, his actions revealed that he wasn't so different from Garp.

Once Sengoku was gone, the room remained silent for a long while before anyone spoke.

"Does Garp really think he can look down on us? Who the hell does he think he is?"

Saint Nasujuro was livid.

"Exactly. Just because he has public support and is hailed as a hero, he thinks he can act recklessly in front of us?"

Saint Mars added coldly.

"There's definitely something going on with those two. For them to openly defy our authority—they must believe they're powerful enough to ignore us. Fools!"

Saint Vochuli's words dripped with murderous intent—he looked like he wanted to kill Garp and Sengoku on the spot.

"Should we act now? Taking direct action would hurt the Navy's morale. Garp is still a valuable combat asset—and he's clearly hiding something important."

Saint Peter looked to the others for their input.

"We don't need disobedient dogs."

Saint Saturn gave his view without hesitation.

"The Navy's strength is only surface-level. As long as our trump cards remain, morale can be handled through other means.

Our authority must not be challenged."

His voice turned deadly. The killing intent became nearly tangible.

"Start investigating the people around them—see who knows what. Begin preparing to eliminate Garp. Sengoku can be kept—depending on whether he behaves."

"Kill Garp? I doubt anyone can pull that off."

Saint Mars found the idea absurd. Everyone here knew how strong Garp truly was.

"If necessary, we'll use that weapon. Lord Imu will likely approve. And didn't Vegapunk have some breakthroughs recently? We can use this chance to run a test."

Saturn's tone made it clear—nothing would sway his intent to eliminate Garp.

The others stayed silent, tacitly agreeing.

Outside—

"GARP! YOU IDIOT!"

Sengoku stormed over and smacked Garp on the head.

"What the hell, Sengoku? I just saved your butt. You didn't want to keep standing around those old fossils either, right?"

Garp rubbed his head with an aggrieved expression.

"Save me my ass! Don't give me that crap! What the hell were you thinking?! You blatantly disrespected the Five Elders! Do you have any idea how serious this is?!"

Sengoku was livid, shouting while jabbing his finger at Garp's face.

"Serious? Really?"

Garp just looked confused.

"You moron! You just challenged the highest authority in the world! You think they'll just let this go?!"

Sengoku grabbed Garp by the collar, face inches away as he roared.

"Let it go? Perfect. Isn't that just the opportunity we've been waiting for?"

Garp, however, smiled like he had everything under control.

"Sengoku, we're already strong enough now. I've fully mastered the Iron Fist of the Bull and combined it with the power of the Ox Talisman. There's no one left in this world who can match me."

"And you—your new Light power—do you really think even a Yonko could take you down now? Don't you want to do something with that strength?"

Garp slowly released Sengoku's collar.

Then he slung an arm over Sengoku's shoulder and leaned close to whisper in his ear.

"Between the two of us, plus the three Admirals, we've got the power to stand against the World Government.

Do you really want to keep working for those disgusting Celestial Dragons?"

His tone grew colder. There was murder in it.

The truth was clear—

The World Government existed only to serve the Celestial Dragons, monopolizing technology and military might to dominate the nations of the world.

If you weren't part of their alliance, your country wasn't considered human. They'd kill you without a second thought.

Even the countries that did join weren't much better off.

To pay the Heavenly Tribute, many were forced into war and plunder just to gather resources—leaving their people homeless and destitute.

This system only created more pirates and criminals.

In a way, the World Government itself was fueling piracy.

That's why Garp had never cared for them.

If not for the Navy's budget coming from them, and his inability to act independently—he'd have rebelled long ago.

But now—now he had the strength.

"You fool. You think I don't understand?

But have you thought about the consequences? You can't solve everything with brute strength. There are too many variables. Too many problems."

Sengoku knew exactly what Garp was suggesting.

But a direct confrontation with the World Government would cause chaos on every level.

It could spiral into something much worse.

So Sengoku wanted to wait—for the right moment.

"And when would that be? Sooner or later, we'll have to face it.

Besides, you're the brains. I'm not good with complicated stuff anyway."

Garp grinned.
