In the chase, Hugo was riding on the other lane where the driver's seat was positioned. That way, the guy riding shotgun — Shawn — wouldn't be able to shoot him. Unless Shawn crawled out of that window, then the men behind Hugo wouldn't hesitate to take him out.
'How… am I going to take her out of there?' he wondered to himself, his mind running faster than his vehicle. After all, catching them shouldn't be hard.
What made this all too complicated was that Penny was unconscious inside. If she weren't, it would be easier, because she would be able to deal with those guys.
"Damn it!" he hissed, only to hear a rotor coming from above. Even before Hugo looked up, a strobe light already flashed on the black sedan he had been tailing.
It was a chopper.
