Chapter 34 - age old struggle- 2

Mairon's armour was heating up, and slowly the temperature reached the melting point of normal steel.

If they were not reinforced with black script, they would have melted of his body.

As the floor crumbled underneath his heel his gloved hands hold his mace, his eyes flickering with mirth seeing his old adversary in a compromising position.

Upon closing in, the heat gets to him.

The flame seeps trough his enchantments licking at his skin.

But they are mere scrapes, he pushes trough.

Swinging at Gandalf his mace traces trough the air crashing into the bellows.

Gandalf still channeling the fire, loses his footing before falling down as the great bellows collapse.

"Impressive Olórin, apparently I wasn't the only one improving during this time."

Gandalf beaten and bloodied lay in the ruins of the once great bellows.

Sauron had long since outclassed him, and he is utterly powerless in his mortal form while Sauron is unshackled.

Mairon stretched out is gauntlet graping Gandalf by the nape.

"Kill me if you wish dark servant but my spirit remains unbroken." Spoke Gandalf.

'this should have created more than enough time for her to escape.'

"Olórin you remain so dramatic."

"This whole fight was unnecessary."

Mairon's glowing eyes fell on Gandalf.

"Come brother let us talk at some more convient location."

Mairon moved with a grace a giant humanoid should not possess dragging a struggling Gandalf behind him.

As he walks outside his forge he sees Vysesa standing outside the door fidgeting her fingers while looking down nervously.

"Come Vysesa, we will get your mother and have a talk with a old friend."

"..." She stays silent still staring down.

"I am sorry daddy I should not have brought the gandpa."

He was nice to me and wanted to see my parents but he brought problems to you."

"I am sorry."

Mairon let out a sigh before kneeling down beside her.

"You did nothing wrong, in fact if you encounter strange men, you should always run towards my men or your mother."

"Come let's go."

Gandalf saw this all play out, losing the last shred of hope.

The girl he tried to safe turned out to be the prodigy of the great darkness.

Spending the last shred of energy Gandalf falls unconscious.

---------

In a lavishly decorated tone room a old man was sitting on a Roman style couch.

In front of him lay Mairon in a Valyrian style toga.

Staring down Gandalf.

The silence was going on for minutes now.

Messenia was sitting beside Mairon while feeding him grapes.

*Crunch*crunch*

"Alright Sauron what are you doing."

"Just trying to get my life in order really something almost every body tries."

"And once again I ho by Mairon again."

Gandalf stares in his eyes before giving a small nod.

"That is not what I mean and you know it."

"What are your plans for middle earth."

"I don't really have any, the age has turned and the melody changed."

"The age of elves and immortal creatures is over."

"Middle earth does not welcome our kind any more."

"What use has middle earth for me If I can't stay here."

"Then why have you been capturing creatures from all over middle earth."

"Building a army and restoring Moria."

"You should have left middle earth after your defeat."

"And you should not have been restored like you are now."

Gandalf eyed his fellow Maiar now more powerful than ever.

Beside him sat a woman of uncertain lineage.

She did not seem to have the blood of elves flowing in her veins.

More of that of a fire dragon.

Likely not a offshoot of the Numenorean's,

But a previously unknown race of people.

Maybe a experiment of Morgoth.

Or a tribe in the south of middle earth.

"Well Olórin I have no problem answering those questions."

"I did leave middle earth, I fled to Angband."

"For the second question, it's even simpler."

"Father forgave me and restored me to how I used to be."

"But i am still not fully certain on what propose he did this."

"But i assume I will get to hear that soon enough."

Gandalf fell into contemplation, the last time he had seen their father was after his fight with Fedorron also Known as durin's bane.

He could not imagine their fathers plans.

But the power to restore Mairon in full is far beyond the capabilities of the Valar.

In fact he is the only one with power to restore them.

"Alright I will trust you for now Mairon, but I will need time to communicate with our father so that you may be free from suspicion."

"Not a problem Gandalf I have returned to our father and will do his will."

"But I will never bow before the Valar!!"

Fury marked his face at once.

Gandalf was taken aback by this outburst feeling the immense power behind Mairon's words.

"But what of the people of middle earth that you kidnapped from their homes?"

"A nessesary movement, they shall be well compensated after their work is done."

"This topic is not closed yet Mairon but I will leave it for now but ensure they are not hurt during their stay here."

Gandalf held Mairon's gaze.

He was aware that he was powerless here.

He would agree of now observe this operation and judge Saurons true purpose.
