From that day on, Tenten always comes to train with Zoro every day. She likes it because it feels like she has a private tutor. Guy needs to teach the 3 of them at once, so no one can get a personal lesson all day long.
Zoro isn't someone from Konoha, but he doesn't mind teaching Tenten a lot of things. Most of the things he teaches are not secrets anyway because they are things that most experienced shinobi know, but Tenten is still a newbie, so she doesn't know a lot of things yet.
Besides, Zoro mostly just points out Tenten's mistakes and how to improve them. He doesn't teach her his secret skills or things like those. She isn't his real student and she isn't even a swordsman, so he can't teach them those.
What Zoro teaches her is mostly coming from his experience. He has fought many people who have different fighting styles and use different weapons. His opponents are mostly strong individuals, so they have better skills than the current Tenten.
He teaches them things he saw from those people and what he personally thinks about them. Even if he is a swordsman, his vast experience can help him find the problems of other weapons' wielding, and he relies on that to teach Tenten.
Other than skills, he also teaches her some basic strategies against different types of opponents. Things like what she must do when she can't get closer to her opponents, when her opponents can block all of her attacks, when the opponents are too powerful, etc.
He even teaches her to use basic ninjutsu along with her bukijutsu. She surely can use basic academy jutsu, but somehow she never uses them when training with him. So he tells her to use them because they are useful to support her attacks in some situations.
Tenten actually improves quite fast, which really pleases Zoro. Though maybe she can't be the best in the Chuunin Exam, she surely can get a good rank as long as she doesn't face someone much too strong for her in the early round.
Then, a week before the Chuunin Exam, another team actually comes to Zoro's training spot. It's Kurenai's team that also asks for some pointers. Guy told Kurenai to ask for Zoro's help while he is here because she has difficulty training her team members.
"Hmm, then let's do it like what I did with Guy's team. The 3 of you, come attack me together so I can see your skills. Kurenai, you watch from the side with Tenten. Try to see what your team needs to improve."
"Alright."
Kurenai moves away from there with Tenten who is also curious how Shino, Kiba, and Hinata will fight Zoro. She knows they won't win, but she is curious about what Zoro will think of them.
"Alright, come!" Zoro tells them to start and they immediately start their attack.
Shino immediately releases a lot of his bugs and commands them to attack Zoro. Kiba crouches on all 4 limbs and surrounds his body with chakra. His appearance starts to look more like a beast now.
Meanwhile, Hinata is activating her byakugan and gets into a fighting stance. But she doesn't charge forward and stays at the back. Zoro guesses that she takes the role of the support and observes the situation first.
Kiba is the first to reach Zoro. He can move fast and is actually faster than Shino's bugs. So he starts attacking Zoro at high speed and his attacks are like a beast.
He uses his sharp claws and jumping ability to attack Zoro from all sides. But Zoro can easily dodge all of Kiba's attacks and he also dodges them narrowly, just like when he fought Guy's team.
But then, an attack that is hard to dodge comes from Shino. His insects surround Zoro and quickly fly toward him. They land on Zoro and he actually doesn't even try to prevent it. He lets them land on him to see what they can do.
Now Zoro is covered by insects, making him look like a censored character on TV. The insects start doing their job, eating Zoro's chakra even though they don't even bite his skin. It's a strange sensation of being sucked from all over his body.
Zoro now quite understands how Aburame clan's insects work. Now he needs to push them away from his body because it feels quite disgusting. He flexes his muscles as strong as he can and it actually creates a small shockwave that pushes away all the insects on his body.
"W-what?! What does he do to push them all like that?" Kiba who has gotten smug after seeing Zoro can't even stop Shino's insects is getting surprised now.
"I don't know. The insects suddenly got pushed away by strong force." Shino is also confused.
"T-that.... H-he, the muscles all over his body suddenly tensed up a-and it created a shock that repelled the insects." Hinata explained it with a disbelieved tone.
"..... What?!" Kiba and Shino are also shocked.
Tenten's jaw also drops because she never knows that someone can do something like that. Even Kurenai who has known how ridiculous Zoro's power is also can't help but get surprised as it is the first time she sees something like this.
They can understand if he uses ninjutsu to create that effect. But he simply tenses up his muscles and it's enough to create a shock strong enough to repel Shino's insects. They never know a human's body can do something like that.
"Hmm, chakra eating insects, interesting. It's the first time I fight someone from the Aburame clan, so I'm really curious about your insects' abilities. Now, are you going to attack again or have you given up?" Zoro smirks while looking at the genins.
Kiba gets taunted very easily and he quickly calls his dog, Akamaru. The little dog transforms into Kiba and then both of them jump while rotating their bodies. They rotate their bodies at a very high speed and move around to hit Zoro with their rotations.
But Zoro dodges their rapid rotating body blow with ease even though they are very fast. He dodges them narrowly with minimal movements. They can't hit him and only the ground is destroyed by their continuous extreme rotating body blows.
Suddenly, Shino's insects wrap around Zoro's legs to stop his movements. Now he can't step away to dodge Kiba's attacks and he finally gets hit. Shino reads the situation really well and gives the correct support.
However, instead of being happy for finally being able to hit Zoro, they are getting surprised instead. They expect Kiba's attack to throw Zoro away, but instead, it's Kiba and Akamaru that get thrown off.
To be precise, they get bounced off after hitting Zoro. When their attack hits him, it feels like they are slamming onto a very thick and hard steel wall. They can't even push him and instead get pushed back.
"Ah! My clothes." Zoro's upper clothes are torn by Kiba's attack, revealing the weight strap on his chest.
"Oi, Kurenai!"
"I know, I'll compensate for the damage."
"Fine then. Good thing I don't wear my favorite clothes."
Compensating for Zoro's clothes is the last thing that Kurenai is worried about. Kiba and Akamaru are now lying unconsciously on the ground with big bumps on their heads. Zoro didn't even do anything and they are already knocked out just because they hit his body.
"I don't know that you wear armor." Kurenai thinks that the weight strap on Zoro's body is a vest armor.
"What are you saying? This is just a weight strap I wear everywhere. It's not even that hard, just heavy. I have 1 on each limb too." Zoro shows the weight straps on his hands and feet to them.
"You wear them everywhere?" She has known Zoro for years, but this is the first time she knows about this.
"Yeah, to make sure I am still training even in my sleep."
Now Kurenai understands how he can get his ridiculous strength that even Guy or Tsunade can't match.
"How much weight are you wearing?" Tenten is very curious about it.
"25 for daily use. Need to make sure my activities aren't disturbed by the weights."
"Eh? Just 25 kilos? I thought it would be more." Tenten is disappointed, but Kurenai sighs at her naive thinking.
"Tenten, do you think he will use less weight than Guy? What scale does Guy's weight straps weigh at?"
"Hmm? I think it's in to-..... What?! No way! He carries 25 tons of weights everywhere?" Tenten's eyes are wide open and so are Hinata's and Shino's. Kiba and Akamaru are unconscious, so they can't hear anything.
Zoro looks at them smugly. "Be amazed, kids."
