Chapter 371 - Chapter 368 : Invitation from the Secret Order!!

"Hybrid?!"

Xia Mi's eyes widened, as if in disbelief. "Are you sure you're not joking? This is Chicago, the headquarters of Cassell College. Who would come here to cause trouble?"

"Naturally, it's a madman."

Lu Mingfei looked at the figures carefully approaching them through the crowd, a cold smirk appearing at the corner of his mouth.

He had to admit, these people were terrible at hiding their presence. If they were on that planet, they probably wouldn't last even half a minute.

"So what do we do now?!"

Xia Mi, nervously scanning the crowd for suspicious people, asked, "Why can't I find them? Are you sure you didn't make a mistake?"

"Tell Norma to evacuate the crowd, quickly."

Lu Mingfei slowly set down the two suitcases, then took off the black box from his back.

The heavy thud when it hit the ground suggested what was inside wasn't light. He spoke in a calm tone, "Or, tell Norma to have the Execution Bureau prepare for the aftermath."

As he spoke, Xia Mi finally spotted the "suspicious people"—four men with different builds and skin tones, some black, some white, looking completely unrelated, silently surrounding them.

"Hello, Mr. Lu Mingfei, Ms. Xia Mi."

One of the men, a 2-meter-tall, muscular white man wearing a tank top, walked up to them. He bowed politely and spoke fluent Chinese. "We represent the 'Secret Orderr' and invite both of you to meet with our leader, the 'Tyrant.' We kindly ask you not to refuse."

In the bustling Chicago train station, the four men with different builds and skin tones—black and white—surrounded Lu Mingfei and Xia Mi.

Although they were "surrounding" them, the four men were acting cautiously. They clearly didn't trust Lu Mingfei and Xia Mi.

The distance between them was at least four or five meters.

Only the blond-haired white man moved forward to talk, while the others remained alert, one hand discreetly hidden behind their backs, clearly ready for a counterattack.

"Secret Order? Sorry, I've never heard of it."

Lu Mingfei, holding the black box with one hand, said flatly, "As for the so-called tyrant you mentioned, I'm even less interested. If there's nothing else, please don't bother us. It's my first day at school, and I don't want to be late. Thank you."

In contrast to his calm reaction, Xia Mi seemed much more nervous, afraid that a fight would break out in such a crowded place.

"Mr. Lu Mingfei, we are inviting you very sincerely."

After being directly rejected, the blonde-haired, white man's expression turned cold. A hint of threat slipped into his tone: "And I suggest you think carefully before you answer."

As soon as he finished speaking, the remaining three people silently drew out metal batons from their waists, and the atmosphere immediately grew tense.

"Well, uh, this gentleman?" Xia Mi, sensing the situation was getting worse, immediately stepped forward to mediate. She forced a smile and waved her hand.

"I know you're in a hurry, but today is Mr. Lu Mingfei's first day at school, and both the professors and the principal of Cassell College are waiting for him, so… how about another day?"

She hoped to avoid the worst-case scenario, so she brought up Principal Anjie of Cassell College.

After all, in the world of Hybrids, Hilbert had some deterrent power. Now, Xia Mi could only hope these people would back down.

"Hilbert Ron Anjou will soon become a thing of the past."

The blonde-haired man also pulled out a metal baton, engraved with intricate, mysterious symbols, which was not in any known language:

"This is your last chance. There's an old saying in the Eastern countries: 'Those who know when to yield are wise.' So, Mr. Lu Mingfei, Miss Xia Mi, now please tell me your answer."

Lu Mingfei, holding the black box, tilted his head slightly and sized up the white man: "I, Lu Mingfei, love telling self-righteous people NO!"

"Norma, Lu Mingfei and I are under attack by enemies calling themselves the 'Secret Order' at Chicago train station. There are four enemies. Requesting backup!" Xia Mi quickly reacted, decisively dialing her phone, and reported the situation in full.

"Attack? Secret Order?"

Norma immediately made a judgment after receiving the message: "Please hold on, reinforcements will arrive soon, there's also more intel."

Zzzzt!!!

The harsh sound of electricity buzzed through the control room.

"What's going on? Norma!" Schneider, who had been in the control room, immediately walked over after hearing the noise and asked.

"New student Lu Mingfei, and first-year Xia Mi, were attacked at the Chicago train station. The attackers claim to be members of the 'Secret Order,' there are four of them." Norma explained everything.

"How dare they attack our people at the Chicago train station?!"

Schneider was furious, slamming his hand on the table, standing up angrily. "Lock onto their location, I'll have the nearby execution team send support!"

"Professor Schneider, there's something I need to tell you."

Norma spoke grimly. "Just now, after Xia Mi sent the distress signal, their signals completely disappeared."

"Completely... disappeared?!" Schneider froze for a moment, then quickly said, "Impossible, how could they disappear? Did the enemy use a jamming device?"

"I don't think so."

Norma hacked into the Chicago train station's surveillance system and played back the footage.

In the footage, Lu Mingfei and Xia Mi were surrounded by four people. They seemed to be talking about something.

Soon, a blonde white man with an angry expression took a metal short rod from his pocket, and the other three did the same.

It was like they had coordinated, forcefully smashing the rods into the ground.

There was a brief pause of one-thousandth of a second in the footage, and then all four, along with Lu Mingfei and Xia Mi, completely vanished.

Schneider's eyes widened instantly, his pupils trembling as he stared at the screen. "Nibelungen?!"

The only possibility that could instantly make someone disappear from a space was the alchemy domain Nibelungen.

"The probability of Nibelungen is 99%," Norma gave her assessment.

"Report this to the principal immediately." Schneider couldn't sit still, speaking in a low tone, "To create Nibelungen, the enemy must be at least 'Dragon King' level. Someone has set their sights on our S-Rank member, and ordinary Execution Bureau members won't be able to handle it. Is there anyone nearby?"

"Finger," Norma replied.

"No other option, then. Tell Finger to hurry."

Schneider's brow furrowed. The name made him uneasy, but he sighed and said, "In the meantime, evacuate the crowd at Chicago train station. I'll go find the principal. A 'Dragon King' level enemy appearing at Chicago station... we have to take this seriously."

"We're already making arrangements, but... how do we breach the Nibelungen domain?"

Norma asked the crucial question.

"Maybe... there's one person who can do it."

Schneider crossed his hands under his chin, his gaze darkening as he clearly thought of the best person for the task.

"Chu Zihang?"

Norma guessed the person.

"Exactly, Chu Zihang!" Schneider spoke in a serious tone. "Nibelungen, at its core, is an extension of alchemy.

Chu Zihang's Draconization is profound, almost comparable to a second-generation species. If we have him use Norton's 'Dragonbone Cross,' he might be the key to breaking through the 'Dragon King' Nibelungen!"

"Professor Schneider, I need to remind you of something," Norma paused before continuing, "Norton's Dragonbone Cross... it's impossible to borrow unless the principal agrees."

"I'll go talk to the principal. You stay on top of the station situation."

Schneider immediately stood, took a couple of steps, then turned back and said, "Hurry up and prod that lazy dog, tell him there's points involved."
