Chapter 59 - IX- Wheel of Fortune

Chapter 9: IX- Wheel of Fortune Summary:

The Wheel of Fortune

On this card is depicted a large wooden chalice with fire blooming from the top, it stands on a stage before a gathering of shadowy figures with a boy in a silver jacket standing out among them. Behind the chalice, seemingly being formed from smoke from the fire, is an eight-spoke wheel, and inside the spaces in between the spokes flickering images appear.

A girl with blonde hair in green robes holding a cup.

An upside-down castle covered in shadows.

A roaring dragon in a cage.

A pair of amber cat eyes.

A silver sword crosses a bronze one.

A figure in silver armor with a thin sword and wand.

A bubbling cauldron full of blood.

A pair of Fathomless Black Eyes.

Notes:

Welcome back to The Heir and The Champions, we're so close to the final two pieces and I'm so excited.

But here we go folks, the first move is about to be made.

On with the show!

Harry Potter, the Great Hall, Hogwarts, October 31st.

Harry Potter wasn't having the best of times at the Halloween feast, his forehead was down on the table with his arms wrapped around his head, trying to block out all the noise and light, and it felt like icepicks were trying to drive their way out from the inside of his skull on top of the emotionally draining day he had spent in Godric's Hollow. The Aurors had shown up but as soon as Dora, The tall dark-skinned one name Kingsley, and the twins named Breekon and Hope saw it was Harry Potter and Sirius Black looting a national landmark, the four Aurors quickly decided to kick Sirius from the house but Kingsley had told Harry to take all the time he needed. So, Harry had gathered all the things Sirius had collected along with the things he wanted and left, not wanting to bother the Aurors any longer than he had to.

When he had gotten outside, one of the twins pointed out the Auror robes, which were apparently illegal to own if one wasn't an Auror, Kingsley, who seemed to be in charge of the group took one look at the box of belongings and memories with the robes sitting on top, before turning back to the twin before asking "What Auror robes?" and that was that, they warned Sirius not to do it again and had let them go. Remus had watched all this from the sidelines with a smirk on his face, sending Harry a wink as Dore tore into Sirius verbally about doing things like this and dragging Harry in with him.

They left soon after, shrinking down the box as Harry tucked the robes under his arm and slid his mom's wand into his wrist holster next to his before they returned to Hogwarts. They stop only briefly outside the main gate so Harry could collect the things he found in the safe and explain what all it was to the two men before handing them their letters. Harry went on to deliver the letter to McGonagall, Flitwick, Dumbledore, and Snape. He only had the letters to Frank and Alice, Aunt Petunia, and a guy named Slughorn(it was stuck to the back of Dumbledore's letter the first time he went through them) left to deliver. He put them aside to get to the feast, which is the reason for his current headache, too many people talking loud and excitingly about what was to come at the end, Harry had lost his appetite not even ten minutes into the feast with all the loud noises, all he wanted was to get back to Gryffindor Tower and crawl into bed. Harry was debating if he should stop by the Hospital Wing to ask for a headache potion, they weren't worse than a nosebleed so hopefully Madam Pomfrey doesn't stick him to a bed.

But soon enough, the lights in the hall dim and it grows quiet, to which Harry sighs in relief. He hears Dumbledore make a speech about how it was time to choose the champions to compete for eternal glory and a thousand Galleon grand prize.

"And the Champion for Durmstang is…Viktor Krum!" Dumbledore calls out before the hall roars in cheers and applause from the gathered students before it once again lulls into quiet, "Now, for the Champion of Beauxbatons," The Headmaster says before something in the hall flares up again, "Is…Fleur Delacour!" he says as once again Harry flinches at the volume of the cheering, with the memory of seeing Hermione's grim face as he walked into the common room when he had returned from Godric's Hollow.

"Harry," Hermione had called out to him, her face was a bit pale as she held a large old tome in her lap, her eyes filled with fear, "The girl and her sister, I found out what they are," she tells him as Harry walks over, Ron was across from her laying back on one of the couches looking relaxed.

"Don't know why you're so worried, Hermione," Ron said with a shrug, "It's not that bad," he had said as Hermione turned to him with a glare before turning back to Harry.

"The reason I couldn't find much about the Veela is that that's what the British Wixen term for them is, but in Bulgaria, they're called Vila," Hermione tells him, "Harry, They're Fae," she tells him, and Harry blinks, waiting for the punchline to the joke, but it doesn't come.

"You're joking, right?" Harry asks, not wanting to believe it, but as Hermione shakes her head, a pit forms in Harry's stomach, "You mean like the Fair Folk, Fairies, the dwellers in the mounds, those Fae?" Harry asks as he sinks into a chair next to Hermione.

"The Sidhe, the Aos Sí, the Vila, they go by different names depending on where you are in the world but they all speak of the same thing," Hermione says as she passes him the book, it was open to a page depicting an androgynous looking humanoid with pointed ears and fang-like teeth in full armor wielding a sword riding on a great stag with a bundle of severed human heads hanging down from the side, "The People from beyond the Hedge, from the Reverse-Side of the World," She whispers with no little Horror in her voice.

"So What?" Ron asks, looking over at the two, "We've had Fae running around for forever, it's not really a big deal," he says as if this was a normal thing, but for the two who were raised in the Muggle world, Fae was just a story, something to tell your children to make them behave or go to bed on time with the threat of if they don't the Fair Folk would take them away forever, Hermione decides to share this with Ron.

"Ronald, I am not talking about Bowtruckles, Brownies, or House-elves!" Hermione snaps at their friend, "I'm talking about the courts of the high fae, led by beings of such power they warp reality around them by just being around, creatures that would steal babies to feed on and leave a changeling in its place to slaughter the family they stole from because they found it funny, they're the reason Evocation was outlawed across the world in 1368 by the ICW," Hermione says with a hard edge to her voice, "The Vila are said to be the hunters and warriors of the high courts, like what Harry…'' She trails off looking at Harry, and Harry knows what she meant, like him, like a demigod, like a Hunter of Artemis.

"Angelina Johnson!" The Headmaster calls out, and the Great Hall explodes into cheers and applause for the now-chosen Hogwarts Champion, Even Harry picks his head off the table to cheer a bit for her. When it starts to die down, Harry places his head back on the table, finally deciding to stop by to see Madam Pomfrey to get a headache draft from her so he doesn't have a hard time sleeping tonight.

"Harry Potter!"

Harry hoped he wouldn't have any nightmares tonight, today was emotional enough without waking up screaming from the old memories that bled into Demigod's dreams, "Which were bad enough to be honest. Maybe I can talk Madam Pomfrey into a Dreamless Sleep potion as well," Harry thinks to himself.

"Harry! POTTER!" The headmaster's voice echoed throughout the Great Hall as Harry picked his head up to look around, everyone was looking at him in shock, questions in their eyes. Hermione's face was gray, eyes wide with horror as Ron was glaring at him.

"What?" Harry asks, his brow scrunched in confusion.

"Harry!" The Headmaster calls and Harry turns his head to look at him, he was standing in front of the Goblet of Fire as the flame was dying down, dressed in midnight blue robes with shooting stars on them, holding a piece of parchment.

"No," Harry thinks to himself, his breathing coming on faster, "No, No, Nonononononono, please no," runs over and over in his head, he didn't want to get up, he didn't want to move, he didn't want any part of this.

"Go, Harry," Hermione hisses out at him, "Just, ..Go," she says angrily, betrayal and pain dancing in her eyes as Harry slowly stands from the bench, his hands and arms shaking as he walks forward, everyone in the hall looking at him, he feels their eyes crawling over him like ants on his skin as he feels the Hunt going wild inside his mind. He walks up to the Headmaster who was looking at him with worry, the twinkle in his eye absent for once.

"I-I d-didn't p-p-" Harry tries to say before Dumbledore cuts him off by handing him the piece of paper.

"Through the door, Mister Potter," The Headmaster says, pointing at the door to the side of the Great Hall.

"B-but-" Harry tries again, but is once again cut off.

"Not here, Harry, through the door if you please," Dumbledore says gently as he hands Harry the slip of paper. Harry takes the slip of paper, looking down at it to see his name written in his hand, his breathing becomes shallow as he walks towards the side door, the Great Hall feels like it's tilting as Harry walks over to the door, not a single person in the hall says anything as Harry passes through the door into the stairway beyond. Harry's thoughts were a mess as he walked down the stairs, inspecting the piece of parchment in his hands, cursing everything and everyone he could think of except Artemis for his rotten luck. How did this happen? Who had put his name in? Why had they done it? His thoughts came to an abrupt halt as someone called his name.

"Harry?" Angelina says, sounding confused, and Harry jumps before turning to look at her, she was standing in the middle of the room, looking at him with confusion and concern coloring her face, Krum was toward the back looking at him with a raised brow and a frown on his face. Fleur was looking at him with curious and hungry eyes that flash between blue and yellow-orange showing off her Fae nature in flickers.

Angelina looks between the paper in Harry's and his face before her head tilts back with a groan, "Harry, please tell me that you're just here to tell us they want us in the great hall, please," she begs him while her eyes are shut as she shakes her head.

"N-no, it, m-my name, it-" but as Harry tries to explain what happened just moments ago and Angelina's head drops into her hands and she lets out a sigh of exasperation, the door to the room slams open, and the voice of arguing adults echo in the chamber.

"Where in the rules did it state that the hosting school is allowed two champions!?" Kakaroff yells.

"Wee, thiz iz not what we talked about, Dumdly-door," says Madam Maxime in a hard tone.

"Do not take obvious fowl play out on the Headmaster," Snips Snape at them both.

The group finally entered the room properly, Kakaroff, Madam Maxime, Snape, McGonagall, Ludo Bagman, and some official-looking guy with a hat in hand, all walk behind Dumbledore would has an expression of calm in the middle of the chaos around him as Professor Moody limps in behind them all with a staff in hand. Dumbledore holds up a hand and the group falls quiet as he walks up to Harry, looking the boy in his slitted eyes.

"Harry," Dumbledore says, "Did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?" he asks calmly.

"N-No," Harry says, twitching, he didn't want to be here, he wanted to leave, pretend this didn't happen and it was all a bad dream.

"Did you ask an older student to do it for you?" Dumbledore asks as the other Heads of the two other schools make sounds of disbelief.

"No, I didn't, I swear," Harry says, angrily trying to defend himself.

"He's obviously lying," Kakaroff spits out, looking at Harry like he was something foul he found on the bottom of his shoe, but Dumbledore just nods at Harry, and Harry sighs out in relief at his Headmaster's response.

"I believe him," Dumbledore says evenly, looking from Harry to Kakaroff, who scoffs.

"Oh, of course, you do," Kakaroff says, sneering at Dumbledore, "Do you know what this is, a conspiracy! Give me one good reason why I shouldn't take Viktor and leave right now," He demands angrily to Dumbledore who looks back at the foreign Headmaster unimpressed as both Snape and McGonagall glare at Kakaroff, Personally, Harry thought that the look Krum was giving his Headmaster said something else but him leaving.

"Stop ya barking Igor, and sit down, you bloody fool," Mad-Eye snaps at Kakaroff as he steps off the stairs, "We both know the boy isn't going anywhere, and neither are you without ya golden goose, so zip it," he says as his fake eye spins in his head, and Kakaroff backs up, along a bit "If Albus says the boy isn't lying then I'm one to believe him, what's more, likely what happened is that someone is out for the boy's life and cast one hell of a Confundes Charm on the Goblet of Fire to fool the damn thing into thinking there were four schools," Professor Moody says before he turns to Harry, "Boyo, the slip of paper, what school were you placed under, does it say?" he asks as he limps over to Harry.

Harry quickly looks down at the slip and shakes his head, "N-no, no school, just my name," Harry tells the executor, who nods with a grim look on his face.

"Ay, means someone powerful but sloppy," Mad-Eye mutters, "They confused the Goblet into thinking there were four schools but never gave a name to the fourth," the man limps back over to the group, "Crouch, can the boy drop out?" Professor Moody asks.

The man with the hat and fancy robes pauses, blinking a few times before answering, "No," Crouch says in a voice of finality, "His name came out of the Goblet, he's bound to it and the competition by a binding magical contract, he has to compete," he says looking over to Harry, "If he doesn't then the Goblet will consider it a premature forfeit and will remove his magical core," he says grimly.

The other three champions each make a face at this, Krum becomes a grimmer look, Fleurs' eyebrows shoot up in surprise, and Angelina's face falls in shock.

"Bloody hell," Angeline says in shock, "That's a hell of a forfeit clause, what would happen if any of us got injured and couldn't compete anymore?" she asks, crossing her arms and glaring at Crouch.

"If that is the case then the Goblet will see it as a competitor that is unable to continue and break its contract on its end, it's one of the only ways to get out of the contract without the loss of the one core," Crouch says with a shrug.

"Then, in the name of fair play, we muzt ztart the zelection procezz all over again till each school haz two championz," Madame Maxime says, looming over everyone.

"Impossible," Ludo Bagman says with a shake of his head, "The Goblet has gone out and won't re-light until the next tournament, and if Barty says he has to compete, well, he does know the rules best," he says with a smile, as the foreign Heads of school all glare at him.

"But I don't want to compete, I didn't put my name in, I don't care about this stupid tournament," Harry says through gritted teeth.

Madame Maxime scoffs at him, "Unlike Dumbly-door, I do not believe ou, the prize for the tournament iz one most would kill for," she says looking down at Harry, "A thouzand Galleons and eternal glory, who would not want to compete?" she says with a bit of scorn.

But Harry has had enough, "I didn't enter into your stupid fucking tournament!" he yells as he feels the Hunt begin to pump wildly through him, feeding off his emotions to gain a foothold in his mind, egging him on to Hunt and kill, "I don't need eternal glory, check your fucking history books, I'm in it as the only survivor of the killing curse," he yells causing everyone to turn to him in shock, "I don't need a thousand Galleons, that's not even one-tenth of the gold I have in a fucking vault at Gringotts, so why don't all of you go get fucked!" he yells, feeling his face getting red and his eyes begin to morph before he turns to Dumbledore, "How do I forfeit?" he asks the old Headmaster, much to the surprise of everyone.

"and that would be forty points from Gryffindor for the language, Potter," Snape says blandly for his spot in the shadows.

"Severus," McGonagall snaps at him, "Is now really the time for this?!" she says heatedly, "I think the boy is well in his right to be cursing up a storm over this," she tells him with a glare.

"I wholeheartedly agreed, Minerva," Snape tells her with a bored look on his face, "Which is why it wasn't eighty," he says with a hint of a smirk, "Justification or not, one must keep a civil tongue in their head in mixed company," he says in a slow draw.

"How do I forfeit?" Harry asks again, looking at Dumbledore, who closes his eyes and sighs before pulling out his wand.

"Expecto Patronum" Dumbledore says in a whisper as a silvery Phoenix forms in the room, "To Sirius Black, Harry's name has come out of the Goblet of Fire, Details unknown but he did not enter willingly, my office, thirty minutes," he tells the mythical bird before it takes flight out of the room before he turns back to Harry.

"Harry," the oldest Headmaster says, "If you were of age, I would offer you a week to think this decision over before if you truly felt the need to, show you how to forfeit myself," he says as most people in the room look at him in shock, "But you are not, which leads to a complication if you were the same age as the other fine champions in the room then your magical core would have stabilized and fully matured as it does with most Wixen at the age of seventeen, but if you were to forfeit now, the process would kill you," Dumbledore says grimly and sadly.

"So it's either I compete or I die, that's it?" Harry asks in a growl, and Dumbledore nods sadly.

"I'm afraid so, Harry," Dumbledore says with a sigh.

"Zo," Fleur says, raising from her seat and walking over to Madame Maxime's side, "ze little boy must compete," she then smiles at Harry, and he couldn't help but to notice the set of three sharp fangs in her mouth at her full smile, "My, how exciting," she says coyly.

"I'll show you little boy, you fuc-" Harry says as he starts to move to close the gap between the two, only to be stopped by Angeline and Dumbledore. But Harry wasn't the only one held back, Madame Maxime had reached out and grabbed Fleur by the shoulder and dragged back to her side whispering sharply in French at the Vila who seemed to deflate at Madame Maxime's words with a frown.

"Enough," Dumbledore says, keeping a hand on Harry's shoulder, "Ludo, will you tell our champions what they need to know, so we may send them off to bed," he says calmly.

"Right you are, Headmaster," the former Quidditch star says with a smile, "The first task will be held on the twenty-fourth of November, the only thing you're allowed to bring is your wand," He says with a crooked smile.

"That's it?" Angeline asks with a confused look, hand still on Harry's chest to hold him back.

"That's it," Ludo says with a shrug, "This task is about courage in the face of the unknown, and the ability to think on your feet once you're in the thick of it," he tells them all, looking them each in the eye as he does.

"And with that, I think it is time to send our champions off to bed," Dumbledore announces, "Or, more likely, the celebration in their honor," he says with a smirk before turning to Harry, "But a word, Mister Potter, and that word is Starbursts," he tells Harry looking over his half-moon spectacles at him, Harry blinks back, confused at first but quickly understands with a nod to the Headmaster.

"Excellent, Igor, Olympe, I shall see you both to your lodgings before I regrettably must bid you a good night," Dumbledore tells them both before gesturing to the door.

In short order, the champions and the guests had been shown out of the side room and gone their separate ways. The Great Hall was empty of students as they walked through it. Harry starts to make a B-line directly to the Headmaster's office after he made sure Fleur was out of the castle, Harry glared at her as she smiled back at him with eager violence in her eyes as she left. Harry had barely made it to the third-floor landing before Angelina calls out to him.

"Harry!" She yells from a floor down, quickly closing the distance as she jogged up to him, "Slow down, damn," she says in a huff as she catches up and Harry turns to face her, his feet tapping and avoiding looking her in the eyes.

"You okay?" Angelina asks, and Harry looks up a bit shocked, he was honestly expecting her to be mad with him.

"Oh, um, y-yeah, I'm f-fine," Harry tells her, twitching a bit as she studies him for a moment before shaking her head.

"I'll pretend that I believe that for the moment, Harry," Angeline says with a bit of a frown, "But I need you to do something for me," she tells him and Harry nods.

"Look me in the eye and tell me you didn't put your name in the Goblet," She says, in a gentle tone, she knew Harry didn't like people shouting or yelling, that he would flinch and become withdrawn from the last three years of knowing the boy-was-her-seeker.

Harry takes a deep breath, pushing the hunt as far down as he could before looking Angelina in her dark brown eyes, "I don't put my name in Angeline, I didn't even know that a Confundas Charm worked on the Goblet like that, I didn't want anything to do with this stupid tournament," He says with a sigh.

Angeline looks at him for a moment before nodding, "Okay, I believe you," she says, and Harry blinks.

"Just like that?" Harry asks, not really believing it.

"Yeah," Angelina says with a nod and narrowed eyes looking off to the left, "Harry, we've played on the same team for the last three years, I'd like to think you wouldn't lie to me about something like this, and I trust you," she says looking back at him with a slight smile, "What I want to know is who entered and why?" she asks and Harry just shrugs, as he was about to say something along the lines of Voldemort, he was interrupted as a sliver white Grimm charges down the stairs before stopping before the two lions and opens its mouth.

"Harry," Sirius' voice speaks out from the Grimm's mouth, "Headmaster's office, now," it says in what sounds like panic before it disappears in a flash.

Angelina sighs before looking back down at Harry, "Never a dull year with ya is it, Harry?" she says with a smirk while crossing her arms.

"Guess not," Harry says with his own sigh, "And I was hoping for a dull year too," He says before looking off in the direction of the Headmaster's office, "Look I've got to go," Harry tells his fellow Gryffindor who nods at him.

"Sure," Angeline says, "What do you want me to tell the rest of Gryffindor? Same as after every win?" she asks, knowing Harry likes to be left alone and in peace, so she wasn't surprised when the Boy-who-was-her-seeker nods his head before, without another word, starts to make his way to the Headmasters office.

Albus Dumbledore, November 1st, 12:34 AM, the Forbidden Forest.

Albus Dumbledore found himself wandering deep into the Forbidden Forest thinking to himself, as he was one to do when his day had not gone as he expected. He had awoken from the day before, with the conversation with one Sirius Black from the day before fresh in his mind, he had spoken to Minerva about the young Mister Potter getting a pass from his classes for the day. Sirius had wanted to bring the young man to see his parent's grave and spend time with him before inviting him to stay over at Grimmauld Place over the winter holidays when the refurbished home would be ready and He had given the man leave to do so. While Sirius, Remus, and Harry were out and about, undoubtedly causing some type of Mischief elsewhere, Albus had a productive day.

Albus had completed the order forms for many things the house elves had asked for to keep the castle running smoothly, he had gone out to the clearing that the Hunters had once used and started setting it up for the upcoming first task by first laying down the beginnings of the wards and raising the stadium from the earth, he had a quick meeting with the other Heads of the Schools to see if there was anything they need and how that night's events would proceed. All before Mister Potter returned with a Letter and one of Lily Potter's research journals that he had all but thought lost, her last words to him had reminded Albus of all his failings when it came to Lily's son and did nothing but break Albus' own heart on how much he had let his old student and comrade down.

But in her journal that she had left for Albus was itemized list of all theoretical ways one could cheat death, labeled in different colors from most likely to least, and Horcrux was at the top of Lily's list, and Albus had once again mourned the loss of the rare genius that was Lily Potter. Albus did not have time to study the journal in-depth, but he would do so at a later time.

Then the selection ceremony happened and Harry Potter's name came out of the Goblet of Fire. How this had happened, Albus had a few theories, the most prevalent one being that Peter Pettigrew had snuck back into the school in the dead of night to do as Alastor had suggested. There was of course the chance that Harry himself did it, but even Albus knew, that the boy had the means to slip past his age line with Clóca scáth an Bháis, Harry himself would never do it for a multitude of reasons, hence why he had believed him when he said that he had not entered himself into the tournament.

Then came his talk with Minerva and Severus while returning to his office, Minerva's words still rang in his mind, He's a boy Albus, not a piece of meat that you can dangle on a string!. Though, he must say he was quite proud of her for what she did next, she had given Harry detention every weekend until the tournament was over, which got a raised eyebrow from Severus and an argument from Sirius and Remus, but in the end, Minerva's punishment would stand, no matter the protest. Harry would be in good hands, after all, how a teacher carries out the detention assigned to a student is, for the most part, up to the teacher.

But then came the conversation after Minerva had left in a rage, Albus had tried to get Harry to context his other mother, and pleaded with him to see reason, but Harry, ever stubborn, had refused. He would not pray to her for help, for guidance, he said she could not help, that she could not come because Cernunnos would not let her, Harry was sure of it. But Albus knows there was more than one way for a goddess to help, and if Harry would not, then Albus would.

This is why he found himself so deep in the forest, so deep into the domain of the Goddess of the Hunt, stopping for a moment he waves his wand and allows the fine blue dust of the revealing charm to take effect. He was rewarded with the outline of a small hare hiding in the bush far off to his right, and with steady aim, he sent a curse at it to kill it. Walking over to the bush before conjuring a small fire in the game path in the woods, he levitates the small rabbit Into the fire and speaks.

"Oh, Goddess of the Hunt, I have hunted in your domain, in your name, please accept this offering and hear me," Albus says, repeating the words he had read from ancient scrolls he had found in the stacks of Hogwarts, "We have much to do and little time to do it, for I fear your son is in grave danger," and he closes his eyes to finish his prey to the Goddess of the Hunt.

And thousands of miles away, in the Pacific Northwest of America, Amber cat eyes snap open, before narrowing in a glare of burning anger.

Notes:

The chapter is done, and the first move has been made.

Let's break this down, shall we?

So, in this Fleur is a half-Fae because in Slavic myth that what the Veela are, they're a weird mix of fae, Valkyries, and Hunters of Artemis, so there were a lot of ways I could have played this. I could have made them messages to the Slavic gods, or the hunters of Devana, the Slavic Goddess of the Hunt that may or may not exist and it's gonna be a fun part of the story later on. But I degrees, the Veela, or Vila, are Fae in this, but not your friendly fae who laugh and giggle as they help with cleaning your house or crafting something.

No, these are the Fae that is warned about in the old stories, they kidnap babies/children to eat or raise as slaves leaving a changeling to torment the remaining family. They are the tricksters and killers and the monsters that hide in the shadows and secret places of your home waiting for you to fuck up only once just so they have an excuse to torture and kill you.

A normal Fae, like what Fleur's mother is, is akin to a minor god or powerful Nymph, like what Zoë is, making Fleur something akin to a Demigod in her own right. The Arch-Fae, the beings that Hermione was talking about, are basically Gods on the level of Zeus or other Kings or Queens of their own pantheons.

Now, What are the Fae? Think of them as beings that like the taste of divine power/magic, they feed off it but it's not needed for them to get stronger. They are just cruel beings that like the finer taste of things. Fleur is going to have a few Fae-like powers, and a few have been spoken about, but she's going to be super dangerous to everyone around her. The reason Gabrielle was also sent to Hogwarts is that like all Fae, she likes to get in a bit of mischief, which normally ends bloody because both she and Fleur have the same earges that Harry has, and Fleur is the only one who can control Gabrielle, hence why she had to come.

And I'm sure you'll see that I changed up the champion lineup, now, don't get me wrong I had the idea of Cedric's character thought out and he was going to have something called Dyrnwyn, or the white hilt which is one of the thirteen treasures of Britain. It was gonna be fun. (Shout out to bahnannah for the Sword idea.)

But then an idea hit me, and I honestly couldn't shake it, so here we are with Angeline Johnson as our Hogwarts champion, she'll be getting her own mythological weapon, but sadly nothing from British or Irish myth which sucks. But the sword I picked out is perfect for it and I'm sure y'all will love it.

Will Artemis be coming to Hogwarts?

Short answer: Not anytime soon.

Long answer: No, Artemis will not be appearing in a large chunk of this story, but that doesn't mean she going to leave Harry hanging without any support, I dont want to spoil anything as of yet, but she will be sending a Hunter back to Hogwarts. But Artemis will be showing up before "The Tower" chapters, she and Harry will have a whole chapter to themselves in "The Moon" chapter.

The next chapter is going to be incredibly short compared to my normal standers, it probably will be less than 3,000 words.
