After finishing their meal at Ichiraku Ramen, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke made their way toward the training grounds.

The sun hung lazily in the sky, casting warm rays over the vast open field. A gentle breeze rustled through the trees, making the leaves whisper as if they knew a storm was coming.

Despite the serene atmosphere, there was one thing noticeably missing.

"Kakashi's not here," Sasuke muttered, his arms crossed.

Naruto smirked, unsurprised. "Told you. That guy is always late. No way was I gonna waste my morning waiting for him."

Sakura huffed. "Hmph. How irresponsible! Making you wait? How dare he!?"

Naruto patted her head, calming her down. "Relax, cherry blossom. Let's use this time wisely."

He turned to the group, his playful demeanor shifting into something sharper. "Alright, let's go over the plan again, just in case."

Both Sasuke and Sakura nodded, their eyes locked onto him.

"Sakura, bring out the tools."

Without hesitation, Sakura opened her pouch and neatly laid out kunai, shuriken, wire traps, smoke bombs, and explosive tags on the ground in a perfectly organized manner. The sheer efficiency made Sasuke raise an eyebrow.

"Did you always carry this much?" he asked.

Sakura just smiled innocently. "Of course, Naruto-sama deserves the best preparation."

Naruto chuckled, amused at how devoted she was. "Good girl."

Sasuke rolled his eyes. "Tch. Let's just set the traps."

Naruto and Sasuke worked in sync, moving through the training grounds like seasoned veterans. They laid down razor-thin wires between trees, positioned explosive tags in key areas, and strategically placed hidden kunai to restrict movement.

After a few minutes, their work was done.

Then, right on cue, a familiar lazy voice finally broke the silence.

"Yo."

Naruto turned his head to see Kakashi Hatake strolling into the field with the casual elegance of a man who had no idea he was hours late—or more likely, just didn't care. His silver hair stood up in its usual messy way, and his single visible eye curved into a smile.

"You're late," Sasuke said flatly.

Kakashi rubbed the back of his head, already preparing to make some ridiculous excuse. "Ah, well, you see—"

"Don't bother," Naruto cut him off, smirking. "We also just got here. No way I'd waste my morning waiting for a guy who always runs on his own time."

Kakashi's visible eye twitched. Did… did this brat just completely disarm me?

He coughed into his fist to regain his composure. "Right… Well then, let's begin."

Reaching into his pouch, he pulled out two small bells, letting them dangle between his fingers. The soft jingling sound filled the air.

"This," Kakashi said, "is your test."

His voice grew a bit more serious as he glanced at the three of them. "You have until noon to take these bells from me. Whoever fails will be tied to that log over there and won't get lunch."

Sakura's stomach sank at the thought. Skipping a meal? That's plain stupid!

But Kakashi wasn't done.

"And if you still fail in the afternoon…" His tone grew even darker. "You'll be sent back to the Academy."

A heavy silence settled over them.

Sasuke clenched his fists. "Tch. No way I'm going back there."

Sakura looked toward Naruto, as if waiting for him to speak first.

Naruto, however, just smiled lazily. So it's like that, huh?

"Now," Kakashi continued, "I'll count down from three. By the time I reach one, you should be hidden. Ready?"

The trio nodded.

"Three."

Their muscles tensed.

"Two."

A sharp wind blew past them.

"One."

In a blur of movement, all three disappeared into the trees.

Kakashi stood still for a moment, scanning the area. His visible eye twitched slightly in amusement. "Looks like they've hidden themselves well."

But he wasn't fooled.

He could feel their presence lurking.

"Alright then… Let's see what you've got."

Kakashi leisurely strolled across the training field, hands tucked into his pockets. His posture was relaxed, but his senses were razor-sharp.

From behind the trees, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura watched him carefully.

Naruto crouched on a branch, arms resting lazily over his knees. He turned slightly to glance at his teammates, giving a subtle nod. Time to put the plan into motion.

Sakura, hidden behind thick foliage, reached into her pouch and pulled out a kunai attached to a wire.

Sasuke, positioned a bit higher up, tensed his muscles, ready to strike.

Kakashi, meanwhile, let out a dramatic sigh. "You know, hiding is great and all, but eventually, you'll have to fight me."

Step... Step... Step...

The moment he took another step, a snap echoed through the field.

Instantly, a kunai flew toward him from the side, attached to a wire. Kakashi tilted his head slightly, letting it graze past his mask. But before he could move, three more came from different directions, all expertly aimed.

Not bad.

Effortlessly, he twisted his body, dodging each kunai with minimal movement. But just as he was about to land, his foot met… nothing.

A pitfall trap!

The ground beneath him collapsed, but before he could fall in, he flipped backward—

Only to hear the unmistakable click of an explosive tag activating.

Kakashi's visible eye widened slightly. These kids… they're not messing around.

With a blur of speed, he vanished just before the explosion erupted, kicking up dust and debris.

"Got him?" Sakura whispered from her hiding spot.

Naruto smirked. "Not yet."

Sure enough, Kakashi reappeared a few meters away, his usual laid-back demeanor now mixed with a hint of amusement.

"Well, well…" He dusted off his clothes. "I must admit, I wasn't expecting such a coordinated attack right from the start."

Sasuke landed on the ground, stepping out of the shadows. "You shouldn't underestimate us."

Kakashi tilted his head. "Oh? You're awfully confident. But confidence alone won't get you these bells."

Just as he finished speaking, a sudden gust of wind rushed toward him.

Naruto appeared in a flash, his fist flying straight toward Kakashi's masked face.

Kakashi raised his arm to block, but the impact sent a shockwave through his arm.

The strength!

This kid is fast. And strong.

Naruto grinned. "Surprised?"

Kakashi quickly twisted his body and countered with a low kick, but Naruto leaped over it effortlessly, flipping backward.

At that moment, Sasuke dashed forward, his Sharingan spinning.

Kakashi barely had time to react before Sasuke's leg swung toward his ribs. He blocked it, but immediately, Naruto was on him again.

A two-pronged attack—one that didn't let him breathe.

Kakashi's eye narrowed. This… might actually be fun.
