The figure had a distorted face hidden by black fumes of smoke. "Kekeke! I admire your strong will god candidate but not many can stand my depths of despair and stay sane."
Ryod could feel his skin tingling weirdly. "None of this is real."
The figure stroke his chin and said in a melancholic voice. "All of this is in fact real, your body is trapped in an infinite loop of despair. Relieving the most painful moments of your past, especially people like you. That righteousness crumbling to despair is more of a tasty treat. When the moon is at its highest by midnight I will plunge the world into THE DEPTHS OF DESPAIR! I will be free to feast on the despair of humanity a rise to godhood!"
