Chapter 541 - Chapter 541: He Runs, He Chases, Two Suns in the Sky

Previously, the Avengers thought this way they wouldn't interfere with each other, but Peter Parker didn't expect that although he wasn't affected by Johnny Stone, he was impacted by Martian Manhunter.

This led Peter Parker to silently distance himself from the battlefield of Martian Manhunter and Marcus. He began to roam around, using silver spider webs to entrap the vampires and werewolves, shifting from direct confrontation to supportive roaming.

Fortunately, the silver spider webs were highly effective, even better than the previous lightning spider webs in paralyzing enemies. With Peter Parker's help, many vampires and werewolves were caught and killed in coordination with the Avengers.

Of course, Peter Parker had no intention of helping Johnny Stone. Even though he had lost the power of Venom, perhaps due to Venom's latent influence, he wasn't eager to get near the flames.

Besides, Johnny Stone's explosive flames were less effective against stronger vampires and werewolves compared to silver weapons but were excellent for clearing out weaker ones. They were on par with Tony Stark's silver-armored suits.

However, with such rapid clearing, Moon Knight felt helpless. His crescent darts couldn't keep up with the number of werewolves. But he couldn't ask the Avengers to slow down, as this was a life-and-death battle, not a monster-hunting game.

So Moon Knight could only speed up his killing to ensure that after he cleared the werewolves, he could harness the power his crescent darts absorbed, hoping to no longer need to hunt them down.

Thankfully, the Avengers consciously let Moon Knight handle the werewolves since the situation wasn't looking great for them.

Ignoring the previous injuries caused by the bat-werewolf's resentment, the number of strong vampires and werewolves was still overwhelming.

Those who flew in with the blood cloud were elite vampires and werewolves, far stronger than those the Avengers had previously dealt with in the secret gathering spot. Without silver weapons and other means to counter them, the Avengers would have already lost. Even with these countermeasures, victory wasn't assured.

With William and Marcus, the leaders of the vampires and werewolves, taken away by Kara and Martian Manhunter, the remaining vampire prince was still formidable, even stronger than the previous vampire duke. This single prince alone held off Morbius and Blade, the main fighters against vampires.

Despite the countermeasures, the vampire prince wasn't at a disadvantage, even suppressing Blade and Morbius, forcing the Avengers to divert manpower and armor to handle this powerful enemy.

To avoid unexpected outcomes, Tony Stark remotely controlled Jarvis to continue manufacturing and transporting various armors and anti-vampire weapons, indicating his readiness for a prolonged battle, willing to exhaust the vampires and werewolves here.

Fortunately, Robert had previously killed the werewolf second-in-command, simplifying the situation for the Avengers. Otherwise, they would have faced a more complex and challenging scenario, especially since no one among the Avengers could withstand such a powerful foe.

Given the strength inferred from the vampire prince, the werewolf second-in-command's power was also formidable. Though not as strong as William, the Avengers couldn't spare anyone to handle such an opponent.

"What should we do? Should we open the mirror dimension? Their battle's destructive power isn't too strong, thanks to the silver weapons restraining them. But the fight between werewolf William and the Kryptonian woman might devastate the area," said some members of Kamar-Taj, who were observing from above. After cooperating with Robert once, they were now used to coming out to help maintain the Earth's environment.

Although this wasn't originally their duty, these battles had no direct relation to dimensional threats. However, Earth was everyone's home. If it got destroyed, what would be the point of the Earth dimension?

"Indeed, we should open the mirror dimension to avoid unexpected damage. Most of our people are with Baron Mordo, and we don't know if they can hold off the Saiyans. Their destructive power is terrifying, even at the same strength level. Their explosive power is frightening," said Kaecilius after observing the battle, and they began to open the mirror dimension.

"Wait, leave a gap. Iron Man's weapons haven't been transported yet. When they arrive, then you can fully open the mirror dimension," Martian Manhunter communicated to Kaecilius as the mirror dimension spread.

For Martian Manhunter, though he had some energy left to fight Marcus, he couldn't immediately kill him. Thus, without additional support, the Avengers would struggle against so many vampires and werewolves.

"Are our actions that obvious?" Kaecilius was stunned by the communication and looked at his companions.

"You know Earth is full of hidden talents. We didn't know about that ancestor before. This powerful Martian isn't surprising," shrugged a companion.

"As long as the teacher is around, we don't have to worry. Our teacher's power is unmatched. Even if the teacher isn't here now, we'd still have to handle these tasks," Kaecilius retorted.

"Cough!" But before Kaecilius finished, his companion interrupted him, signaling him to stop. Their teacher, the Ancient One, had a small heart and would not appreciate being talked about behind her back.

"Alright, I said nothing. I'll stay outside to guide the weapons. You can secretly assist inside if the Avengers struggle. We'll form a good relationship for future interactions," Kaecilius's face turned serious, acting as if he hadn't spoken ill of the Ancient One.

On the other side, Baron Mordo and his fellow disciples observed from the shadows, avoiding direct contact with Robert or the ancestor. Robert knew they were there to help with the mirror dimension, but the ancestor might flee faster if he noticed them.

Mordo couldn't understand why someone so powerful was so fearful.

However, if the ancestor decided to escape, Mordo and his team couldn't stop him. Even if they were ten times stronger, they couldn't trap the ancestor in the mirror dimension without someone to hold him down.

"Where did this guy come from? We've never seen him before, and he exudes a faint dimensional aura. He seems to have harnessed the power of the dimension. I wonder if the teacher included him in the list," Mordo murmured, watching the ancestor's escape route.

"From what we know, he's the ancestor of these vampires and werewolves, the one who granted them power. There seems to be a conspiracy behind this," a companion warned, "Especially now that the teacher isn't here. If there's a dimensional invasion, we can't stop it, even with dimensional arrays."

"No worries. Since the Saiyans have targeted him, we only need to help them trap him and minimize the damage to Earth," Mordo shrugged, unfazed.

"After all, the capable do more work. The Saiyans seem to enjoy fighting. We'll handle logistics, like assisting our teacher."

"There are Saiyans, two Kryptonians, and a Martian on Earth now. They're all capable of fighting on their own. Do you think one of them will succeed our teacher and become Earth's protector?" a Kamar-Taj member wondered.

"What are you thinking? Our teacher might wish for retirement, but after centuries, she looks the same, indicating she'll continue to protect Earth. Many of our senior disciples were buried by the teacher. We'll likely share the same fate," Mordo laughed, somewhat melancholic.

"If we could fully harness the power of a dimension, maintaining our life with its energy…" a Kamar-Taj member yearned.

"Watch your words!" Mordo interrupted, staring sternly. "Do you know the cost of dimensional power? Do you think those dimensional demons grant power for free? Or that your will can resist their corruption?"

"Sorry, Baron Mordo, I lost myself…" The member trembled and apologized.

"Have you had enough running?!" On the other side, Robert's impatient voice sounded.

Robert had been chasing the ancestor for a while. The ancestor initially planned to escape to his base but noticed Robert following him, so he circled the globe several times, showing no sign of stopping.

The ancestor planned to split his aura to mislead Robert, but Robert's impatience led him to act. A bright light enveloped the sky, making it seem like there were two suns, obscuring everything.

Fortunately, the distance from the ground minimized the impact on people, though this anomaly would be noted in history.

"What's going on?" The ancestor lost all sensory perception, though he wasn't as terrified of sunlight as Robert expected. This sensory blockade allowed Robert to catch up.

At this range, escaping from Robert was impossible, especially with Robert's backup.
