"Gulp!" Marcus, who was about to strike, froze, watching Robert's smirking face. He swallowed hard, unsure of what to say.
Marcus was secretly relieved that it was William who acted rashly. Otherwise, he would be the one flying backward now...
Even with his keen eyesight, Marcus could barely see Robert's speed. He knew he couldn't avoid Robert's strike. While it wouldn't be lethal, Marcus didn't want to provoke such a strong being...
"Chirp!" As Marcus stood dazed, the bat-werewolf's resentment, already on its last legs, was finally erased by Robert.
