Manbao lifted the curtain and jumped down, only to realize there were walls on both sides. She curiously asked, "Where are we?"
"This is the other side of the Imperial Academy. The Academy itself is behind the wall." Daji obviously had scouted the area before; after all, the young master was studying inside and he needed to be prepared for the day when he might not be able to retrieve someone from inside.
Manbao glanced at the wall that was a full head taller than the walls of the Yizhou Prefecture school, then stood on the carriage shaft to warm up her limbs before turning around to climb onto the horse's back.
Daji's eye twitched as he silently watched.
Standing on the horse's back, Manbao rubbed her hands together, aimed for the top of the wall, and with a leap, she was clinging to it. The horse became agitated and took a few steps but was held back by Daji, who then snorted at it.
Manbao had already adeptly climbed to the top of the wall.
