Having bypassed the massive Starry Sky City, Rod and Jessica walked for half a clock hour through the dense Black Fog before arriving at their destination, a place known as the Scar of Death Canyon.
However, when Rod saw it, he realized it was not a canyon, but rather a gaping fissure in the earth.
This unprecedented rift, thousands of yards wide, appeared endless, the vast opening reminiscent of a man-devouring demon, seemingly leading straight into a bottomless abyss.
Jessica glanced at the Star Disk.
"This is the place. Powerful Soul Devouring Demons, terrifying creatures evolved from the Black Fog itself, lurk in the canyon. They remain active and are extremely-sensitive to fluctuations in Spiritual Energy. They are a threat that must be eradicated."
Staring at the astonishing rift before him, Rod exclaimed, "This is truly a spectacle wrought by nature."
