Chapter 125 - He Shouldn't Know

Austin settled on the roof or an eighteen story skyscraper and aimed his assault rifle into the open window of an office building.

He waited patiently until his target appeared; a 28 year old man suspected of betraying the Cannon House as well as selling information to enemy groups.

There was enough proof of his betrayal and it was time that he suffered repercussions. This was a one shot operation; Austin couldn't miss it.

If he did and the bullet hit somewhere in the room, the target would become alarmed and aware of the assassination attempt.

The others had gone to carry out missions in the other parts of Taiwan, leaving this job to Austin. It was simple; kill the man and no one but the man.

'A head shot is what I want.' He aimed carefully, his hand on the trigger. 'Ready. Fire.'

As he pulled it, the target unexpectedly bent down and the bullet hit the wall opposite him.

'Shit.' Austin swore and grabbed the rifle and his knapsack.

He took out the grapling gun that was strapped to his waist and aimed for the window. He fired and swung his way into it, where the man had already pulled out a pistol. He fired, hiring Austin's shoulder. Under five seconds, the gun was kicked out of his hand and he was pinned to the wall.

"Let me go." He said frightened. "How much did they pay you? I'll pay you double, no triple. Name your price."

"Shut up." Austin hissed. He pulled out collected evidence of his betrayal and threw it on his desk. "Can you see that?"

The man nodded. "I would never betray the House again. Forgive me."

Austin snorted. "You don't deserve it. Be more careful in your next life." The silenced pistol was shot, a bullet in the head which killed him instantly.

Austin sighed. He made sure not to stain his surroundings withe the blood from his shoudler so as not to leave his DNA. He had decided to make the death look like suicide and placed the pistol in the target's hand. He then, put a sucide note and after ensuring that the scene looked like a sucide, quietly exited the building. His phone buzzed in his pocket; a call from Harry.

[Speak.] He commanded.

"Target exterminated." Austin yawned. "Mission successful."

[It took you two bullets, didn't it?]

"I'm going back to the hotel. Goodnight Father." Austin ended the call and entered his private vehicle. He wasn't going to tell his father that.
