A/N: LET'S GET THIS OVER WITH!"

————————————————————————————————

"Can you get off him now?"

Yang felt irritated, seeing Weiss hold her body so close to Altair's. An uncharacteristic jealously welled up inside her, as she narrowed her eyes on Weiss.

Hearing Yang, Weiss looked up, letting go of Altair, as she saw that they landed safely on the ground. Dazed, she looked down at Altair, and realized that she was...sitting...on him.

"...WAHH" A crimson flower bloomed on the snowy plains of her face. Flustered, she got down from his shoulder with haste and urgency. Dropping to the ground ahe dashed away, and pointed at him, with a wide eyed accusatory glare. "YOU DOLT HOW CAN YOU JUST DO THAT TO A LADY!?".

"I couldn't leave you there can I?" Altair said calmly, his expression neutral. Weiss froze for a moment before staying silent. An awkward atmosphere enveloped the four, though Blake remained un affected by it, focusing on something from the forest instead.

Yang just let out a sigh before walking towards Altair. With an irritated gaze, she reached out and pinched his cheeks with a firm grip.

"Altair you're really good with the ladies aren't you" Said Yang as she squished his cheeks under her grip. Sweat rolled down his cheeks, as he felt nervous. Under the pressure presented by Yang, Altair sighed before hugging her tightly.

"Wha—" He hoisted her up, before spinning in place. Yang felt the air against her hair, as Altair continued to spin fast. He had his face pressed against her midriff, as he closed his eyes, enduring the dizziness he was starting to feel, whilst Yang continued to scream, before growing more and more silent. After a full minute, the two laid on the ground dizzy, with Yang on top of him. Both panting heavily.

"Oh God...help m– Ugh" Altair stopped himself from vomiting, as he endured the nausea. Yang didn't fare any better, she tried to stand up, before falling on Altair again.

Whilst that was happening three things happened.

1. Nora came in riding an Ursa on its back. The Ursa died. Then got her piece, before being scolded by her partner Lie Ren. Now the two stood besides Blake, looking at the couple laying on the ground.

2. Weiss finally composed herself. Finally finishing her contemplation, she looked around, and witnessed Nora riding the Ursa, and Altair spinning with Yang in his arms.

3. Massive thuds came from the distance, as a few trees fell heading for there direction. All the four knew was something massive was probably coming in their direction.

Blake, finally putting her focus on her partner turned to where she was, only to see Nora, who felt her stare, before poiting at the two on the ground. She fell speechless, so did Weiss and Ren. Nora, however, whispered to Ren. Something to do about "Couples" and "Marriage".

Altair recovered first, before Yang. He sat up, supporting her as did. When as they stood up, she recovered slightly, being able to stand without staggering.

"Ugh...Al what the heck" Yang said still somewhat dizzy. On the side, the four stared at them with awe, as if they were a rare specimen.

"You wouldn't let go. So I–" Before he could continue, he was cut off by a scream coming from the forest. All six turned to the source of the noise. The source being Jaune, who ran from the forest, followed by Ruby, Pyrrha, and.

"Did they come here with a Deathstalker in their tail?" Blake asked, her voice devoid of feeling, as she stared the three with a deadpanned expression.

Altair and Yang became alert, shaking off the dizziness they stared at the Deathstalker that was, admittedly, larger than the ones typically seen in the wild.

"OH OUM, WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE THAT ONE? WHY!" Jaune screamed, legs pounding against the forest floor as he bolted for the temple.

"WHY DID YOU LEAD US INTO A CAVE?" Ruby shot back, her voice sharp with adrenaline.

"I THINK WE SHOULD FOCUS ON THE ENEMY RIGHT BEHIND US!" Pyrrha spun on her heel, snapping off three precise shots from Miló. The bullets pinged off the Deathstalker's armored hide, buying them seconds before she sprinted away.

Altair's voice cut through the chaos. "Uhh... we help them first. Weiss, grab a gold knight piece!" He lunged for [Grand Cross], wrenching the colossal shield free from the earth in a spray of dirt.

Weiss nodded, darting toward the relics, while Blake, Yang, Nora, and Ren braced themselves. The Deathstalker's thunderous charge shook the ground, its serrated legs carving furrows in the dirt as it closed in.

"GUYS! SOME HELP?!" Jaune's voice cracked as Ruby and Pyrrha blurred past him, skidding into position beside the others.

"JAUNE, KEEP RUNNING!" Ruby jammed Crescent Rose's blade into the earth and fired a volley—BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!—each round hammering into the Deathstalker's stinger, forcing it to rear back with a pained shriek.

Pyrrha dropped to one knee, weapon steady. "Cover me!" She squeezed off another burst, the gunfire sharp and rhythmic. Blake and Ren mirrored her, Gambol Shroud and StormFlower spitting bullets in tight arcs.

Then—movement.

Yang and Nora launched.

Ember Celica roared as Yang rocketed forward, her fist cocked back—KA-THUNK! A shotgun blast supercharged her strike, her knuckles cratering into the Deathstalker's armor. At the same time, Nora rode Magnhild's explosion like a missile, hurtling skyward before twisting into a devastating overhead swing. "HYYYYAAAAAH!"

CRACK—BOOM! Her hammer struck like a meteor, cratering the earth beneath the Grimm. The shockwave spiderwebbed out, kicking up dust and debris.

It should have been over.

But the Deathstalker surged upright with a furious screech, claws slashing wildly. It barreled forward, faster now—reckless, enraged—straight for the temple.

Jaune stumbled into the group, chest heaving. "Hah... hah... Did we—?" He turned. The Grimm was *ight there. "HYAHHH!"

"JAUNE!" Altair's voice thundered from across the field as he sprinted toward the fray. "CHARGE IT! SHIELD FIRST!"

"ARE YOU INSANE?!" Jaune yelped.

"JUST DO IT!"

"FINE!" Gritting his teeth, Jaune rammed forward—sword raised, shield braced—just as the Deathstalker's claw SMASHED into him.

BANG!

The impact sent shockwaves up his arms, but he dug in, boots skidding across dirt. "Ngh—HRRRAGH!" He shoved back with everything he had—just long enough.

Ruby and Pyrrha struck like lightning. Crescent Rose carved gleaming arcs while Miló flashed like a red streak, their blades biting deep as they danced around the Grimm in a whirlwind of steel. Jaune ran back to a safe distance, away from the two.

From behind, Nora struck—Magnhild swung in a brutal upward arc, cracking into the Deathstalker's underbelly with enough force to lift the Grimm off its legs. She backflipped away just as Pyrrha and Ruby lunged in, their weapons flashing.

Glyphs flared beneath their feet, propelling them faster—but before their blades could connect, the air screamed.

"LOOK OUT!" Blake's warning came a split second too late. Ruby burst into petals, vanishing just as massive feathers—each as long as a person—speared the ground where she'd stood. Pyrrha twisted, Akoúo raised, but the shield was too small to cover her entirely. Teeth gritted, she braced, shielding her vitals.

TING!

No impact came. Pyrrha opened her eyes to find herself under the shadow of a massive shield, Altair bracing it overhead with one arm.

"Sorry for being late," he said, then hurled the shield like a discus. It smashed into the Deathstalker's face, staggering it, as Altair yanked [Minerva] from his robes. **BANG-BANG-BANG!** Ten shots ripped through the Grimm's armor in rapid succession.

He turned, offering Pyrrha a hand. "Altair Weiss Abaddon. Nice to meet you."

She took it, smiling despite the chaos. "Pyrrha Nikos. Likewise."

No time for more. Altair sprinted for his shield, ramming it into the Deathstalker's claw mid-swing. Pyrrha, Yang, and Nora capitalized—Pyrrha's rifle cracked shot after shot, Yang ricocheted off glyphs to pummel the Grimm from all angles, and Nora's hammer strikes landed like thunderclaps, each one jolting the beast backward.

The Deathstalker fought viciously—claws slashed, its stinger stabbed—but Altair intercepted every blow, shield deflecting attacks just long enough for the others to counter.

"RUBY, WEISS—DEAL WITH THE NEVERMORE!" Altair barked.

Jaune yelped. "No way! You guys ca—"

"OKAY!" Ruby's reply cut him off. Blake, Weiss, and Ren nodded, already moving. Jaune barely had time to protest before Ruby grabbed his hood, yanking him deeper into the temple ruins as the Nevermore's shadow swallowed the sky above them.

————————————————————————————

As they ran, Weiss voiced her opinion on something.

"Now that I think about it, why do we follow Altair's orders without question?"

Silence spread through the group as they wondered why indeed. Ren contemplated quickly before responding.

"It may be due to his commanding voice? He did offer the most rational course of action."

"I just agree with his instructions. Someone able to come up with something on the fly that sounds good is either a tactician or someone experienced in battle," Blake said with a calm voice.

"I just follow what he says because it's him saying it," Ruby said as if it were the most normal thing to do. Of course, this stemmed from the fact that through most of their interactions, Ruby had formed the idea that Altair was very dependable.

"I'm just scared of him, to be honest," Jaune said with a defeated tone in his voice.

"Well...I can relate," Weiss shook her head before looking ahead.

The Nevermore flew, circling above them. They all looked focused, except for Jaune, who looked grim.

"Let's finish this, then we can rest," Weiss said with determination as she switched the chamber in her rapier to hold Fire Dust.

(A/N: See what I did there)

————————————————————————————————

"This thing isn't going down!" Yang growled, her hair glowing as she unleashed a flurry of punches, each amplified by Ember Celica's shotgun blasts. But the centuries-old Deathstalker barely flinched, its armored shell shrugging off the assault.

Nora swung Magnhild with all her might—TWHACK!—only for the Grimm's massive claw to swat her aside like a ragdoll. She crashed into a tree, her aura absorbing most of the impact.

"Sorry!" Altair intercepted a claw aimed at Yang, his shield absorbing the blow. The fight was dragging on, and they needed a decisive move. His mind raced, seals flickering in his vision:

[Seals Released:

Rationality

Holy Seal of Sanctity

Grand Seal: Remover

Seal Release: 60%]

"Think," he muttered.

' The canyon? Might interrupt Ruby and the others. Brute force? Impossible without looking suspicious.

Then it hit him.

' The tail '

He remembered JNPR's first fight against a Deathstalker, to be more exact, this same Deathstalker they're currently fighting. Due to Janune's quick thinking, they used its own stinger to kill it.

With a plan in mind, he slammed against the Deathstalker with a strong force.

"Fall back!" Altair shouted, yanking Yang aside as the Deathstalker stumbled, one side hitting the ground. Pyrrha and Nora regrouped, confusion on their faces.

"Why'd we stop?" Yang cracked her knuckles, her irritation clear.

"I have a plan. See the tail?" Altair pointed at the massive stinger on the stunned Deathstalker's tail. Pyrrha looked at the stinger before realizing what he wanted to do.

"Do we break its legs?!" Nora said enthusiastically, as she looked bright with anticipation. Altair fell silent, slightly taken a back by Nora's suggestion, but he quickly recovered, as a smile was brought back to his face.

"Why not. Anyways me and Yang will keep that thing distracted, Pyrrha will focus her shots on the tail, while...uh who are you again?"

"Nora Valkyrie! Ready to break some legs"

"...yes go break some legs"

"YES!"

Done with the strategy meeting, they moved. Altair charged, his shield slamming into the Deathstalker's pincers—CLANG! Yang followed, her punches booming.

Pyrrha fired Miló, her bullets chipping away at the stinger's hinge. The Deathstalker lashed its tail, the stinger stabbing at Yang, who dodged with a backflip at the last second.

Nora's grenades—BOOM!—staggered the Grimm. Pyrrha's shots found their mark, the tail joint cracking and oozing black ichor.

"Now!" Altair leapt, throwing his shield on the middle of the Deathstalker, embedding his shield in its carapace. Midair, he drew [Minerva] and emptied the clip into the weakened stinger.

His shots combined with the accumulated damage coming from Pyrrha's shots, loosened the stinger from its hinge.

"IT'S LOOSE!" He shouted, as Pyrrha nodded.

Pyrrha hurled Akoúo, the shield severing the stinger. It plunged into the Deathstalker's skull. The Grimm SCREECHED, thrashing wildly.

"NORA—FINISH IT!"

Yang and Pyrrha kept it pinned as Nora soared skyward, Magnhild crackling with energy.

"HI-YAAAAAH!"

Her hammer fell like a meteor—KRAKOOM!—driving the stinger deeper. The Deathstalker collapsed, shaking the ground as dust plumed into the air.

Yang and Pyrrha let out a breath of relief, as they sat on the ground, slightly exhausted from the fight. Nora, on the other hand pranced on top of the Deathstalker, effectively T-bagging it.

' The disrespect '

Momentarily stunned, Altair shook his head, as he approached Yang and sat besides her. Yang leaned her head on his shoulder, and closed her eyes.

"Let me sleep for a while" With a slightly tired voice, Yang rested on his shoulder. Altair just let it happen, embracing her with his arm.

"That's a wrap I guess"

"Yes" Pyrrha streched her arms, as she laid down on the grass. "I wonder how well they're doing right now?"

"...fine probably"

"..."

"I'm queen of the castle, I'm queen of the castle!".

In a large auditorium, on a proportionally large stage, stood Professor Ozpin, with Glynda on the side, and the other students who passed the initiation. Below the stage, stood crowds of students clapping as teams were announced.

"Ruby Rose. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie. Lie Ren. Your team retrieved the white rook pieces. From now on you'll be known as Team RNVL ( Carnival ). Lead by Ruby Rose"

"Wahhhhh." Ruby stood in place, stunned and locked in disbelief, with her mouth open. Pyrrha on the side just smiled and clapped, while Nora shook Ruby, with Ren clapping like Pyrrha.

Yang cheered as she clapped, while Altair just nodded in acknowledgement. Weiss looked doubtful, but still clapped, along side Blake.

Ozpin smiled as he continued announcing the Teams.

"Altair Weiss Abaddon. Weiss Schnee. Blake Belladonna. Yang Xiao Long. You all have retrieved the white knight piece. From this day on you'll be known as Team AWBY ( Ashberry ) ¹ Lead by Altair Weiss Abaddon"

"Why?" Altair tiredly said, as he felt Weiss's stare of contempt weigh on him. But it was quickly overshadowed by Yang hugging him tightly.

"Ohhh. Congrats Al!" Yang said wrapping her arms around Altair.

"There is nothing to celebrate what so ever" Altair said, despair painting his face. Yang just laughed before pecking his cheek. Weiss blushed as she scolded the two with public decency, while Blake looked at them with a blank expression on her slightly flushed face.

"I can already foresee many headaches coming my way"
