Wuhu Village was besieged by the soldiers led by King Weiyuan, and people inside the village were so worried that they couldn't sleep. However, Daozi and Zhang Xiaohu, the two little ones, slept soundly.
Daozi knew his dad was coming to rescue him and it wouldn't be long before he could return home to see his mother. With this burden off his heart, he fell asleep on Old Li's bed as soon as sleepiness overtook him.
Seeing Daozi asleep, Zhang Xiaohu, with nothing else to do, also lay down and fell asleep.
However, in the middle of the night, the second-in-command angrily brought a group of people to the backyard and woke the two little ones during a loud argument with Old Li.
"Are the government soldiers attacking?"
Zhang Xiaohu looked around in panic.
