Chapter 9 - Basic Hero Training

"I'm tired," Yuki said as he dropped his head on the desk.

"Unbelievable, who sleeps only four hours due to reading. I would understand if you watched videos on your phone and got distracted but…studying? You guys are a different breed." Susumu, the girl obsessed with fashion, said while she glanced both at Rika and Yuki.

Rika had also done the same as Yuki, except that she only slept two hours and relied on energy drinks.

"I got too excited for today that I kept on taking notes about the assessment and how I could improve…" Rika's hand trembled as she took another sip of her drink, before slamming her head on the desk.

"Unbelievable." Susumu shook her head in disagreement.

The whole class had been waiting for their teacher to arrive but it seemed as if no one was coming, so they all scattered in the room and played around—chattering with one another.

"...Guys, it's already been 15 minutes…we should leave!" someone shouted in excitement.

"Dude, is the second day only and you're already so eager to get out of this school?" Matsushima Hajime, a boy with white hair, said.

"Aww, but the teacher is not showing up!" The boy sulked. Kazuhiro seemed to not be able to stay in place, he always had to glitch from seat to seat, introducing himself to everyone and talking about their interest. And some of the students were getting fed up with it.

Before a fight could break out someone slammed the door open.

"All Might…IS HERE!" All Might presented himself proudly, sliding through the door into the class.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦?!

All the students gasped in excitement.

"All Might is here!"

"Why is he here?"

"He looks so cool!"

"Hello everyone! Today you will be learning about hero basics! This is why we will do…COMBAT TRAINING!" He told the class enthusiastically.

Everyone started clapping just because it felt like the right thing to do at that moment. All the students looked at All Might in awe, even Yuki felt a sense of "celebrity glow" coming from the hero.

"Not only that! But your hero costumes are here! Thanks to the requests you sent to the school!"

On the left of the classroom wall, four rows popped out with numbers on them, each representing the seat number of the students. And in those containers their costumes were.

"Finally! I get to see my great outfit design." Susumu said happily.

"After you change, gather to the Ground Beta!" All Might pointed to the ceiling with his index finger, a full smile on his face while his aura shined.

The students were excited to finally see their costumes but they were most excited about being taught by All Might—the number one hero himself, but still, some were confused.

"Umm, All Might?" a boy with blue light skin said, raising his hand hesitantly.

"Yes, young man?" All Might looked at him with a smile.

"Where is our teacher?" the boy asked as everyone in the class agreed with him.

"Well, unfortunately, Thirteen isn't able to make it to today's class due to some hero issues, and also because this is a new class it is hard for teachers to manage their time. So, you guys will be seeing me a lot! Aren't you excited?" All Might said as he flexed his biceps.

Regardless of the management issues, the students were happy to have him teach their class. After all, this was their chance to be near All Might and ask him as many questions as they wanted. Maybe even ask for an autograph!

𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰'𝘴 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴?

Yuki raised his hand.

"Yes, young man say your question!"

"Aren't you teaching a class in 1-A or did you change classrooms?" Yuki asked confused.

"Aha, I see that your brother told you about me! Well, due to those management issues I am going to teach classes 1-A and 1-C AT THE SAME TIME! Only for special classes like this one, not all the time. Both classes 1-A and 1-B have official teachers but your class doesn't and that's why your class will borrow teachers from the other classes. Now let's go!" All Might said with joy.

𝘚𝘰 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳? 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘰𝘥𝘥…

Yuki scratched his head, not knowing what to expect.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Class 1-A was already in Ground Beta waiting for the other class while All Might stood there. They had just received the news that another class would be attending the same lesson as them and Deku was excited to see new quirks, but Bakugou was annoyed.

"Why are extras joining our class?!" Bakugou stomped his feet.

"You shouldn't be so harsh, Kacchan…" Deku said.

"Shut up!" So Deku shut up.

Right after, Class 1-C joined them. Yuki tried to avoid his brother's stare by hiding beside Rika, it wasn't like he was embarrassed but he didn't want anyone to know that he was related to Shoto at the moment—though it was hard to hide it when his last name was also Todoroki. Then All Might started to explain the rules.

"Listen up! For this class, you will be split into villains and heroes and fight 2-on-2 indoor battles."

Then he started to explain further in detail, saying that the villains have hidden a nuclear weapon in their hideout and that the heroes had to either capture the villains or deactivated the weapon. While the villains need to protect the weapon from the heroes or catch the heroes.

"Teams and opponents will be decided by drawing lots!" All Might took out a yellow box that contained the lots.

"And don't worry, you might be paired with the other class or not! And considering the odd number of students that class 1-C has, one team will have three members. Whether they end up being villains or heroes depends on the lots" All Might shouted.

With no further questions, the students started to draw the lots. Each one was paired with a student from their class or the other class. Deku was flustered when he was paired with Uraraka, everyone could tell he had never interacted with a girl before.

Yuki was hoping that he would be paired with Rika, Susumu, or Masaaki from his class but if he were to be paired with someone from class 1-A, he hoped it was Seto—which is why when he put his hand into the box and took a piece of paper with the letter "D" written on it, he was stunned.

Right before he was going to draw lots he saw a certain someone with anger issues who was looking at his paper that had a "D" written on it. He was worried about being partnered with Bakugou but he was more worried about what this was leading to. If this is a hero versus villain class thing, then it's most likely that Bakugou's team will end up being villains and that means they'll fight heroes. Knowing the rivalry between Bakugou and Deku he knew that Bakugou's team was fated to fight against Deku's team. Why? Because that's how all stories are.

𝘍𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘮𝘦! 𝘍𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘮𝘦! 𝘍𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘮𝘦! 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦…𝘞𝘩𝘺…

Yuki looked at his paper once again and started to walk toward Bakugou. Then he tapped him on his shoulder.

"B-Bakugou…we're on the same team." Yuki stood awkwardly beside him. He didn't want to anger Bakugou so he tried not to make eye contact with him.

"What? Speak up." Bakugou said to Yuki rudely.

𝘉𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩…

Yuki let thoughts be thoughts.

"Sorry…I'm awkward with strangers," Yuki wasn't lying but Bakugou didn't reply or said anything back—or more like Bakugou ignored him, instead they stood in silence, waiting for All Might to speak.

After everyone had their partner, All Might took out two different boxed and placed them beside each other. One with the words "villain" and the other with the words "hero". All Might put both hands in both boxes.

"The first teams to fight will be…" as All Might was scattering the balls inside the box to grab them randomly. Yuki was hoping that his prediction was wrong and that they won't end up fighting Deku and Uraraka. Also, they weren't possibly going to be the first ones to go—

"...these guys!" All Might pulled out ball "A" from the Hero box and ball "D" from the Villain box.

Yuki wanted to smash his head onto the wall.

"Everyone else, head to the monitor room!" All Might said.

"Yes!" Every student said.

As everyone walked away, Yuki waved to his brother and friends goodbye wishing that it was him who was walking next to his brother.

𝘐 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰…𝘓𝘦𝘵'𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳…

Yuki turned around to see that Bakugou was glaring at Deku, and poor Deku turned around in fear. The villain team had five minutes before the heroes would break in and All Might was telling both of them to learn to think from the villain's perception and not be afraid to get hurt, to learn how villains do things, and to execute them like a real villain.

𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘔𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘪𝘥!

Both Bakugou and Yuki entered the building and in no time they found the weapon. Yuki stood next to it and was amazed at the size, he had thought that it was going to be the size of a cereal box but it seemed to be taller than a truck, sort of looking like a large bullet.

"Hey!"

𝘖𝘩, 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦! 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦!

"Yeah?" Yuki was too nice to ignore anyone. Turning around to look at Bakugou.

"What do you think about Deku?" Bakugou asked out of nowhere.

Yuki had to play clueless.

"Deku? The guy with the green outfit? Well…he seems pretty…normal." Yuki tries to think from an outsider's point and honestly, anyone seeing Deku would think that he was pretty ordinary and that he had to have an ordinary quirk.

"Normal? Someone who can have a quirk?" Bakugou didn't even turn around to look at him but Yuki could feel the evil aura dripping off him.

"...naturally." Yuki might have irked something inside Bakugou because he seemed like he was about to kill anyone at any second.

Pushing that aside, Yuki was thinking of a way to protect the weapon. He was pretty serious about his grades and he was hoping that they could win but that was unlikely as Deku was on the other team and that plot armor will most likely help him in any way.

"𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?" Yuki thought of asking Bakugou this but didn't want to interrupt his evil plan or anger him any further. So he thought by himself.

Then he started by dropping down the temperature of the room, then the hallways, then all the other rooms. Freezing the rooms and even stopping the AC from working. Bakugou noticed this and turned around to look at Yuki.

"What are you doing?" Bakugou asked him with a demining tone.

"I'm making the temperature cooler, is nothing special I just thought that I should at least distract them by having them shiver in the cold. Also, where do you think we can hide this?" Yuki said as he knocked on the weapon.

"Hmph. I don't know."

𝘔𝘢𝘯…𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵…

Yuki knew that he wasn't going to be able to take this conversation anywhere so he recommended something to Bakugou that he knew he would like.

"Okay, you can go around and fight them while I protect the weapon. Is that okay with you?" Yuki asked him.

Bakugou smiled evilly.

"Hehe…that's fine with me." He cracked his knuckles with excitement mixed with a hint of anger.

…𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘭𝘶𝘤𝘬, 𝘋𝘦𝘬𝘶.

Bakugou then ran off as quickly as he could, leaving Yuki behind to take care of their mission on his own. Soon after, they could hear All Might through the intercom saying that they could start the 2-on-2 combat training.

"Well, I guess I have to hide this thing…"

First, he went to the entrance and made a huge barrier of thick ice—then he made it snow inside the room, covering the floor with snow. Thickening the snow so it would be hard for anyone to walk or run in the room.

"Nice," Yuki said with a smile but he still thought that it wasn't enough. Not long after, he heard a loud explosion and felt the whole building shaking, stumbling on his feet as he tried to balance himself.

"What the?!"

𝘐𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘉𝘢𝘬𝘶𝘨𝘰𝘶?!

He could already see the scene playing out in his head. Bakugou is angry at Deku so he is fighting him with no mercy while Deku is trying to have a conversation with him and instead, they end up fighting—or more like Bakugou is trying to get Deku killed.

𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘋𝘦𝘬𝘶 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘜𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘬𝘢 𝘸𝘪𝘯? 𝘐 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘺…

But if he lost then Endeavor would scold him and try to take him out of the school, telling him that he shouldn't have gone, and then Shoto will angry and it would all become a mess.

Yuki scratched his head and looked around the room. Looking at the camera in the corner then looking at the weapon.

𝘚𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦.

Yuki created more heavy snow and started to pile up snow in front of the camera lens, making it seem like he was messing up with his quirk and overdoing it. When he saw that there was enough snow and ice to cover the camera he started to use his second Quirk, his eyes turned into a shade of violet as he activated it, moving the weapon little by little. Which was very tough to do.

"How do I… hide this weapon?" He said quietly, as he was pushing the weapon with his back while using his Qurik.

Even though he was using the Quirk, the weapon was barely moving. Maybe because he had never used it properly—or else Endeavor would glare at him even if he thought about using it.

Dr. Masahiro was so curious about what his other Quirk was about, other than it being an ocular Quirk that allowed him to take control of the vision of others, he wanted to know more. That's when he realized that he was able to control objects, though he couldn't see from their perspective, he could move them a bit and take control of their structure. Which explained why he could move papers.

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵…𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘪𝘧 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘣𝘢𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺?!

It was already bad enough that he wasn't able to communicate with Clematis and ask her about the phenomenon, so he concluded on his own.

As Clematis had said before "You will manifest a quirk based on what's around you" which did happen and he had an ice-related Quirk but he could only conclude that he had two Quirks because he was around Shoto all the time—but Shoto's Quirk was a fusion, confusing him further. His second Quirk being an ocular was also confusing, there was no one in the family that a vision-related Quirk. Letting go of those thoughts, he had wondered if he could show off that he had two Quirk—even though one was useless—but Endeavor told him not to tell anyone, not even those in U.A. Only his family and the staff of the school knew about his Quirks.

Yuki was still trying to push the weapon with his strength and his Quirk when suddenly he started getting dizzy so he retracted the idea and stopped trying to hide the weapon. Defrosting the ice from the cameras and sighing in defeat.

He sat down beside the weapon and waited patiently for the others to arrive here. Thinking about who would come into the room—either Uraraka or Deku and he could fight them without hurting them.

Yuki then remembered his partner, he didn't know what was going on downstairs so he called Bakugou through the little earbuds they were given to communicate.

"Bakugou? What's your situation?" Yuki asked through the earbud, smiling even though Bakugou couldn't see it.

"None of your business." Bakugou sounded angry and out of breath. Yuki decided to not ask further questions and hung up.

𝘞𝘰𝘸…𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘵…

He kept on hearing the commotion from downstairs and was debating on going down to maybe help Bakugou one way or another, only because he felt awkward standing in one place; he also felt like he was doing nothing to aid him.

𝘐𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘜𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘬𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘋𝘦𝘬𝘶 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘰, 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘬𝘶𝘨𝘰𝘶'𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘋𝘦𝘬𝘶 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘜𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘬𝘢…𝘴𝘰 𝘋𝘦𝘬𝘶 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦.

"Bakugou…" Yuki facepalmed in disappointment. He got a pretty strong teammate, nobody can deny that but his temperament and ego seem to cloud his mind, and just goes loose like a wild animal.

"I swear if you let Uraraka come here…" Yuki sighed again.

He still heard the explosions going on, thinking that Deku and Bakugou were going at it.

"Ping! Ping! Someone's near! Ping! Ping! Someone's near!" the little snow doll that he had on his shoulder said.

𝘜𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘬𝘢…

When Yuki was filling the room with snow, he also made little snow dolls that were camouflaged on the snow. Each of the dolls were connected, so if one saw something the others knew. Uraraka didn't know that right at that moment she was standing beside one of them, poking their head out of the snow to alert the others.

"Hmm." Yuki let the doll know that he heard them.

𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧?

Yuki decided that it was best to make a snowstorm now that Uraraka was here. After all, he knew that the girl had some gravity power but he doesn't remember how she uses it so is best to leave it to the snowstorm.

He opened the palm of his hand and blew into it.

"W-what is he doing?" Uraraka said behind the pillar she was hiding in.

After blowing on it, he closed his hand and threw, what seemed to be, a crystal snowball on the ground. Then a few seconds after it landed on the ground, it started to shatter slowly.

"Deku!" Uraraka said through the communication device.

"What is it? Did you find the weapon?" Deku said back.

"Yes, but he's doing something suspicious…" Before Uraraka could continue, the crystal ball had broken completely and it started to pick up the snow around them, creating a whirlwind.

Uraraka was surprised at the suddenness of the snowstorm that she had stumbled to the ground, showing herself to Yuki. Yuki waved at her before throwing another trick of his; blasting the snow on the ground before something started to grow out of it. The snow started to rise, showing a creature that had teeth for icicles and the eyes of snowflakes. A snow monster.

𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘌𝘭𝘴𝘢! Yuki thanked the snow princess for the idea.

"Deku! The student created a…snow monster? And it's coming towards me!" Uraraka started to run for her life around the room but it was more chaotic with the snowstorm that was happening. Heavy snow kept on falling on her face, blurring her vision, but lucky for her there were some metal boxes around, so she touched two of them and made them float to distract the monster for a bit.

"Ugh!" The monster was stupid enough to fall for the trick and knocked its head on one of the boxes.

"Wow! A monster of snow!" Rika said as she leaned over the monitor, excitedly watching how Yuki was using his Quirk.

"Calm down, Rika," Masaaki said with a delighted giggle, finding it funny how Rika was jumping on her feet.

All the other students were watching the scene unravel from the monitor room. They also saw how Bakugou was going berserk around Deku. Seeing them argue when suddenly Bakugou started to get in position and was pulling something out of his hand gadgets.

"What is he doing?" A boy with red spiky hair said.

All Might saw what was happening and started to worry.

"Young Bakugo, stop!" All Might screamed through the intercom while the students looked at him in confusion. Class-C was even more confused at how the boy was acting so spontaneously, wondering how they let such a personality into the school.

Bakugou suddenly blasted a huge explosion that threw Deku off and shook the whole building.

"What?!" Both Yuki and Uraraka screamed when they fell to the ground.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘪𝘴 𝘉𝘢𝘬𝘶𝘨𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨?!

"Young Bakugou, the next time you use that, I'll stop the fight and your team will lose." All Might said through the intercom, surprising Yuki.

"Bakugou?!" Yuki scratched his head in distress.

All Might started to explain why he wasn't allowed to use 'that' and that they were going to lose points because of it. So Yuki decided to brazen up and talk to Bakugou, inhaling a big breath before speaking.

"Bakugou! I'm not going to let you interrupt me, sorry! But right now Uraraka is here and she's nowhere near the weapon so we're safe on that. But what the hell are you doing? We're going to lose points because of what? The big explosion was you, right? Whatever you're doing that is making us lose points, stop it! If not I'm coming downstairs and dealing with whatever the issue is, okay?" Yuki screamed through the communication device. Not hearing anything for seconds, it was silent and he could only hear his breathing through the earbud—before Bakugou started shouting.

"AHHH! FINE, GRAY EYES! WE'LL FIGHT WITH OUR FISTS!" Bakugou shouted in response to All Might and Yuki. Bakugou then took off the earbud, throwing it to the ground before stomping on it and breaking it.

…𝘋𝘪𝘥 𝘩𝘦 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 "𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘺 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴"?

"Well, at least he listened." With that out of the way, Yuki started to concentrate on Uraraka who had tried multiple times to float in the air and reach the weapon but was always blocked by the snow monster.

"Ahh! Why are you so stubborn, Mr. Snow?" Uraraka shouted while running away from the monster but it was becoming more difficult to do so. The snow had already accumulated a large amount that covered her knees, making it hard for her to run faster. Yuki had no issues with that as he could step on top of the snow without sinking into it.

But then suddenly the ground shook harder than before and a blast came through the ground, blasting everything away and making a huge hole in the middle of the room. Yuki had to put himself against the wall so he wouldn't fly away but Uraraka had floated to a pillar as she held onto it.

She then touch the pillar and made it weightless, using the debris to send them toward Yuki as a distraction.

Yuki was surprised and instinctively used his second Quirk to move the debris out of the way but Uraraka was already floating near the weapon, so Yuki moved the weapon away from her. Activating his Quirk as his eyes changed to purple—concentring and using all his might to move the weapon, feeling lightheaded.

"What the?" Uraraka was surprised and ended up face-slamming to the wall.

Snow had fallen to the floors below and the ground below them kept on breaking, so when Yuki had moved the weapon out of the way it started to fall where Bakugou and Deku were. Surprising the students and teacher in the monitor room.

"...!" Shoto's eyes widen when he saw that Yuki had used his second Quirk, leaning closer to the monitors—before sitting back down with his arms crossed and sighing.

"Bakugou! Watch out!" Yuki screamed to Bakugou who suddenly looked up, the weapon near impact. Yuki panicked and decided to jump off trying to reach the weapon before it reach both Deku and Bakugou.

"Huh?!" Uraraka exclaimed in panic when she saw Yuki jumping off.

Fortunately, Yuki was able to use his second Quirk again and control the fall of the weapon as he maneuver it out of Deku and Bakugou's way, falling right behind it with a loud thud. Yuki then created a pile of soft snow to land on safely, wincing when he slides off the snow into the ground—huffing.

But it seem as though he interrupted a moment between the two boys who were just fighting seconds ago.

"...I could think of…" Deku's arms looked like a mess, especially his right arm which seemed to be falling off at any given moment, while Bakugou stood there and stared as if he was watching a horror movie.

Everyone in the monitor room was quiet.

"Hero Team…Wins!" All Might screamed through the monitor.

𝘏𝘜𝘏?!

Yuki snapped his head to turn around, seeing Ururuka clung to the weapon with rosy cheeks.

"I got it!" Uraraka said at the same time as Deku had fallen unconscious.

𝘏𝘰𝘸?! 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘦…

Yuki turned back to see Deku on the ground. Feeling bad for him as he saw how beat up he was. Bakugou had definitely given him a fight.

Uraraka fell to the ground and started to puke, poor Deku fainted, and Bakugou seemed traumatized. Yuki felt like an outlier. And the snow falling from the ceiling was not helping with the situation, it was rather making it more gloomy. They saw how Deku was being carried off to the nurse's clinic while All Might stood by. He walked towards Uraraka and also told her if she needed help to go to the nurse's office but she kindly declined and walked by herself. Then he walked towards Team D.

Yuki was awkwardly standing behind Bakugou, kind of worried for him because he could see his whole body trembling. He didn't know if to comfort him or talk to him but before he could execute those actions he felt a big hand land on his shoulder.

"I'll take it from here." All Might whispered to Yuki and told him to go to the monitor room. Yuki nodded his head before glancing at Bakugou's back, getting out from the hole in the wall that Bakugou had created. But he stopped, leaned against the wall outside of the building, and decided to wait for Bakugou.

𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘣𝘢𝘥 𝘪𝘧 𝘐 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦…

Two minutes passed of him kicking on the debris outside and being scolded by the robots who were trying to clean the mess before All Might and Bakugou finally came, Bakugou with his head held low.

"All right! Let's go to the monitor room, young men!" All Might said to both of them with a smile.

They both walked behind All Might's big building in silence. Yuki knew that All Might had given Bakugou some kind of advice by looking at how Bakugou was; looking all depressed and defeated. He knew the hatred that Bakugou had against Deku but he didn't know it run this deep. The further they walked the more Yuki contemplated talking to Bakugou, fidgeting with his fingers and biting his lip before gaining the courage. He turned to the depressed Bakugou and started talking.

"Umm, are you okay?" He asked but Bakugou didn't respond.

Yuki stared at Bakugou for a while before taking out a chocolate candy out of his hero pocket, grabbing Bakugou's hand and placing it there then closing it with his own hands, making sure that Bakugou didn't drop it. Then he lifts his head to look at Bakugou's face.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦…

"Umm, I-I don't know how you were fighting but it sounded cool…and your hero outfit looks cool too." Yuki quickly lowered his face and started to walk faster than Bakugou and All Might, arriving at a door with a security lock.

𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳, 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳, 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳!

"Why the rush, Young Todoroki!" All Might laughed while opening the door.

"Thank you!" Yuki bowed his head and quickly got inside the monitor room, greeted by his friends.

"Yuki, what was that?!" Rika clung to Yuki, shaking him back and forth.

"W-what do you mean?! Stop shaking me!" Yuki shouted to Rika.

"Sorry! But you controlled the weapon and also moved away the debris with a hand motion—do you have a second Quirk?! Does that run in your family?" Rika turned around to look at Todoroki, and everyone followed suit. Class 1-A stared from Yuki to Shoto in confusion before making comments.

𝘖𝘩…𝘯𝘰…

"What you have a brother?" a boy with yellow hair said.

"Well, they do both have red hair." A girl with green hair and a long tongue added.

Class 1-A already knew that they were related, they just didn't know if they were cousins or brothers but they never bothered to ask Yuki, thinking that it might be disrespectful or they might seem nosy.

"Oh! That's why you have an ice quirk!" Uraraka who had just come through the door while covering her mouth said. Still looking nauseous.

"Sorry about that, are you okay? Didn't you go to the clinic's office?" Yuki went on to apologize to Uraraka about the monster and making her run around the room.

"No, it's alright…" Uraraka said before she covered her mouth once again. "And they gave me two pills for the nausea. So I'm…hmph…okay…" she said as she gave a slow thumbs up.

"Okay, class! We're going to review Battle 1. Team A and Team D, could you please line up at the front of the room?" All Might said to them.

Bakugou still had his head hung low, though he still held the candy Yuki gave him, and Uraraka was still suffering from nausea, while Yuki was trying his best to not sway from the lightheadedness.

"Well, there isn't anyone here that made 0 mistakes but the MVP of this battle would be, Young Todoroki!"

"Huh?" Yuki stared at All Might in confusion and the whole class gasped.

"It's not either of the winners, Ochaco or Midoriya?" The girl with the green hair, Tsuyu, said.

"Hmm, well…why is that? Does anyone know?" All Might raised his hand enthusiastically.

"Yes, Mr. All Might." A girl with a black high ponytail said. She continued.

"That is because Yuki adapted the most context of the training." She then went on about how Bakugou acted on his own due to a personal grudge thus making foolish decisions. Midoriya was also foolish by making rash decisions, and Uraraka let her guard down in the middle of the battle and that the final attack was too reckless.

"But, Todoroki was prepared for the arrival of their opponent. Blocking the entrance with an ice barrier and filling the room with snow so that it would be hard for the opponent to walk on, he also dropped the temperature, and thanks to that he was able to distract Deku and Uraraka since the beginning who were freezing from the cold. Also, the little spies that he had implanted on the snow had warned him about Uraraka's whereabouts, thus quickly calculating to make a snowstorm and a snow monster that would distract Uraraka from the target but he was startled when Uraraka did her final attack because he hadn't assumed that she would be able to get to the weapon." the girl, Momo, said with clarity.

The room went quiet as they were impressed by Momo.

"O-oh!" Yuki stared at Momo in admiration.

"W-well, there are some parts that he needs to work on but that's all correct!" All Might seemed surprised by the girl's response but regardless he gave her a big thumbs up.

"All right everyone! Let's continue, change the locations and start the second match! Tackle this training after thinking about what we just talked about." All Might started to draw another set of balls.

"Aha! Team B are the heroes and Team I are the villains."

In Team B there was Shoto Todoroki and Menzo Shoji, while in Team I Mashirao Ojiro and Toru Hagakure. Both teams started to get ready—Yuki approached Team B.

"Good luck to both of you!" Yuki said to Shoto and Menzo, smiling from left to right.

"Thank you." Menzo bowed to Yuki while Shoto just gave him a pat on the head and did a settled smile. Before pointing to Yuki in between his eyes and flicking him on the forehead.

"Ow!" Yuki winced as he soothed his forehead.

"Don't use your Quirk again."

"Okay! Both teams go to the location!" All Might said.

"Yes, sir!" the teams went out of the monitor room, and now all they had to do was just wait until both teams were ready to start. t

Yuki was planning on talking to his friends and maybe introducing himself to the other students but out of the corner of his eye, he saw Bakugou standing there—with the gloomy face he still had from minutes ago.

"Yuki, tell us more about your second Quirk," Susumu asked Yuki while she was trying to get Rika to stop touching her hair.

"Umm, I'll go talk to someone else during the battle, okay?" Yuki scratched his arm awkwardly, trying to not make it obvious that he was going to talk to Bakugou.

"Oh, sure—Hey! Stop touching my hair!" Susumu screamed to Rika.

"But it's so soft and silky, what type of products do you use?" Rika continued with her shenanigans.

Yuki approached Bakugou and stood beside him, thankfully everyone was talking about the upcoming battles so nobody looked at him while he awkwardly inched toward Bakugou.

"U—did you eat the candy that I gave you?" Yuki smiled at him trying to lift his mood but it seemed like Bakugou was not going to respond to him at all, either from the after-shock or he was plainly ignoring him but Yuki didn't let that discourage him.

"I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Todoroki Yuki. You can just call me Yuki or anything that you feel comfortable with," he thought back to the 'gray eyes' comment. "And when I said that I found your outfit cool, I meant it…" Yuki cringed in his mind but he was smiling at Bakugou.

But Bakugou still didn't respond, so he did the last thing he could think of.

"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘢 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴 1-𝘈? 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦?" 𝘙𝘪𝘬𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘠𝘶𝘬𝘪'𝘴 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘩𝘦 "𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴" 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘠𝘶𝘬𝘪 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵.

Thinking back on this, Yuki took out a gum wrapper from his pocket, wrote his number, and gave it to Bakugou who finally looked at Yuki when he placed the gum wrapper on his hand. Yuki held onto Bakugou's hand.

"Hit me up when you feel sad!" Yuki said before running off in embarrassment.

𝘏𝘪𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘶𝘱…? Bakugou had never heard that term but he then look at his hand which had a gum wrapper and a piece of candy, not even noticing that he had candy in his hand. At first, he didn't react but he then crushes the gum paper with candy and stuffed it into his pocket.

𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶…𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦?! Bakugou stared at Yuki who was now talking to his friends, his eyes filled with anger as he clench his fists.

In the second battle, Team I had sent Toru, the invisible girl, to ambush Team B and capture them but Menzo had caught onto this and told Shoto. Ojiro had stayed behind to guard the weapon, just like how Bakugou and Yuki had done. Shoto then told Menzo to get out and he used his quirk to freeze the whole building. Also freezing the monitor room.

"I-is so cold!"

Everyone in the room was trembling from the cold except for Bakugou and Yuki. Yuki was trying to control the freezing air away from his friends while Bakugou didn't care and just had slouched shoulders.

"He did not cause any damage to his teammate or the nuclear weapon, and on top of that, he weakened the enemy," All Might explained to the class while he shivered. As Shoto had also frozen his opponent's feet so that they wouldn't move from their place.

"He's so strong" students from the class praised Shoto.

𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘩, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳! Yuki thought with a smug face.

While Bakugou stood there in shock, watching the monitors and seeing how strong Shoto Todorki was.

Shoto had reached the weapon in less than 5 minutes and the hero team won easily.

Yuki heard the praises from Shoto's classmates and his own, now he felt good about being in the Todoroki family but at the same time, he felt pressured.

He consciously turned around and saw that Bakugou was clenching his teeth.

𝘋𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴?

Yuki could imagine Bakugou feeling more devastated after seeing Team I win so easily after what he went through to not even win at the end.

They continue to watch all the other teams in the battles and seeing how each improvised and got creative with their quirks, everyone would compliment one another when they would find someone admirable. Soon after they were done, All Might praised them all and told them how an amazing job they did on the battles but he seemed to be in a rush and quickly left, leaving students in confusion.

And leaving Bakugou in his thoughts.
