Calio raised a brow, a bit unsettled by what just happened.
'What the hell is wrong with this guy now? He seems tense for some reason.'
Standing close to Vincent, he was able to observe the changes in Vincent's facial expressions firsthand.
A few strange and curious gazes had been thrown theyr way, but other than that, everyone else continued their silent march.
Calio turned his gaze to the man that had stopped.
He raised a brow,
'He looks normal, I guess?'
Suddenly, he froze.
He turned to Vincent. Their eyes met.
If gazes could speak, theirs would be screaming profanitiesin synchronized panic.
"T-This is bad, isn't it? I thought we got all of them!" Calio whispered in a panic.
Vincent shook his head grimly,
"No. We were naive to think so. Obviously they would have hidden themselves better. Perhaps those we caught were the sacrifices meant to throw off our suspicions."
Calio shivered.
The implications of this were rather terrifying to think about.
