--Park Seongmin's Point of View--
I took one last snap of the scene before the show ended. An standing ovation had been granted to the last performers since the act finally came to an unexpected end.
"Wake up." were the words spoken at the very beginning down to the ending.
I looked at the photo I captured and realized how good of an actress my friend is.
"HONEY LOU!" the crowd roared with pride.
"That's our girl~" the girls squealed in happiness, proud at the extraordinary gift that Seoul Global High has presented this year's graduating seniors.
"All there is left now is their graduation."
The theatre was lit up with bright lights, all the performers were called back on stage to execute a final closing act.
The curtains began to get caught up in flames and this time, no one had done it on purpose.
"Everyone! Evacuate the building immediately!" the alarms went off, fire grew quicker and I assisted everyone else on the way out because this place is seriously cursed with misfortune.
"Every single time!!" the other students complained about how danger is never absent in this area of the campus.
"Mom." cries filled the air with the huge fire engulfing the theatre hall, it fell into ruin just as soon as the performances ended.
The news got out fast, every student's guardian were let inside the school grounds to take them home.
"Sora! Where are the others? Are you okay?" she was crying and I couldn't prevent myself from holding her hands for comfort, I searched for our friends and as soon as help came to put the fire out, Song appeared in time.
"There, there. You're with me now." we both looked at each other before separating ways.
Sora's family came running to their side, it felt like all those years of cold treatment from them had wiped away in an instant.
All the people whom I knew had family issues had been given assurance that they were truly loved and cared for.
The day ended like nothing tragic happened, every one of us got out without a burn, scratch, or even a single injury.
Posted!!
"All of the best scenes are now available online, if anyone has any complaint about the quality. Too late!!" the school page publisher shouted in relief, finally done with the campus' activity report as a mean of advertising Seoul Global High.
I counted three seconds and predicted perfectly the presence of someone who cared so much about her image.
Someone came barging inside the photography club's designated room, and as usual...
"Delete this, I look hideous!" Min Seo's friend entered the door with the handle falling over on the floor although, it was locked a moment ago.
"Cut it out, freak! You always do this to our poor door, and you aren't the one paying for the repair fees." my fellow member in the club retorted, leaving me to deal with this girl again.
I sighed heavily, recalling all those other times I had to say this.
"Listen, we asked you all for permission to post the pictures before we even published it." I started with the first line on how to deal with unsatisfied customers according to Sookyung's guide as an employee which I've read a few pages from.
"We sent all the photos privately so you could choose whichever looks best in your eyes. This is on you, friend of Min Seo." the conversation ended before it even began, I escorted the girls out except for Min Seo since she's not really like them. "Stay."
She did as I told her, watching the members work on this year's graduation album such as the school yearbook.
"When will you guys be releasing these?" her hands felt the engraved letters on each copy, walking by my side as we checked how things came out from the printers.
"Say, uhmm... Are you free this evening?" I casually looked her in the eyes, those blue eyes paired with her unnatural auburn red hair looking back into my simple black pair of pupils.
"Is this how you ask a girl out?" she hid her face behind her hair.
"A girl... You are no girl to me." I replied, laughing at her response before taking her hands in mine consentiously.
"To me, you are a young lady who just happened to make my heart skip a beat." I couldn't believe my own ears...
"What a way to flirt with me, Min-ahh." her voice shifted from being shy to boldness.
"What can I say? I'm a smooth-talker." we both clicked unexpectedly and started to go out eversince that day.
--Kim Sihyeon's Point of View--
Five months have passed.
How is everyone? Nothing much has changed after months of having no classes, Seoul Global High has been going through a renovation and they have just announced the start of this school year a week ago.
And now~
"Attention all students, new and returning. There will be an opening ceremony held on the school grounds, we encourage you all to surround the stage right in front of the School Arts Hall Theatre." the school monitor lit up and the journalist club took charge in welcoming us back.
Everything looks so brand new!
"Hey there, are you perhaps single?" a blue-haired male glided his way to me, tapping the other end of my shoulder while standing on my right side.
"Flowers for my beautiful girlfriend. Haven't seen you for a week now." he tightly held me and we were then scolded by some of the teachers for displaying public affection inside the campus.
"Okay now, back off." I gazed around to find many familiar faces, seeing newly formed couples in our circle of friends.
"Don't you just love how there is romance in the air?" Sookyung pointed out upon counting all the pairs surrounding him.
"How exactly did it come to this?" Ji Eun and Jihyun both arrived in the scene as well, holding each other hand in hand.
Min Seo and her friends joined us, embracing Seongmin which caught all of us in for a surprise.
"My, my..." I commented, knowing that this is a sign that the story is about to officially end.
With Honey awakening from a four-year long coma to being sent here by her family.
Haesu reuniting with her sister whom she used to hate.
Yua revealing her identity and Dan showing his true intentions.
Yun Oh recognizing Honey and bringing up the talk about first love.
The development in Sora and Song's untold feelings.
Ji Eun and Jihyun's huge transformation from evil to good.
Kim Young breaking free from his now ex-girlfriend and ex-lover.
Triggers were pulled from left to right, secrets unraveled after years of being kept in the dark.
Misunderstandings were now brought to light.
Traumas that used to give birth to problems turned into growth.
Families now together as one, dealing with their business so openly and good as done.
Speaking of families, it turns out that Byungchan's sister survived the accident that his family had gone through years ago.
They eventually reunited and he wouldn't let a single minute pass without being next to her.
Miles had gone back to his native country to pursue a higher education and focus solely on improving his skills.
"Hey, hey! Looking good, you two." Riyanna swung her arm over my shoulder, with her other one nudging my boyfriend's side.
"Stop that." annoyed by the gestures of our closest friend, he pulled me away from her.
"Where's Dan?" all eyes were on Jihyun who clearly stopped liking the blonde-haired boy for a while now. "How come?!"
"Isn't that good news?" Ji Eun didn't have a clue, only noticing it now. We were all happy to hear of her finally breaking free from having such formidable feelings for our friend.
A friend our eyes now searched for.
"Is that who you're looking for?" the rest of us followed where Min Seo had her finger pointed at.
New school year, new look... I guess?
"I never thought you'd eventually fix your hair color." Jihyun hugged her best friend, showing how much they have grown closer after resolving all conflicts and accepting each other fully without letting their long term friendship go to waste.
"Suits you better than that dirty blonde hair you had." Yeonju was prepared to run away when Dan closed his fists, ready to throw it at my boyfriend. "Enough, they're going to start now."
Yua pulled the two of them away, directing us all to the stage.
"Microphone test. 1, 2... 1, 2, 3... Okay!"
Miss Eun finally made an appearance again after a little while.
"Children~ Or should I say, young adolescences." she opened up the start of the school year by welcoming all new students and reminding us old ones that we are entering yet another level.
"The next level in your lives wherein every choices you make, will decide the set of responsibilities you have to deal with."
And yada-yada... Blah, blah, blah...
"Your work is almost done."
I shut my eyes to avoid seeing anyone or anything I'm not supposed to see.
"How much longer?" I asked, feeling anxious that things would just end here and there.
Then and now.
"Sooner than later. It is like death, you won't see it coming, in your case, you won't be experiencing death unlike the others." however...
The side effects of having to transfer from one life to another, this world to the other, and be surrounded by people I know not nor remember, it is just energy consuming.
"Well, you had it coming your way when you began to exist as an entity that just cannot be left alone."
It would have been better if I continued to be untouched.
Too bad, I have to deal with whatever you may call this.
"Now, back into reality you go!" the voice faded and when I opened my eyes...
"Sihyeon, what happened to you? Are you high?"
Hyunjoo didn't hesitate for a moment to check on me.
"High?? Have you ever tried-" I shut Yeonju's mouth before he said it.
"No, I have not tried that." I plainly replied, giving Hyunjoo a quick glance and mouthed the words 'It is happening'.
He immediately understood it and had to accept the truth just as I did.
'It is what we have all been preparing for this entire story.' in this life, this is the only time I could ask for their help.
The only part where I don't have to carry it all on my own, to be able to tell someone else about what goes on exactly.
"I'm so happy to be here today, I'll miss you guys so bad!"
I couldn't help but let my tears fall, feeling my emotions and letting my human out for the first and last time.
"But we just got here, why are you talking as if you're going away?" I shook my head to disregard their questions, taking a last look around and appreciating how this life went.
"It may not have been perfect and smooth but it is worth it."
Or is it not..?
