Xu Zhenguo fell silent, then let out a slow sigh. "I'm apologizing to you. It's my fault for wronging you."
The roars from just moments ago still echoed in Xu Ke's ears.
He was slightly startled, unaccustomed to this side of his usually stern father.
"You're telling me this now?" Xu Ke smiled and changed the subject. "This isn't the first time you've wronged me. If you wanted to apologize, you should have done it years ago when you cut my internet cable."
"You little brat, what are you talking about?" Xu Zhenguo's anger flared. "How is that the same thing? I did that for your own good!"
"I was doing research," Xu Ke retorted.
"Nonsense!" Xu Zhenguo glared furiously.
"Enough!" Shen Fen came out to mediate. "Can't you two have a decent conversation?"
"Look at the nonsense this little brat is spouting!" Xu Zhenguo was fuming. He had swallowed his pride to apologize sincerely, yet Xu Ke responded with jokes.
