Blue takes Ivory to get a wedding dress and she hears an interesting conversation between the sales lady and Blue. later she sees birdie and the two hug. birdie is excited for ivory.
Blue and Ivory sat in silence as the chauffeur hauled them to the bridal store for a dress. Blue didn't want Ivory, Birdie, and Honor to settle on a dress without his permission, so he was tagging along for the perfect fit, and Ivory felt her stomach twirl into a knot and felt like peeing her pants. Blue made her nervous, she feared him, and believed that he used that as an advantage.
"I have rules," Blue said after awkward silence became too much to bear, "I won't allow too much cleavage or a dress too short. My wife will look the part of a mafia woman."
Ivory nodded and Blue motioned for her to come closer; she hesitated because she knew his "nice guy act" was all for show, then decided that listening to him would keep her safe. She slowly made her way over to him, and he gently placed her into his lap and had her rest against his chest, her head on his shoulder while Blue caressed her ankle.
It was too intimate and sweet for Ivory's liking; he was cruel and heartless, though she wanted to study him, see what his patterns were not only to understand him, but find a way to escape. She had no diploma, and wasn't sure how to find her transcript, though she would figure that out later. For now, she would play the perfect mafia wife and hoped that Blue wouldn't notice her change in demeanor. He was too smart for his own good.
Blue's hand rubbed her back and pulled her closer to him; Ivory's heart pounded, she was nervous, though tried not to show it.
"Your hearts pounding," Blue's hand met her chin and faced her face to his, "Why?"
"I don't know."
Blue chuckled, "I get it; this was all thrown at you too quickly that you didn't have time to comprehend it. The wedding is planned and executed quickly. Remember, this is an alliance, power, bloodlines."
Ivory nodded and the limo halted. Blue opened the door and led her inside the bridal shop where she was overwhelmed with hundreds of elegant and refined wedding dresses. Ivory ran her fingers through one of the dresses, intrigued by how sparkly it was.
Ivory noted that Honor and Birdie weren't at the store yet, and her heart dropped when she saw that Lily wasn't around either.
"What's wrong?" Blue asked.
Ivory turned to him. "I haven't seen Lily. Is she coming?"
Blue shook his head. "I sent her on a mission -- you'll see her at the wedding." He ruffled Ivory's hair and she gave him a small smile. "It's nice to see that you two have gotten closer."
Ivory was about to say that she liked Lily; however, her gut screamed at her, screeching at her like an alarm clock: DO NOT TELL HIM ANYTHING. Ivory just nodded and said nothing else.
She didn't want to lose another people she cared about.
A saleswoman walked over, "Welcome! What type of dress are you looking for?" She peered at the dress Ivory was touching, "Ah, straight from Italy! They have beautiful clothing there!"
Blue's eyes flicked over to Ivory and then to the saleswoman, his hand placed onto Ivory's lower back, pulling her closer to him. "My fiancée and I were interested in your more elegant and timeless dresses."
The saleswoman nodded and lead Blue over to the back of the store with some dresses that fit his description, and she and Blue spoke about each dress briefly.
"I think she's too petite for this one," Blue pointed to a ballgown dress where the straps were off the shoulder, "it's too long and I don't want to have it altered too much."
The saleswoman smiled, "I have this in a petite size; she can try it and see if she likes it!"
"Ivory, come here!" Blue called.
Ivory's attention diverted from the dresses she was peering at and she made her way to the back of the boutique, where she smiled at the dress and decided to try it on. The saleswoman grabbed a few other timeless dresses: one more a-line and another a mermaid style with diamonds. Ivory picked out a few delicate looking veils and made her way to one of the fitting rooms, where Blue insisted she try on the ballgown dress first.
After Ivory put on the dress in the fitting room, she adjusted the waist band to make sure it wasn't too tight. She went to grab one of the veils when her head began to pound. She then leaned over with one hand on the chair, offering her support as the other lay on her head.
She saw a vision of a man that resembled Blue, just with scales on his arms and on his green tail and weirdly slit eyes staring down at her with a sword that had etched symbols on it --- she couldn't get a clear picture of where the man was and why he reminded her of Blue, but the air felt cold.
The men held a sword in her face, and smirked, "See you in your next life."
Ivory's eyes shot open; and she took a few second to adjust to the peculiar vision she had just witnessed. Ivory knew that vision wasn't just her imagination and wondered what it had meant before she realized that something or someone had sent her a message -- the Blue Dragons was older, more ancient, and more sinister than she thought.
She decided to push away the vision for now and put on a show for Blue and the saleswoman. The sad part was that she couldn't share this visions with anyone because of how all eyes are on her 24/7; Ivory never felt so alone and isolated in her life. Here she was getting fitted for a wedding dress for a man who murdered her real lover, her former best friend, made her harm others at the expense of her life, and it was all for power, bloodlines. Ivory had no idea what that meant, though, soon she would unmask Blue and his secrets -- she would end him.
Ivory smirked to herself and unlocked the fitting room door and waited for the reactions that she would get.
